Easterween

A new Easter event mixed with Moonlight Mania that's running for 13 days! It's based on the 3 level (Library, Workshop and Secret Lair) that either requires event crop or event drops to advance one tile at the time.

This event requires players to have MM stalls and workshops (trees are optional) out on any of the 2 fields (Moonlight fields & Mushroom Forest). This can be a limiting factor for newer players who do not have MM stalls and workshops

There will also be timed reward tiles for Star Coins (needed to get cloud row + givers + extra goodies) and Plasma Globes (needed to play the mini game of potion mixing).

Beaker Root Time: 5 hours and 30 minutes Gives (2x2): 220 EP plantable on the Fullmoon field and Mushroom Forest only!	Microscope You will get these drops while harvesting trees on the Fullmoon field and Mushroom Forest only! You will receive 1 x Microscope with each breeding process completed.	Alien Cell You will get these drops while harvesting your stables and workshops on the Fullmoon field and Mushroom Forest only!	Alien Egg Ingredients: 2 x Microscopes + 2 x Alien Cells Time: 30 seconds It can be produced in the main and tropical mills - Events feed tab! These reduce the time of the auto-production tiles by 10%. A maximum of 5 can be applied each time.

The most important thing is to aim at getting Lenny's Keycard to open the next level as soon as possible. Then activating the timed reward tiles is a must.

Library Players start on tile 16 with 1 Lenny's Keycard booked at the beginning of the event

There's also some prizes to be won playing the mini game by mixing 3 different potions together. Each mini game requires 1 Plasma Globe that are gained by the corresponding timed reward tiles on the three different level. To get all the prizes, 120 Plasma Globes are need (ie playing 120 mini games).

1850 Star Coins are needed to buy the cloud row and its 5 givers. There's a possibility to buy a second set of givers too for another 1250 Star Coins. The 5 givers can be placed on the Haunted Manor giver park in the Moonlight Mania screen and they're some of the greatest EP givers yet.

This time around, the milling item Alien Egg help reduced the cooldown time of reward tiles
by 10% and a maximum of 5 Alien Eggs can be applied to one specific tile. This should be considered for the Star Coins reward tiles which have a cooldown time of 20h.

EDIT 1:

The microscope drop will come from trees only with a medium chance from breeding.

EDIT 2:

Numbers have been revised, drops needed for both floors have been lowered, drop rate from breeding is now 1 drop per breending. The amount of drops needed to mill the Alien Egg have been lowered too.

EDIT 3:

Each Sequence in the mini games lets player make 3 mixes out of the 6, after 3 tries, the sequence changes and 3 new potions available for mixing appear. After each mix is made, players will get 10 Star Coins, so 30 Star Coins on Sequence 1. In Sequence 2, each mix will award 15 Star Coins each, Sequence 3 will reward 20 Star Coins for each mix, etc...

I'm in. On this farm and sewinglady's. The rest are just going to use the nearly 2 weeks of MM to gather a few crops and such.

Am I right that it isn't necessary to have any workshops out so long as we do have stables out? I pulled up all the workshops from my MM fields ages ago, but I have some stables out (at least one of each, multiples of the ones we can breed). Hoping that will be enough.

I think we need to get through the maze(s) as fast as we can to get to those repeat tiles that give the star coins.

Right now, that's all I know for sure. Anyone want to start a betting pool on what my husband says when I tell him I'll be getting up in the middle of the night to harvest MM fields?

 

Workshops can be optional, but putting down the manufactories and menageries in MM could mean more drops by using the same space as just one stall/workshop. With limited space and options to crafts MM stalls and workshop, I think it's best to concentrate on opening the Workshop and the Secret Lair as soon as possible, the super high amount of event crops needed will make accessing the timed reward tiles in the Library level difficult. At least, that's what I think. Getting those 5291 Beaker Roots is the top most priority to get that first Lenny's Keycard and access the Workshop level which only requires drops from crops and trees (with a little bit of luck, we'll have enough of the microscope drops to get the second Lenny's Keycard and open the Secret Lair too)! I'm guessing that we'll be able to finish the Workshop level first.

I have my MM menageries out and full on both farms. This farm lacks a lot of the workshops (on all the fields) so I'll make do with what I have. I have lots of trees out on both fields.

Okay, with the microscopes ONLY dropping from trees and medium chance/breeding: here's my plan. #1 - if you're buying a basket that increases drop rate (the two more expensive ones do) - be sure to purchase it BEFORE you harvest your MM fields. #2 - I chose to NOT harvest cloud rows and givers today and am waiting until tomorrow to maximize drop rates. If you have one, remember to use the drop rat (drop item bonus - uses a gold slot) because we cannot put Howies on MM fields. Also, the BEST chance for drops is from your grave candle cacti, and if you have any time shorteners for trees, you want those buffs active BEFORE you harvest those trees - then after you harvest apply tree mulch and hopefully you'll get a second harvest before the end of MM.

Also, magic trees ARE awarding microscopes during this event!

I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something else in that list, but basically, make sure you've made the coffee and poured yourself a mugful BEFORE you start farming (that is mostly a note to myself).

Edit: I remembered! There's a sale on today and part of tomorrow: Mega Harvest Pack. I don't normally splurge for this, but it does come with a +2 on crops for 24 hours. So if you spend real money on this game, it's an option.

 

Wow, Northy, amazing how you put all this together. I will cheer on everyone as RL continues to keep me busy at least for the next several weeks. I shall just stock up on items needed for quests and remember to put down the new MM reward as well as an Eerie Wonder tree. Good luck everyone!

I have enough microscopes to get the second Lenny's Keycard, I had put out 30 Eerie Wonder Trees out, 20 grave cacti plus my "normal" amout of the other trees. I have 24 alien cells too, I have both menageries and manufactories out with just a few stall out too to generate drops and also have some of the newest MM critters.

Don't forget to put out your Neon Dark firefly upgrade (I did so now I have to wait to put it out)!

We have advance notification of an upcoming sale next week (Tuesday and Wednesday) for the main and baha level up packs. Again, if you spend real money on your farm(s) these packs can replenish your SG, SSG, and TM. Plan accordingly.

I'm about to start my run on the Death Star, er, morning's farmings. I think I have enough coffee in me. Ummm...looking in my cup. Maybe not. Off to get a refill.

 

When the MM fields opened today and I harvested both lands I got 30 Microscopes and 33 Alein cell. I am trying to grow enough crops to do the library by doing so I will get the 2 Tiles needed and hopefully by then I will have enough drops to get the 2nd Lenny keycard for the 2nd room

No, only on permanent MM crops.

 

Good afternoon to everyone from Finland.

Admittedly, I've used Jack O Gift once and also put that +100% plants on the Gold slot, but using those I've progressed:

Library: 10 squares
Workshop: 7 squares (1 Arboretum with long trees)
Secret Lair: 11 squares. (2 Menageries with 9 and 10 hour trees in)

(I've progressed in that order, as the tip says at the very beginning of this thread)

I think that in such a long event it's "pretty nice progress" and since CR isn't "the best possible" for my playstyle, I guess I'll use Red Probelli and Green Drops for now.

Instead, that Wood Fertilizer -30% time off speedup has accumulated thanks to many Jumbo trees, over 4800 pieces, I put it every time I harvest with the Harvester, on all the trees I have on the edges of the game areas and also on the 8-tree plant ALWAYS to get the Microscope drop faster.

edit: just collect 9 Glowing Mushroom trees and get 4 microcopes 7 hours 8 mins versions this time.
