Make Alpine Apricot trees and grow them. Make badges to get more space to grow them and open new slots in Path of wisdom to get new things open as well as get more storage etc.
Recycle to get AEP and deliver customer orders to get AEP. You need AEP to level up. The tasks in Village square also can give you AEP.
Be careful not to fill your warehouse too full. If there is no space left, your options are wait till you can use your stuff (recycling, orders etc) or just throw something to trash can.

As a fellow longterm player, I would ask, what are your game goals? For me, I was a bit bored, the only quests I have left are the ones that either ask for a million long growing crops, or a billion 3 hour ones, so when I wanted to actually spend some time with my farm, there wasn't anything to do. The Valley scratches that itch and has motivated me toward more farming than I have done for the past couple of years. However, the actual rewards from the Valley are few. Yes there is a cloud row that increases tree yield or something like that, but at our level... how important is that? The Sunflower Hill seems like it will be great. I am about five days (life permitting!) from opening that, Merry Christmas to me! But if you want actual benefits from the Valley, then no, it's really not very advantageous. So if you want something to DO, yes, I find it very rewarding, especially after level five - until then, it is very tedious. But if you want BENEFITS, or if you just like to log in briefly twice a day, then no, as there is a fair amount of strategy involved in maximizing your fun :)feel free to IGM me with specific questions, I have made every mistake, twice!

Edelweiss Valley (EV) offers some great bonuses: reaching level 10 you'll have 1 cloudrow that boosts tree production + 1 giver that also boosts tree production on all fields. It is also good to trash garbage inventory of yellow upgrades! You're going to need them because Edelweiss Valley works only if you recycle crops, tree fruits, animals, pens, workshops and products. EV has also a limited inventory space for everything, so planning is key to not get stuck.

Good luck Mooboy, you'll get the twist in the end, for sure!

Happy to see this discussion and will follow with interest. I am very far from being able to open EV but am quite curious about it. I see this discussion as helpful prep for those who will open it in the future.

I initially opened EV due to having already finished all FSQs and could do something new besides the Season (although that keeps me busy too). It became tedious and I stopped visiting the area daily as lumber is a big bottleneck to getting stuff done. BP made some changes so you can make more than 1 thing at a time as it was such short timed items in the beginning that it was like babysitting carrots, wheat and hay. Fine if you have some time but not something you want to do all day every day.

Anyway...that has been improved. My motivation for working on it now is for the additional land in Sunflower Hill. you cannot grow crops there but you can put anything else there. I have put my storage buildings there and my Jumbo trees to free up farm space on the Glade. Some players chasing EP now have another section to park their givers. It has a lot of potential.

I say give it a try....do as much or as little as you want. It may not be for everyone. It does help to have a plan but you can wing it too :D

It does require barn stocks so it is good if you have surplus stocks. If you struggle with inventory, you may find it frustrating.

    Best wishes!
