Thanks Nala777, for starting the thread and crunching numbers! I am not quite sure of how to play this game BUT I am sure once I start it will be crystal clear! It IS still very early for me!xD

Thank you, Nala777, for the math!

No drops? I can use things of my inventory? :p What a dream :inlove: xD

Hope everyone enjoys the event and for those who will not do the event, good farming!

Thanks Nala777 for the numbers, I couldn't have made better sense out of the FAQ.... Still don't see why there's only 3 tables (Coffin Games 1-2-3) when there's 4 "Quest" buttons at the bottom of the screen (missing a 4th table with workshop items or normal main crops??!!). The rooms charts with 3 columns should pair with the 3 coffins just ike in the TV show event??!!!

    Good luck everyone!

The artwork is the confusing part...but I suspect that as we progress it will "scroll left" and the other things will be revealed. We'll know more tomorrow when we can access it.

I think I'm going to give this one a go on the three "main" farms. Baby farms will sit it out for all the obvious reasons.

Thanks, Nala, for doing the sums. I made the same figure for crops, quite surprised myself! xD
Back from hols now and all in for this one, for the reasons stated: no milling, one field, no drops. :inlove:
But very little SG and SSG so will have to do this one slowly! :music:
    Good luck all! ;)

Unless you have a good inventory, don't forget to put out some Ladders, Pottery, Shark tooth Necklace & Hair gel. It looks like these items are needed for the quests to get tokens. Im unsure of the quantities though.

So far I dont see any of these items in the quests.. I wonder why they are putting them in the baskets for the coffin games? hmmm

The event FAQ backdrop looks like MM field, but I don't read any mention of MM. Is this on the regular Main field or MM Main field?

I'll participate either way, but would like to have an idea of what overnight crop I plant to be ready for harvest tomorrow morning if it's the regular main field :)

Regarding products like ladders, pottery, etc. a player posted in General Issues Thread asking about them and received this response:

"The 3 quest charts are included in the FAQ and are labeled Coffin Games 1, 2 and 3. These quests require event crops, mainland/tropical fruit, and mainland/tropical animals.

I don't know the reason BP included products in the baskets, but they are not required for the event."

I think this answers my own question regarding which playing field will be used and believe it's the regular main field - not MM.

It is not the first scary looking event taking place in Farm main land. And before we had Moonlight world, main field always turned to MM field, when full moon event started.

That's quite interesting. MM field was in place when I began playing almost three years ago. All long-time players surely have seen many changes in the game! :)

The event looks good. However i have to sit this one out. I have to go to go in the hospital tomorrow and my son will not update the farm for me. I also remember the old MM where the main field turned into the moonlight field and had jack o lantern decorations around the edges. I can even remember when we had to fly to Bahamarama.

Karebear I can remember that too. Also the weed. I am happy that is gone.
For breeding you had to put them on the field. Now it is easier

And some! :music:Not only did MM take up ONE field but we had individual breeding pens so you had to put them out like animals. Looked cute but weren't we all deliriously happy when the Loveshack Motel arrived! Now we can do 132 breedings at the same time on the size of a large plot, in the old version, we could only fit 132 Motels on the whole of the main farm! :wuerg:

I am still working on getting my starter seeds to a healthy number then overnight I will switch to Comfort Fields. I have finished the two non-crop FSQs and done the six "doors" which don't require crops (I think!) so I feel like I'm doing great and just waiting for a hammer to fall! xD
    Good luck all! ;)

My Finnish friend Päärynä and I and my girl-IRL Anki74 started as same year I think and now is the year 12 on-going (or 13?).
Main turned 12y back to MM-Field, thats right and there is also RAIN (newer came back THANKS!!!) en when it´s was raining You have tu use MANURE to avoid loss a plants !

But in this time: Main Field is Main Field, not Moonlaight Main...

Franklinia blossoms are just over 1000 in value so if you have enough in storage, you can use them and breeze through the tree fruit quest.

The animal quest, tried to find the best animal for the amount needed to donate...ugh.

Growing crops for plant quest. I just love watching paint dry.

As for the mechanics of this event - we've done this before. It's confusing, but the game sorts itself out. You need ALL the little squares, and the yellowy-orange squares only come from the plant quest, so now waiting on event crops to go further.

Thank you Nala for the numbers and explanation, I'm a few hours late starting, but I'm going to give it a good go. I nearly fell over when I saw the fruit/animal values, but as dumbunny pointed out, it's not that bad with Franklina blossom, so all calm again :D Crop amount should be do-able in the time even with a late-ish start.
I saw a real Secretary Bird today.... my first time seeing one other than on my farm :)

I used salamanders on my oldest farm. 1375 exchange value.

I used salamanders, cuckoos, and beavers because I have many. I reduced the number of 'needed' salamanders by one, then selected a few of the others to get as close to the exact amount possible.

I have over 15k bristlecone pines and 13k albino redwoods so used them.

Now waiting for crops to grow and maybe get lucky on the wheel :D

I think the numbers of critters/trees may be rather daunting for new players.
