This game is too complicated. I literally cannot figure out how to get a candle. I have completed two of each minigame and still do not have a candle. I do not have enough coins to buy a candle. I have played Farmerama for a decade and it just continues to get less user friendly. This game is a giant mess and whenever I return it reminds me why I left.

What I find most disturbing about this event is that I have to grow 24600 longer-than-usual crops, but I cannot donate Any of them until I get a whole lot more ducks (candles) in a row! For those less experienced or less confident, that is a big ask! They will be wondering if they will get to that stage of donating crops. I don't usually mind events that lead into one another, but this has the cart-before-the-horse.

Originally, I also thought it was quite complicated, but Northy's chart under game Strategy helped clear up most of my confusion. After trying a few times and referring to the chart, it is now clear and I'm just taking a very relaxed attitude.

My thoughts for the length of the event is that it takes into consideration that many players will be involved in end-of-year holidays and not have much time for the game. The gift of Time! Another plus for me - no milled product!

I also appreciate some (new to me, at least) features of the event such as the red circle on the Main field that alerts us when it's time to collect the two items.

The puzzle game is well designed and I've been setting the pieces in place as I collect the cookies. Six pieces at a time does not take a lot of time to place. The ability to rotate them and have the rotate symbol go away when the piece is correctly placed is a great feature!

The yarn game is still slow going and I gave up trying to 'beat the clock'. Slowly getting the gist of it.

I've no idea if I will be able to complete the event and don't really care. My motto for the new year is to first think of what I like about anything. I find it's quite easy to react to what's annoying which doesn't help me or anyone. I can't control what others do, but I can control what I do. Just some end-of-year musings I'm having as we count down to the beginning of a new year!

My third New Year with Farmerama and I'm grateful for all the help from friends and everyone involved with the production of this game.

Yes, the red exclamation points are a godsend! I hope they keep that with other events that have timers.

I think this event is the most boring game EVER that Farmerama has given us. WEEKS to get through this - I finished the Stocking one the same day and now I have to twiddle my thumbs waiting for 6 pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, then wait for the next 6 pieces so I can get a candle. I am hoping that my lack of patience will not win out on me just letting it go. Maybe if you didn't tie one game to the next game it would be better. I don't know - I just know that I DO NOT like this event. This is not your best event at all. I set the timer in my phone to make sure I don't miss one of the one a day yule yarn - I also set the 4 hour one in my phone. PLEASE do not do this again.

yes, definitely a pain in the neck event....it's long but you still have to check every 4 hrs for the blasted puzzle pieces...should have just let us increase our barns/stables/products this time of year....I wasn't going to do this one....should've listened to my gut...anyhow, I love this game and will continue with the event and Merry Christmas everyone! :)

It took me a while to understand this last "set" of events, but when i did i was surprised in the most positive way. The player can do

the way he chooses, without worries about plants and drops playing only the jigsaw, for example. Yes, we do have to wait to collect,

but the really important thing is its accessibility. Even a new player, without any resources, can complete succesfully one out of the four events and win a piccolo besides other prizes.

So, many thanks to developers, moderators and all the people involved. I'm going for the whole thing, but even i can't finish i'm already
    having a lot of fun.

Thanks a lot for all the other gifts too.

Have you all a merry Christmas and a great 2025!

    Cons:
    • This is such a convoluted event. The FAQ was far too overwhelming and I was reliant on the player-developed strategy thread to make heads or tails of it - I would say "it shouldn't take a post-grad degree to understand the event description" but I do have a post-grad degree and I still couldn't figure it out. In the end it's a fairly simple concept but there are just so many components to it. There are so many different things we need to do and keep on top of in order to participate, and that just doesn't align with how busy and chaotic this time of year is for so many people
    • There are unnecessary steps. Every crate o' ornaments gives 1 ornament. Every crate o' bowls of cookies gives 6 bowls of cookies. Why do we need to go through the process of collecting a crate and opening the crate when we're getting the same thing every time? Why not just give us our 1 ornament and 6 bowls of cookies at the point of collection? You've just added an extra step and I don't understand why.
    • Actual participation in this event was so delayed. Days and days were spent filling the barn with holly that couldn't be used because we were waiting on candles that we could only get via time-restrictive mini games. Why was that first part of the event so slow? Why were we effectively prevented from proceeding through the event for so long? It just doesn't make sense, and I wouldn't blame farmers for getting bored and giving up during that waiting process.
    Pros:
    • The game graphics are beautiful. Every aspect of the event is beautiful - the puzzles, the tree, the crops and drops - stunning. I am a quest player (and also just like to live my life outside of the game), so I don't participate in many of the events across the year - I only do the ones that have a separate field, don't require me to grow anything, or only require what items I already have in my barn (though my stores are very low). The only events I participate in fully, no questions asked, are the Christmas events each year - they genuinely add to my festive spirit, in large part because of how visually stunning they are every time.
    • The length of the event. At first I thought it was absolutely ludicrous, until I realised that the donation numbers relative to the length of the event are incredibly generous and mean that it is actually a super easy event to complete. One of my core complaints in past years has been that events - which often go down to the wire for players such as myself who don't purchase anything with RL money - don't take into consideration the fact that they're occurring at a hectic time of year where people are busy in the lead up to Christmas, and often can't/won't log in at all on Christmas Eve/Day. This event however seems to have taken that and more into account and been so generous with how long we get to complete it. Thank you!
    • The prizes. I know that there are always some who don't feel the prizes are worth it - and, granted, I do turn my nose up a little at prizes like SSG which take hours/days to earn but could be won quite easily on the wheel/in a crate - but the bigger prizes are so wonderful. I love to see the number of Piccolo boxes up for grabs, the generous EP offerings, PF, amazing givers, the chance to win a genuinely useful pet - thank you so much. I completed the Stocking Stuffer - now, I did have to spend nearly 600 million CCs on the market to complete the product and breeding animals parts (ouch) - but the prizes were great and made it worth it for me (others may disagree, and that's fine!)
    • The reminder to collect items. It is so helpful having that little notification saying that something is ready to be collected. If we're being pedantic, it could be more obvious - it would still be easy for some to miss it - but it is just so helpful having that there. Between the many different things we need to do in this event, and the many different things happening on the farm in general, and the many different things happening in our real lives outside of the game, it is so easy for things like collection times to slip the mind - and to be honest it feels so silly needing to set a timer for a game that I've never actually done it, on principle - so this is very helpful

