I seem to remember long ago we milled the lures. You could mill which ever lure you wanted and when you used the deluxe lure, the fish caught were random, you could get multiple of the same fish, or all different fish...or was it just a dream I had? If it wasn't a dream, I wish we could go back to it because having to wait so long to be able to collect the crates with the lures and then open those crates for random lures, before finally being able to fish just seems like too much work!

I agree with the above. While I do appreciate that the lure boxes are less than 24 hours, which means that if one day you are late, it does not completely throw off the rest of everything, I too preferred the mechanic of producing the lures you want, rather than luck. Also, I enjoy the fishing games and detest having it tied to other games that I might or might not want to participate in. The one good thing is that the incidence of pearls seems to be fairly good, so there is some reward for all the work. Just... this is supposed to be a game, not another job where time management becomes a big factor!

From the time of the first event, I have three clocks to collect every morning. One gives two lures and the other clocks give one lure each. Today, I got one common, one deluxe, and two premium. I am not doing any further events, so my only lures come from collecting the daily crates. I fish each day and so far, got the Piccolo box, then ten pearls last week and collected PF and GB. I again have 12 pearls from fishing over the past two/three days. All things considered, I feel I'm doing well with no extra effort. No idea what determines the type of lure we get and the type of fish caught, but I'm a happy fisherwoman!

After selecting the lure, I click and hold the lure and wait for the green light to appear, then release the mouse. Sometimes I release after it's gone back and forth three or four times. Timing perhaps for the fish, but no idea about the lures.

I still get the 'warm fuzzies' when I see that marlin leap out of the water.
I remember the first time I saw that magnificent beast flash onto the screen.

Ever since Mankind first traced an outline in mud, ever since those early cave-wall coloured sketches,
nothing encapsulates the essence desired, than that epitomized by the Marlin bursting forth onto the screen!
It is, simply, the greatest gaming graphic of-all-time.
