harvest bonus

Can anyone help to explain this bonus for me, I could not find it anywhere i looked and i am curious about it before I choose it. "Bonus slot.category - Diamond Harvest Bonus: +100% Time:24:00 h."

Hi, The Diamond Harvest Bonus gives 100% more (double) of every item when you harvest for 24hrs. It applies to crops, critters, workshops, and trees. I am not good at numbers and hope I am correct with my examples. If you harvest a crop on a 1x1 plot, the crop will give 2 items if you have no other buffs activated. With the 100% harvest bonus, you will receive 4 crops. If an animal stall gives one item when normally harvested, it will give 2 with the bonus. Trees which give 4 fruits when harvested, will give 8.

I try to activate these types of buffs when I first begin daily playing and almost everything is ready to harvest. Then I will check amounts of crops and plant those with short grow periods to quickly restock. I also activate this type of bonus just before harvesting event items. No need to activate when planting, but important to remember to activate before harvest! Hope this helps.

 

You can make it last longer than 24h using Pinkest pie.

 

I would like to suggest that this is a special bonus and best used when you are harvesting animals, products (from workshops) and trees. It will still work on crops, but use CAC for crops as they are more readily available.

 

I agree CAC is the same +2 for crops when you use 1x1 plots, but for crop events that have very high requirements, such as the Detective series or the Hidden Object scenes where we have to play 200 games (approximately), I find using the Diamond slot % bonuses to be very helpful when using Comfort fields.

Here comes the fun part....math

To compare the same amount of space:

4 1x1 plots with a 100% bonus will harvest 16 plants ( minus 4 seeds to sew makes net yield 12)
1 Comfort field with 100% bonus will harvest 30 plants (minus 3 seeds to sew makes net yield 27)

There are more factors to consider but this is a simple example of when I have used them for crops.

The harvest yield only continues to increase if you use a 200% diamond bonus paired with a 100% plant bonus in the gold slot. And yes, a Pinkest Pie always is added to extend the 24 hours to 31.2 hours

Not to be too picky, but one lot of 24 hours extends to 31.2 hours or 31 hours and 12 minutes...

OK, something is missing here. Personally I never use comfort fields for events but if I am wrong then there is always time to start using them. My issue is production time, regular field - 1 time, comfort field - 4 times. So for example it takes 6 hr to produce 12 globe berry plants on regular field and 24 hr to produce 27 plants on comfort field (taking in account puppiesnponies example from above). Is there anything else you guys use to make comfort fields worth using?
