Game Team has confirmed you do not have to refresh or relogin for crop bonus to be booked. Your plots tooltip may not show the correct amount unless you refresh, but upon harvesting you will receive the correct number of crops.

 

I logged in during a 'happy-hour' but my crops didn't mature until after that hour had finished. As I then harvested, it showed that I was getting 7 crops (for a 2x2) but in fact, only 5 was booked. Oh well, I will be ready an hour early for the next happy-hour and it is worth waiting.

The spacing of the three happy hours is biased to suit the Northern Hemisphere European time zones and snubs us from being by the dateline. 'down-under'
Why weren't there four happy hours so we could have an evening one? It sucks to be South Pacific!

Edit: Well, I got that All Wrong. Time zones are Not to do with Northern/Southern Hemispheres But are about Longitude! So, what I am really grizzling about is New Zealand being diametrically opposite GMT. At the moment NZ is twelve hours ahead of CET and in the next fortnight that will reduce to 11 when CEST is introduced and then to 10 hours when our daylight saving ends!

And if you can follow all that, we are heading into tomorrow while some of you are still in yesterday!​

 

I don't get it. I'm stuck at missions 2/28 that says place 10 big eyes. .But the game won't let me do anything at all, nothing that I click does anything.

 

For the sake of that:

thanks TrueLife, the first correction was made just now and the TIMES when that 2 minutes of waiting for 4 hours will be full are:

01:27 CET
05:25 CET
09:23 CET
13:21 CET
17:19 CET
21:17 CET
01:17 CET

So each time falls outside those BONUS+2 times, unless I wait... Crops in the fields for almost 4 hours.

Which is more economical, to cultivate without waiting or to wait, thanks to the change in field sizes AT LEAST TWICE before I could:
Plant 1 - small plots to hit
Plant 2 - small plots to hit
Plant 3 - small plots to hit

for those times when I would get a bonus, SUDDENLY WITH A FEELING - it would be NOT WORTH WAITING...

If the required minimum number of plants is full without waiting. But will it come?

Aim to be ready to harvest during afternoon and evening happy hours, you will not need wait much, if you plan well. All plants have same growing time, so you can mix them. You cannot be sure in advance what plants you'll need and how many. I will mill some of everything and play mini-games as soon as I can. I had a lot of prizes from first free game.

 

You need to mill Scuba Tanks and use one to be able to play 1 line in the mini game (this is written in the FAQ). I don't think you have to do the 28 objectives one after the other in order, they're bonus prizes you should get when you complete them while playing.

 

Right. I have a plan. Just harvested at the beginning of the happy hour. It is twelve hours until the next one. So, big fields for this plant to save on manure (and water). Same in four hours. Then in another four hours, do 1x1 to maximize the returns on the midnight happy hour! Phew. Now set alarm...

 

Is there a "fields +1 plants" which is a LOGIN BONUS on day 21, marked / affected by those plants in the Event area!?

 

I don't believe it affects the event field.

 

No, no bonus affect the event field besides the +2 Happy Plants bonus for the event.

 

Will you get enough drops this way?

Edit: I can benefit from the 12.00 and 5.00 Happy hours so I am not using and wasting my manure, I am selling it. I could do without the water too but I like a little wiggle room just in case!

Just hover your mouse over the different round circles in the 28 Mission window, each will detail what's needed to complete them (if you don't want to always refer to the table in the FAQ).

 

I did it! I managed to use both of these with some precise timing (and one harvest in between). Now to explain.

Plantings with water and manure take 3 hours 58mins. Harvesting at 17.01CET. Replant. Next harvest at 20.59.
Replant. The next harvest at 00.58 just sneaks in to the last minutes of the second happy hour!

I reckon I had about 20 seconds left!

 

I have felt for ages, although unscientifically, that 2x2 s more than make up for drops over 1x1 s but it is a bit of a guess. My drop rate is good so far, so fingers crossed!

 

I did this too. It is very close and I'm not sure I could do it each day of the event but it does help get in another round of drops

 

Got a late start (decided to try and see how far I can get)

Curious how many drops everyone's getting. I have all 1x1 and average 24 drops/harvest.

 

I have all 1x1s and have gotten 17-26 drops per harvest.

 

I just 39 drops from one harvest, not bad.
