This event is considered a medium - hard event but it looks more like a really hard one to do. The event is composed of 4 buildings with 5 steps each. The first 4 steps are doable 1 time, the 5th step can be repeated as many times as we want.

Attention to beginner players: you need to have the elephant & crab statues opened in the Golden Banana Temple in Bahamarama to be able to complete this event!

The cloudrow (420) + 3 givers (85 each) must be purchased with Gear Coins (GC) in the Event Shop for a grand total of 675 Gear Coins.

To be able to get those 675 GC, we need to complete 6 steps per building (5 steps + repeat of 5th step), this will ensure that we have 676 Gear Coins. We need to procede with building 1 & 2 to get items to complete steps in building 3 and then go to building 4 (see coloured items bellow):

    Building 1:Bald CypressesHand-Woven BasketsCrabsRewards
    steps 1-51370120225159 GC + 20 Sailcloths
    step 5 (repeat)370387553 GC + 7 Sailcloths
    Total needed:1740158300212 GC + 27 Sailcloths
    Building 2:LadybugsBricksPaintsRewards
    steps 1-5225330046550 GC + 6 Farm Coins + 40 Tree Lugs
    step 5 (repeat)7510501456 Farm Coins + 14 Tree Lugs
    Total needed:300435061050 GC + 12 Farm Coins + 54 Tree Lugs
Building 3:Spooky SpidersSailcloths Tree Lugs Rewards
    steps 1-52252040115 GC + 5 Masts
    step 5 (repeat)7561239 GC + 1 Mast
    Total needed:3002652154 GC + 6 Masts
    Building 4:Masts ElephantsSkateboardsRewards
    steps 1-5522530195 GC + 12 Farm Coins
    step 5 (repeat)1751065 GC + 12 Farm Coins
    Total needed:630040260 GC + 24 Farm Coins
Event Crop: Bald Cypresses (5h) plantable on the Event field only (98 1x1 plots). Water and manure are the only items that can be used on the event crop and no buffers will be affecting the harvests. We need to harvest 18 times the full event field to get the required amount of event crops to finish this event.

Drops: During the event, these tools (brick, paint & hand-woven basket) will drop more regularly. You will receive them when harvesting your crops on the event playfield!

    The cloudrow gives +1 from Manufactories for 4h + 1 Crate O'Fiery Trail I + 1 Crate O'Sailling II (new crate)

    Crate O'Sailling II:

receive 1 random item from the following:
    10 x Spooky spiders, 10 x Ladybugs, 10 x Crabs, 10 x Elephants, 8 x Handwoven baskets,
    125 x Bricks, 20 x Paint, 2 x Skateboards

Good luck to all who will be attempting this event!

    Thanks Nordais.

That said, I'll grow stuff but don't care if I don't finish.

The hand-woven basket, paint and brick are tools that drop out randomly when we harvest things + can be obtained by opening tool kits.

You get Spooky Spiders from Spider pens you have on mainland not a MM product! I hope that helps you Nuubi!

Is it better to fill the event field with 1x1 plots for the initial planting? Usually I use 2x2 for other fields but since we can only use regular water and manure should I plant 1x1 plots?

Always go for max 2x2, then 1x2 and finally 1x1. This means that you'll need less seed to sow the entire field. Also less water usage and less manure too! I'm not counting on the drops from the even field to advance in this event. From experience on my baby farm, drop rate is better when using 2x2 (I have over 300 drop from the ongoing pipe event still and I'm running out of crops to mill).

You purchase the spider pen through Jacks Shop in Moonlight World, but you set the pens out on normal farming land.

I blinking hate event land events. Totally selfish reasons though. They start 8 or 9pm here (dependending on DLST ) so even to get the starter seeds harvested it means staying up until midnight. Always get such a slow start. And what bright spark chose ladybugs that only came from wonder pens that are no longer available. Great way to alienate the new players.

Alas, I was in a hurry and haven't cleared my head with my morning coffee, so put the 10 starter seeds on 1x1. I never considered the amount of water or manure needed or that drop rates are better with certain size plots. My tiny brain only thought of the number of seeds I'd harvest. Is there somewhere in the Forum that breaks down harvest results for each size using only water and manure? Then also calculates numbers when harvested with additional buffs? I truly get stressed when trying to sort all these myself. Too detailed explanations tend to muddle the brain more than just seeing the end result!

There is some vague memory of having a similar discussion long ago on this or a similar topic. I am under the impression that because we have no drops in the Sail event and can only use water and manure, it does not matter the size plot we place. But now I see that's not the case because we use more water and manure with 1x1. If I am not concerned about water and manure, does one size plot yield more seeds than others? Thank you! And now off to get that cuppa and clear the cobwebs! :D

For Event Field events with no buffs, it doesnt matter at all what field size you use, you will end up with the same number of harvested items. The only advantage of bigger (and less) plots is the reduced use of water and manure. :)

No matter what size of plots you're using, in the end you'll get the same amout out of it. The size of the event field is 98, so you'll get 196 (2x98 ) event crops back from a single harvest. Now, if you use 1x1 plot, you'll need 98 crops to sow back, while using a combination of different plot sizes (autofill with the harvester gave me 21 2x2, 5 1x2 and 4 1x1) only asks for 30 seeds to fill the event field. So, harvesting a full field gets me 128, use 30 to sow, leaving me 98 event crops to use as donation too (Edited the numbers).

I find that drops are better in 2x2 than in 1x1, but in this case the drops are only tools and you cannot count on that to help you finish the event. The shear number of tools needed is so high that you cannot expect to get tem all from drops on the event field.

Breakdown of time for the crop to mature:

    Bald Cypresses: 5h
    with only water: 4h
with water & manure (rune in the Tree of Wisdom activated): 3h36

It does matter in the beginning, when you do not have seeds for every plot. Always start with big plots, one seed gives 5 to next round, small plot gives only 2. I always use as big plots as possible on Event Field.

I'm with ctindaldavies - I hate the event field events.

Only sewinglady is doing this event. And I goofed. Be careful! You can continue to donate the last (fifth) level OVER AND OVER. The rewards are NOT necessarily worth it. In particular the ladybug level.

A spider was found and I had time to breed one creature, but where can I find its food "Glowworm".
Also lost is a ladybug. Empty in the square. If they come up for sale, you can't afford to buy them.
It's a nice event when you can't even complete one round.

Don't forget, we can make partial donations for crops, so once you sowed the entire event field dump the rest of your crops into the event and wait for the 5 free seeds and do that again.

It's too late for me to heed this warning now.:(
I gave away hundreds of my ladybugs like throwing a stone into a bottomless well.:cry:

I freed 600 ladybugs by paying 150,000 cc for each of them.:pxD
