Carnival Queen + "Disaster Candy" Carnival Support Quest

Just wanted to remind everyone to use your season tokens, season ends in just a few hours. I have used mine for 2 +1 bonuses to combine with a 100% crop bonus I had tucked away in my barn. Burning lots of green stuff, but am already half done with the required crops. Glad I save crates so I can replenish my goo when I am done with this event.

 

Hoping your interwebs are restored and you are back to farming. When ours goes down for any length of time, we (not the royal "we", in this case it's my husband and myself) are not happy campers - we are both on our computers far too much.

Our winter of discontent, er, crappy weather continues. This morning we are at about 10 below zero and I have an appointment to go to. Ugh.

Edited to add: Just played a few rounds of the carnival mini-game. So far, the Monkey Queen has been VERY generous with the star coins! 9 games played on SL's farm and total star coin count is 295! So averaging 32 coins per mini-game.

 

Just posting to let fellow farmers know I'm not doing this event. Despite the generous goodies, my mind's not on the game as RL is demanding more attention. I appreciate the candy baskets, but please send to those who need them. I'm plowing along on my FS quests and have a few that give nice rewards so I decided to stick to that goal and skip events unless something really grabs my eye. Preferably an event that doesn't need me to send my critters to the barn or trees to another location.

 

I just love this event The Queen is so generous. There is rounds where she gives 50 star points and other goodies.
I do not understand why someone skips this event.

 

Spotbox and Dumbunny, thank you for your good wishes. This morning it was said that it was repaired, but there are still minor problems. I am late now, but I can plant the event plants. Two years ago, it could not be repaired for 12 days, we were really bored. Thank you to everyone and I hope the farmers who participated in the event reach their goals. Good luck.l used 200 regular 50 party ticets and could only earn 6 hours+1harvest,so the wheel was not generous forme.

 

After 24 hrs of playing I have 850 star coins. And lots of farm coins too. The queen is generous with the coins. My highest star coins was 55.

 

Played 25 mini-games and got 905 Star Coins, so yeah it's pretty good! Is it me or the basket for catching things got a tad bit bigger?

Checking things out, the 2 cloud rows offered in the Star Coin Shop are ones from previous editions of the Carnival and they do not require defined givers for them. So newer player can (and should) get them with no problems. The givers in the Star Coin Shop are also from past editions of the Carnival Queen, the last 2 givers (the ones beside the cloud row) are quite decent. I dunno what I'll do with my Star Coins in my Northy farm, any players missing givers to complete their cloud row?

 

How is everyone doing for drops on this event?
I ask because I got two 100% bonuses on the farm wheel, plus I decided to drop some super grow to get more crops while I had such good bonuses. As a result I'm wildly ahead on crops. I'm going to be switching to long crops overnight I think, unless everyone else is finding the drop rate really generous?

 

Drops is okay, not generous. I'm chugging along. Need to tone down the greed for rewards, or I need to play like 100 games. Averaging 31 star coins per game

 

I needed long crops for night and I am going to plant something longer than event plant for the night again. I still have almost 2000 event plants waiting for drops. I use new Peanut butter cups when I harvest baha plants.
I have played 84 games this far.

 

Before this event started, I didn't have a Loris habitat, breadnut tree or wild privet. Together they cost....well, a lot, and there's still such great prizes left. I'm going more for the 100 games approach.

 

I too got 100% from the wheel and I am low on drops. For 24 hrs, I will grow the event crops and then I will grow over night crops for drops. Actually I got 100% into barn and 2 +1 crops. So I activated a 200% into barn buff and +1 crops buff. I made use of comfort fields + supergrows + Suzy's supergrows. Activated white innocence to reduce growth time using supergrow. Therefore I got 83 crops per comfort field. Now getting 81 crops per comfort field. It takes around 4.45 hrs to grow. So no need to harvest every hour or so. And Super grow required is economical when compared to 1x1 plots or normal 2x2 plots. Yield is more. I started the event late. So I had to pick up. This method helped me a lot to compensate for the days lost.

 

The Queen is getting more generous. She gave 65 star coins from one mini-game

 

I agree I got 55 from 1 mini game! Congrats to us!

 

I had 200% for 12 hours so grew crops galore. Waiting on drops which are taking forever. will finish quest and what ever is grown, then back to regular farming.

 

Please can someone explain to me what I do with these drops from the carnival queen







Is it just TEP/EP, and CC or am I missing something?

 

Yeah, it just converts into small amounts of EP etc at the end. I just think of it as filler.

 

Thank you Shimmer, the event FAQ sort of suggests you might be able to do something other than that, perhaps a feature to be added at a later date

 

I have played 76 mini games and have reached my goal of getting the Moufflon, and Loris pens, and the breadnut and wild privet tree!
I am waiting to use the chargers on the "Rhythm n Bananas" giver that goes on the CR. I am very happy, and will now go back to normal farming as I have bought everything I needed! Fun event Good Luck to everyone going to the Carnival!

 

I have played 74 mini games, and have too also purchased the stables I wanted and have returned to normal farming. I loved this edition of Carnival Queen! Lots of goodies thrown from the parade float as well as a nice selection in the shop.
