"Topiary Riddle" Weekend Quests

4 weekend long breeding event that will alternate between Mammals, Arthropods and Birds. No need to fill in all steps to get the cloud row in the end. For those you want to help out other players, there's a second set of givers needed for the cloud row that are rewarded in the last step during the first three weekends. The cloud row is offered on the fourth weekend.

The cloud row requires the givers from the first three weekends only, the Awesome Axolotl is one that's not needed, thus players will only get one copy.

Thanks for starting the thread Northy, much appreciated as always.

I will definitely do as much as I can but PF is pretty short ... maybe I will have to invest in another lot to complete this - if there is a PF sale. Plus I will only breed if there is a Happy Discount Day.

I don't think there is any stipulation on what we donate for each of the second and fourth steps, just mainland animals and breeding animals - unless you got your info from another language Forum, Northy?

 

Oupsies... no no, main land animal it is. I didn't brew my second coffee yet... will do right now!

Well if things weren't already crazy around here, we're heading south middle of next week. So I may not be able to do the second weekend quest. Ugh. So I'm seriously thinking about sitting this entire event out. Have the PF on the 3 usual farms, just not sure if I'll be able to do it - spotty internet on the road and all.

Is it worth it ? I mean, is there a wow prize somewhere I overlooked? Maybe it's just me having too much in real life, but I'm not feeling it.

 

I'm not feeling it either...skipping these weekend Quests!

Up-date- I just completed 1st weekend quest! I bred 85 mammals to get badges and had plenty of PF and well stocked barn!

 

I decided to do this first weekend quest on the three usual farms because of the season points awarded. It was pretty easy to do with what I had in my breeding huts from the last discount day plus one full hut of mammals. So one and done with leftovers. Not refilling the breeding huts.

I noticed that pheromones are selling for way over 600CCs on market #9. Folks, you can buy them all day, every day in the shop for 600CCs - up to 100 at a time. So it just takes a few clicks to save yourself a whole lotta CCs.

 

Thanks, Northy, I took the plunge and decided to work on this...much easier for me as thanks to zilverDolfin, who encouraged me to do so, I've been milling PF like a crazy woman...my mill is smoking

Completed this week's event with a good stock of scorpions and cuckoos for breeding badges...then brain fog must have set in because I accidentally also bred 20 arthropods - and harvested them - all for naught. Sigh, fortunately have enough stock for necessary badges when their turn comes round.

Update Friday, 10 May: Happy to say the 18 arthropods I mistakenly harvested last weekend, carried over to this weekend! Yay

 

Done the first weekend event. I wanted to breed lynx but absentmindedly bred raccoons.

 

Don't forget to pack your breeding house with Arthropods for this weekend breeding event, there's a Discount Day going on for 12 hours only!

Today is Friday, I just finished the "Topiary" weekend quest 2! I did take advantage of the "Discount Day" BUT did not wait for the Baby Boom starting Saturday as I may not be on farm much so needed to get it done! I believe next week end we need to breed birds! Good luck and Happy farming!

Thanks for the reminder! I forgot and had gotten into the habit of waiting to harvest my breeding shed Because I donated to the event quest yesterday for the first level (barn donations), the ! for a new quest reminder was gone so I could have easily missed Baby boom and finishing the quest. I really wish that all the breeding mini events (PF sale, Baby boom, etc) would start at the start of a breeding event. Just makes it hard (for me) to keep track of it all when things are staggered and I don't really know what the purpose would be to do that.

 

We've been lucky to have baby boom, farm-a-coin-palooza & happy discount day for the past few months but it was never like that before... this time around, we have to pay attention to complete this month long event!

I don't do partial delivery to breeding event, that "!" dissapearing has been my nemisis for years! I just wait and do all the breeding event in one cingle row.

SL's farm has completed this weekend's quest. This farm is about to get that crossed off the list. So much to do in RL! Ack!
