The Trail of Sugar Skulls

This is a three paths event where players can only play one path at a time unless purchasing top en event baskets. To start, players will need to mill starter seeds so make sure your mill is not jam packed with feed at the start of the event. There's 3 different event crops, 1 event drop and a bunch of Star Coins dispensers with a 10h cooldown time.

Each player will start with 1 Ancient Key to open one path and 5 Sugar Skulls to mill event crops. After 5h the system will check and book up to 5 Sugar Skulls, so do not forget the set seed milling after a bunch of long milling time feeds to accumulate them for the next event crop.

Event crops:

1 Garden Skull Seed + 1 Sugar Skull = 1 Garden Skull Flower (Main Land path) 5h30 Main Land only

1 Island Skull Seed + 1 Sugar Skull = 1 Island Skull Flower (Bahamarama path) 6h Bahamarama plantation only

1 Moonlight Skull Seed + 1 Sugar Skull = 1 Moonlight Skull Flower 6h Moonlight Field only

Event drop: Pyro Powder from crops and trees on the Main Land, Bahamarama Plantation and Moonlight Field only

Paths:

Main Land Path: 3436 Garden Skull Flowers

Bahamarama Plantation Path: 3232 Island Skull Flowers

Moonlight Field Path: 3435 Moonlight Skull Flowers

To get the 3 givers + the cloudrow:

464 Pyro Powders x 3 givers + 625 Pyro Powders for cloudrow = 2017 Pyro Powders

Givers and cloudrow will only be accessible once 2 side paths are opened and the cloudrow needs all 3 paths to be completed first.

There's 6 Star Coins dispensers (2 per path), the first one offers 8 Star Coins each 10h (4th step of the path) and the second one offers 12 Star Coins each 10h (6th step of the path). The goal is to open these as soon as possible!

In the Star Coins' Shop we can get:

*****3 Candy Cottage Upgrades (50 SC each = 150 SC)*****
1 Piccolo Wonder Box (120 SC)
*****1 Shire Horse Stable II: Orange (100 SC)*****
Horror Tomato Stable + Yellow upgrade (60SC + 80SC = 140 SC)

The Ancient Keys needed to open other paths are hidden in crates that will be opened as soon as you get them: Crate O'Trail III, Crate O'Trail VI and Crate O'Trail IX

I'm in on the usual 3 farms.

My advice - as always - is to start with the MM field crop and get that section out of the way as fast as possible so you can get back to farming regular MM crops.

Don't forget to move your Howies to the main field and the main baha field. Remember that the buffs that affect drop rate generally do NOT work on the bahamarama fields and that drop rate on MM fields is generally lacking.

Put out long crops overnight - something 24 hours long on baha, terror eggplant on MM, and whatever you have that's the longest time normal crop you've got (amaranth for those of us who are at that level or higher).

Save your CRs that affect drop rates for tomorrow.

 

I personally will start with the main land section, compared to Moonlight field they have the same size (202) but the Moonlight field asks for 3435 crops while the Main Land only 2736 event crops (a difference of 699). That means that I could activate the 2 first Star Coin dispensers faster that the one on Moonlight field. Just a tought.

 

Interesting strategy. Hadn't thought about it that way. Maybe I'll try it on one or more farms.

Just put in the long timed crops and moved things around on this farm and SL's. Still have to fool with PM23. Then on to way more fun things - the great fall clean up!

I was going to start with MM field but seeing the above posts, may go for the main field first as well - makes sense. I didn't even notice them in the FAQs (skimming again ) so thanks for the heads up on that.

I shall likely skip the event and continue focus on various quests. Family arriving soon for two-week visit so my farm time will be sporadic. Wish success to all doing the events.

 

Thank you Nordais for doing the hard thinking and number crunching. I am prepping fields in the hope of some nice drops. My blind bat-eyes spotted some horror tomatoes up for grabs so feel motivated.

 

Hi for Garden Skull Flowers Mainland crop I come up with a total of 3436 thanks to my farm husband!

 

Some may think this is REALLY WEIRD ADVICE, but if you have a Jack O Gift, it's very easy for you to finish the plants after playing for 2-3 hours BUT

it's just, the initial seeds of the next path only come every 5 hours, sometimes even 6 hours, and without them and the keys, you won't get to the next path and JOG will "kind of waste" the rest of the time!

I myself have been diligent, used +2 boosters and the JOG feature in the MM area, and even those newest plants are over 20,000 and each, so I think I'll start from the Main Field area myself, so that when things go like I mentioned above, there's at least something to grow so to speak, with a "megabooster" when those sets of tasks of the Agricultural Society, there are enough of them and the need for plants is tens, even hundreds of thousands to deliver there!

Good advice, of course it doesn't apply to them. LUCK has not brought JOG effects from Piccolo Box items, I now have 2 JOGs and one has 18 charges, the other has 7 left.

p.s. drops, I didn't even panic last night at 11.00pm when I noticed this starting, the second time I had more than 9000 driops left over and the last time more than 10000 drops, when they accumulate all the time from two areas other than the one you cultivate in the event plant mind! Good luck and maybe someone got some help from this too.

p.p.s the thing that you had JOG time available, but you can't even get to the next path, it's true of course, it happened to me in the middle of the night, at 02am and there were 5 hours left, that's why this instruction/word of warning that sometimes the effect can be even too good!

 

Correction made, still the Garden Skull Flower is still the fastest event crop of the lot (5h30 vs 6h for the other two). Still the one to go for first!

I did the first part of the trail and won a Crate of Trail I but it's not in my inventory - is it hidden somewhere else?

 

It isn't a normal crate like you are thinking that you would find in your deco inventory to open.

Its contents are booked immediately as rewards.

Sewinglady's farm is quite far ahead in this game having used several bonuses in the diamond and gold slots, plus some wheel bonuses and a purchased basket. That said, the reason I'm here is to warn us all - there's something odd with the harvestable items near the cacti. They show up as locked when they shouldn't be. Then after a minute or so (heavy on the "or so") they show as harvestable and can finally be donated to and then harvested. So don't get frustrated like I did. Just let them 'stew' until they are ready and then make the donation.

Here we are, me and my girlfriend, quite happy because:

Less than 1000 SSG used and one JACK.

As completed areas, the Main and partly the Island section are already done, so much so that the first FOUR of those places that give Star Coins are open and collectable at the same time.

A very easy task this time for us, because with the progress by making the plant of the event, we directly opened that DROPS demanding place, even though the PREPARATION was a weak 15.5-hour plant for us, the longest 12-hour plant in the WC regions anyway. there were no Ixora or Amaranth plants in the fields.

But this is what I suspected the night before, that it doesn't matter now that the preparation was not at our normal level (because NOT used forum and see FAQ 24h earlier than Event) !

Have to say, NO NEED to drop-presents (it is a guess), so give those to other neirbourghs, if You want!

 

Still slogging along on this farm and PM23's. I did start the event with the main field. Will move on to Baha today on both farms still growing crops.

Sewinglady's farm is all done with crops. Now sowing long timed crops on the 3 event fields to get the drops for the center item (CR).

NJ - glad you were able to get enough drops for the event, not sure what voodoo you used to do that, but kudos.

 

Working on finishing the MM part, main is done. Not really much of a tactic here, grow& throw. Hoped to get that part out of the way so I could do more MM crops. The critters eat so much.

My precious Tomato critters have arrived safely, all I really wanted. Such a relif, the rest is just icing on Pinkie Pie pie
