Another event on the Event playfield!

This time around, there's two different event crops that can only be grown on specific areas of the event field, so be careful!

Event crop 1:Event crop 2:Event drop:
    Pink Magnolia
    [IMG]
Time: 5 hours and 30 minutes
    Gives (2x2): 220 EP
Plantable on the Event playfield only!
    Feathered Fern
    [IMG]
Time: 5 hours and 30 minutes
    Gives (2x2): 220 EP
Plantable on the Event playfield only!
    Busy Bee
    [IMG]
    You will get these drops
    when harvesting your
    crops and trees
    on
    the Magical Glade only.
The event playfield will be composed of four different areas. The first area will already be opened with 5 Pink Magnolias ready for harvest. The three other areas can be opened with the Busy Bee drop.

    Area:Plantable event crop:Requirement to open:Area size:
    1Pink Magnolia37 1x1 plots
    2Pink Magnolia80 Busy Bees27 1x1 plots
    3Feathered Fern120 Busy Bees32 1x1 plots
    4Feathered Fern160 Busy Bees31 1x1 plots
Make sure to sow long time crops on Thurdays to get as much Busy Bee drops from the Magical Glade. 360 Busy Bee drops are needed to open all areas.

    Cloud row + 3 givers:Complete event:
    950 Pink Magnolias
    670 Feathered Fern
    1550 Pink Magnolias
    770 Fethered Fern
The first event crop to go for is clearly the Pink Magnolia, make sure to open its second area as soon as possible!

Completing the event will reward a 1x1 giver that's quite good:

    Bee Alarm
    [IMG]
Gives: 800 EP x Farm level or 800 TEP x Baha level
    Time: 12 hours
    Size: 1x1
placeable on the 3 main and 3 tropical lands, park, the lighthouse, sunflower hill, shipwreck bay, castaway coast, cloudrow

    Good luck everyone!

Well the good news is that we can "mostly" continue to farm as normal. The bad news is that we have 6 days for this event field event.

CR has a really short cool down, too.

I have to go refresh my memory for where to put the stables for this last weekend quest. Brain is now in sewing mode and I have to set alarms to remember to poke farms.

Thank you, Nordais, for doing the sums for us. ;)

I was going to do this one but the drops will now only come from the Magical Glade and I have just rearranged my Glade with Jumbo trees and animals so I will give this a miss - unless the drops are super good from jumbo trees. :music:
Good luck all going for it! :)

With the new change to this event, stables on Main field & Green Meadow, crops & trees on Magical Glade for drops.

Thanks, Northy, great FAQ and thanks for reminders for what to plant/set out where and when! Phew, busy bees, we shall be the rest of week and weekend! I think I have my farms sorted out and also need to remember to move the Howies from field to field for the drops!

I'll send Wednesday's gifts Thursday morning after the event begins...good luck everyone :)

Does anyone know if Jumbo animals and trees give drops?

Also, any particular buff to increase drop numbers?

Jumbo trees give drops, but the 19hr 35 mins (with turbo mulch) on a 2x2 means that they are too slow. A better option would be amaranth on 1x1s giving a good chance of four drops, where a jumbo tree would only yield one.

Trees never have the upper hand on crops, usually. Switching to just the Magical Glade will mean less drops (at first it was the other two fields for drops), so I hope that the drop rate has been fixed! The most important is to open that second area for the Pink Magnolia because it's the event crop that's most needed.

I always find that the more crops a plot gives, the better chance for a drop. So if you have cloud rows that boosts flowers or veggies that you activate in the morning, I'd use them on those specific family of crops.

My magical glades have all sorts of stuff on them. I'm going to have to redo them. Need to move the menageries to the main field. Ugh.

I can get back Super Grow by putting my Super and Suzy Trees back in Magical Glade left stables in Main Field and Green Meadow for Weekend Quest Shopping Spree of Coin Purses ;):p

Could someone please confirm whether or not we need more bees after all event fields are open? I re-read the FAQs twice and reviewed what's needed for each level reward, and think bees won't be necessary. I'll likely have all fields open after my next harvest and then it's just the long haul waiting for crops to grow...but, I don't like to assume things at my age...have been wrong a few times xD

Before the event, I prepared the Glade with amaranth and long grow trees, then chopped down all trees after the first harvest this morning:cry: and put down 1x1 and planted Moroccan Mint (for the nice EP amount), doused it with water/manure/SG and the bees went crazy with subsequent harvest. Repeated and waiting, then like Mooboy, after the next harvest, think I can put trees and critters back again. Is this correct?

I'm pretty sure that once we get those 4 plots open, we're done needing bees.

@MeadowCrossing you only need 360 Busy Bees to open all areas.
(As @Nordais wrote in his strategy post:
Magical Glade. 360 Busy Bee drops are needed to open all areas.)

That's what I thought (hoped), but since Magic Trees are giving bees throughout the event, wanted to be sure there would not be any surprises ;)

    Another question:

I went to the event field and noticed that when I click on the Builder option and the crate I have options to place a critter: the 2x2 giver Paradise Comics...Says it gives items needed for the event, but those things are a cape and pixels...Glitch?
Is anyone else seeing this? Out of curiosity, I set it on the fern field just to see what happens :D

Since I couldn't wash the entire Magical Glade, my drops were out of place. I can open the entire activity area today. The farm seems to be very busy these days. Good luck to all farmers.
