This is getting boring. I am farming on big plots now, while I only need lines to get cloud row and other goodies. So I harvest those fields when they happen to be ready when I am at farm and I do not care about happy hours.
Perhaps there are decos and cloud rows, which affect on drop rate also on event area.

 

Am I being stupid here?
How does one get "Create a line of 10 tiles" (and respectively 15, 25 etc.)

I have looked at the screen shots here, but I can't get these rewards in the game....
Any help would be appreciated.

These quests are quite complicated until you actually do them. They all accumulate, so you do the 10 lines (just join up 10 of the same animal). Next go, join another 5 lines and you will complete the quest needing15 lines and so on.

You don't have to complete any quest in any one go ... for each quest, you will see the number of lines you have achieved on each of them 10, 15, 25, etc: all these quests will all show the same number until you have reached the first number of lines required.
Hope this makes sense.

 

You just need to link 10/15/25 tiles together without closing them into a shape. A 10 tile line will give you 100 points (150 points for the 15 tile line, etc).

 

I have tried that without success! :-(

 

Did you connect exactly ten of the same critter - no rainbow ducks? All Krabby or Manta or Big Eye fish?

I have calculated that it is still worth milling (they are quick!)
for the 'cash-in' ep and cc's at the end.
I pride myself in having zero in stock of whatever is planted to reap the extra 5 granted every five hours or so.
If I have say, 105, I will make rainbow ducks or if is a multiple of 20, I will make the others.
Clear as mud?!!

I've waited to decide what compensation I want. It's not all equal. My math skills are abysmal and I've not tried to calculate which is the better option...CCs or EP + fewer coins


What will happen with the leftover event goods?
All the leftover goods will be exchanged after the event:
1 Bottle Bamboo = 4 EP + 5 CC;
1 Sea Anemone = 4 EP + 5 CC;
1 Red Coral = 4 EP + 5 CC;
1 Diving Goggles = 15 EP + 20 CC;
1 Pink Bigeye = 180 CC;
1 Manta Ray = 180 CC;
1 Krabby = 180 CC;
1 Rainbow Duck = 471 CC;
1 Scuba Tank = 538 CC.

75/80 as of this morning's harvest. I will finish the event by end of day

 

Hi, pups, congratulations! As much as I've enjoyed learning lots during this event, my old grey cells shall be happy to put it to rest. Like you, hope to finish by end of day. We're predicted to get heavy rain (over 5") so hope no power outages. As long as there's no errant wind accompanying the rain, hopefully all will be well. Ground's been wet for months and yardwork folks are having a hard time keeping up.

 

From that table of exchange rates, each event crop has the same value as well as the three critters.

Players need 40 event crops to mill 1 critter:

40 event crops = 160 EP + 200 CC
the exchange rate for 1 critter = 180 CC

so not worth the effort milling extra critters

105 event crops are needed to mill one Rainbow Duck:

105 event crops = 420 EP + 525 CC
the exchange rate of 1 Rainbow Duck: 471

so not worth the effort milling extra Rainbow Ducks

1 Scuba Tank asks for 13 Diving Goggles:

13 Diving Goggles = 195 EP + 260 CC
1 Scuba Tank = 538 CC

if you're in the mood to sacrifice EP, milling more Scuba Tanks is the way to go!

Update: Well done and done. Glad to see others are also wrapping it up.

I noticed that once I completed the 28 tasks, and was only working on the final 80 'lines', that the critters all lined themselves up in lovely lines and circles with no help at all from me! Interesting that did not happen while I still had tasks to complete

 

I am done (80+ lines) on this farm and SL's. The baby farms aren't going to get the CR, so calling it quits as of this morning on them, too. There's a lot going on this weekend, so won't have a lot of time for farming.

 

At last, i finished the event

Because of the limitations of the playfield and the low drop rate (they made it better since yesterday), it was a relief more than anything Wouldn't be sad if the gave that field a long (if not eternal) rest