I have to say I am enjoying this event, there is something for everyone. If you don't want to grow tons of crops and collect drops, there are three mini-games which can be played for themselves or, if you opt for the crop/drop part, help towards the main event. For those who have a very busy schedule at this time, there are three weeks to complete as much or little as you want, for those who have a quieter time and wish for something to do, again, this works for those too. The eight hour crop means that farmers don't need to be tied to their computer and also should bring more drops. :music:

I didn't really go overboard to finish early but maybe used a little SG to get a third daily harvest out of my crops on some days. The drops seemed to be enough to finish at more or less the same time as the crops. I have only the two mini-games requiring the timed crates to collect to finish and I will be done - so it gives me something to do till the next event comes along! :)

I think that the Devs have worked out a "cover all" for this event and have only added other mini-events that didn't need too much effort.:p

Thank you for enabling all farmers to do the event, or not as they chose. The graphics, it goes without saying, are gorgeous and the prizes worth the effort, in my opinion. :inlove:

i think the yule yarn is to much, get stuck on that and you just stay in same place. Im not enjoying it. But got to say the prizes are good

I have really enjoyed this one. It seemed overwhelming at first, because there was a LOT going on. But in reality it was a nice one that you could play at your own pace.

Are you using the solutions posted by miekje9 in the strategy thread? I jot them down on a notepad which I refer to while working on the puzzle. I might not get them all done in the time given, but I do solve each one thanks to her tips. I hope you can find a way to get past #6. Wishing you good luck with the solutions.

I agree with the majority of posts above, the relaxed pace was lovely, the prizes are more than generous, and there are options for all sorts of different playing styles. Yes, it is tedious only getting one ornament box per day, and yes, the puzzle piece collection can be a little onerous - but I looked at the ornament boxes as a sort of Advent calendar, and the cookie boxes are designed so a player can miss a LOT of collection without detriment! I think, sometime, some people forget that this is a GAME. I am glad to see BP and the developers seem to be understanding this more lately. While I would not like this sort of drawn-out-on-purpose very often, it is perfect for the busy holiday season, and I wouldn't mind more events with a longer base time, so that if we choose to finish early, we can then work on stocking our farms.

Edit to add, having completed everything while playing at a very leisurely pace: There was plenty of time to get everything done, if it was a bit overlong. but that is good, for the many people traveling who would otherwise have had to forego the entire event because of missed days. I considered suggesting that the duration be the same, but start earlier, to end with New Year's, but that would have put a lot of people scrambling to catch up right when things get busiest, so I think it was a solid choice all round. The giver that gives ornament boxes was, however, a lifesaver, as could have been the puzzle piece giver had my life been busier. All in all, well done, for this time of year!

This is pick and choose event to suit all playing styles. I only wish that those excellent Jigsaw puzzles went on for ever.

Thank you to BP and the team for a fun event during a very busy time of year! One you could pick and choose what if any mini game you wanted to do! When you are done then you can go back to regular framing...brilliant! I also love the puzzle type mini game over the "Timed" yule yarn! If it needs to be timed give us more time to do it! :p:music: Loved the chance to get a jumbo tree and I love pet eggs. Happy New year to all!:inlove:

The graphics are great and I liked that we got to do 3 different game areas. I love the puzzles, as I have with past events featuring puzzles - and I look forward to more in future events. The yule game was good except for if you get stuck, there is no way to start over without exiting completely out since only a limited amount of moves could be undone. I also don't like that it's timed, but that's just my opinion. The red exclamation point was excellent so that we could easily see when to click on the timed boxes. I hope this is implemented in future events where timed boxes are used. Not being able to get star coins the second time around of playing the yule game is not good. The prizes were great except, as per usual, my wonder trees never turn into the new ones I need. But rarely does that happen for me anyway. Overall, I enjoyed the event, but not sure I'd want a repeat of this exact one.

This was a fun event and sooo relaxing! It was the right time to slow things down over the Holidays! Graphics were amazing (thank you to the art department/design team!). Nothing bad to say about this event except maybe that instead of us having to "fail" a mini game in the Yule Yarn to get the 15 Star Coins consolation prize, why not just let us replay some mini games and get those 15 Star Coins after we get the 25 Star coins for finishing up the first time. The ornements were lovely to watch. Thank you for all the effort and making this event both striking looking and fun to play! :D

I liked the event. I know it was a lot but it was doable and not too frantic. I especially appreciate the little ! exclamation point that reminded me to open a puzzle box or the yarn thing. I don't recall seeing that feature before but it was very useful and appreciated.

The solutions posted by miekje9 - priceless stuff !

Read it, do it, do some "wrong games and mistakes" (to get lots of extra star coins), to trust oneself at WIN last game - more exciting than Christmas in 40 years (I´m 51y)

I like this - finally, when you read ahead why so.

    p.s.
what drops, low drop rate - SMILE - you are on hidden camera - I have just now 3766 left-over-drops.

First boring to do 25000 crops to wait anything else --> so "only" 9 / 10 from me !
