Yes you are right, you can get more Star Coins (SC) by failing to complete a mini-game. but you have to take into acount that to play that mini-game you'll need a box of ornements and they can be solely be obtained with the 23h time tile and the charged giver only. That limits the amount of times you can play the mini-game.

We only need to play 105 puzzle pieces to get both Flameless Candles, we get the first one after playing the 48th pieces and the second one after playing the 105th piece.

I think there's a reason this event is called WAITING for Santa. It's the waiting, er, PATIENCE part that I'm not good with.

Just keep growing the event crop and harvesting those crates in the corner...

I actually set a timer for 4 hours on either my phone or my computer to remember to harvest the 4 hour one.

I also often set a timer on my phone during the day :)
I noticed this event, there's a red circle with an ! on the playing field as an additional visual reminder it's time to collect - really like that feature!

For those that might not have seen it yet, but in the technical issue channel, there is a thread to report your user ID to get the prior donated items credited to this event. There was some bug that prevents us from seeing what we have donated, but they ARE still in our logs.

    Thanks for the clarification Nordais.
So, I calculated and shared how many Star Coins (SC) you can get during the promotional period.
Timer 23:00 if you collect daily from 19th of December 2024 - 8th of January 2025 (although I skipped and started on the 20th so I'll get less) we'll get 21 Crate O' Ornament Boxes, and with Colorful Chaos (+)
    which temporarily
    Gives: 20000 EP / TEP, 5 x Super-grow (during event it rewards 1 x Ornament Box instead of Super-grow)
Time: 20 hoursa and Colorful Chaos (+) is a limited Charge item. It has 24 charges only.
It can be obtained by completing 180 puzzles, for this you need 30 Bowls of Cookies (6x Bowl of Cookies can be obtained from Bowls of Cookies with a timer Cooldown time: 4 hours).
    So 30*4/24= 5 days.
If you start from the 19th + 5 days, it turns out that you can get Colorful Chaos (+) no earlier than the 24th.
Now counting from the 24th, an average of 1 x Ornament Box per day, i.e. another 16 Crate O' Ornament Boxes.
    So, the final calculations:
    Fully completing 21 mini-games 525 Star Coins.
Additional games (does not complete the mini-game to receive compensation of 15 SC) 16 mini-games 240 Star Coins.
You can earn a total of 765 Star Coins.

In total, you can get an additional 250 Star Coins and 625 Star Coins for buying 5 x Santa's Pack I and 5 x Santa's Pack II respectively (but it will cost 365 (69 for 1 x Santa's Pack I) BB and 645 (129 for 1 x Santa's ) BB. i.e. another 875 Star Coins for 1010 BB. (This is probably for VIPs).

The most important thing to remember is to completely finish the first 13 mini-games from the Yule Yarn to get the 2 givers needed for the cloud row, after that it's up to players to decide if they want to go for more SC! ;)

I'm opting for the Grouch Egg for sure, it's quite a good giver to have on your pet playground and I also have a XL Super Turbo Tree sitting in my inventory that's waiting for a base tree... There's also the 2 Neon Light Bulb that can be of use in the future for crafting Neon Produce Pens. Sooo many good prizes in the Star Coins Shop this time around! :inlove:

I'm poking along with this and have a question. Alas, despite Northy's very helpful charts, I'm still slow on the uptake. Granted, I am busy with RL so my mind is not completely focused on the game. Could someone please let me know if my assumption is correct.

Under each yarn game there's a circle and a star. When I click on each level circle, it shows the rewards....it looks like we don't get the 'real' rewards unless we complete the game on time. The only way to extend the time is to get drops from trees. All my fields are filled with crops, so I think I need to plant some trees for the drops as my on-time completion rate so far is 2 out of 5 games. Can someone please suggest the best trees to plant and how many? Thanks :)

The time extender that is used by the Yule Yarn mini-game is a drop from main Field and Green Meadow only. You could fill your Green Meadow with long time trees like birch, Goat willow and Dappled trees without their upgrades. Same for any other base tree. You can nuke them with turbo mulch to try to harvest them twice a day. I suppose if you put Super Trees down they'll reward you a timer for sure, but the drop rate of them could be set to abismal for all I know (I too have only crops going on the Main land and Green Meadow).

You'll only win the prize of each mini-game by completing it before the timer runs out. You'll aslo receive 25 Star Coins for your hard work. Else, it's 15 Star Coins nd start over.

Those drops are really hard to get. This far I have just one and it is from arboretum of 8 XXL egg trees, the only shorter one I have on field. The longer ones has not given any yet. I would not promise drops from every Jumbo tree, I have tried that in previous events. I'll probably fill my Green meadow with tree later, this far yarn game has been easy, but later those drops will be needed.

Did a full tree field on the Green Meadow overnight with XXL Cherries & Walnuts (running low on those) and I got 3 Timers. I harvested all bunch of cloud rows with drop rate booster, so it's not that great but enough to get me by with the later level Yule Yarn mi-games.

I don't generally use the time-extenders in those games, but I have a few for the end, just a case. Often, I find that I can't go "back" far enough with 5 "undos" so I just have to start over - of course, with this version of the mini-game, that may be quite impossible.

I have not changed my tree strategy and have trees around the perimeter with the XXL upgrades, if I have them for both Main and Green Meadow areas. I currently have 6 tree timers. I figured they might just come along and am pleasantly surprised when I see them.

With only 21 games over a 3 week event, I wouldn't think the drop rate for those tree timers would be very high as they are just not needed. The early games have been easy so far. I have 3 from 15 trees on the Green Meadow. They were wonder trees needed for a quest.

@MeadowCrossing- just like event crops, time is the factor for drops so use your longest timed trees or you can use XXL upgrades to harvest more frequently. Whatever suits your playing time.

Hey, One-Two, how are you? ;)

Of course you can start this event - it will run for another two weeks and even if you don't finish the main event, you can pick up some prizes along the way and the two mini-games are fun too. :music:
Merry Christmas to all and a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year for everyone! :inlove:
