Thank you for the bonus code and extension due to the technical difficulties at the beginning of the event.

 

A few hours in and this already seems to be Over-Regulated. What's the point of having a large field if I can only use half of it? I am Not going to be impressed if I end up with an imbalance of the two crops and I cannot grow what I want and where. There are more rules than a municipal parking lot. (and That is not a good thing)

 

I soooo agree! How can anyone think this is fun!? After 15 hours I have 95 crops in the barn and the full half field planted and the rest of the event field just sitting there empty! why??!

 

Please open all the fields so we can get on the do this event and grow short crops in the day and long ones overnight.

 

I agree with all of the above!!!

However, I am glad that our Magic Trees are giving Excavation tools(drops) for this event!

Okay.... This event is definitely Not fun! It took forever to get 1st CR
(which is a non-reward and at 40 hrs) and get other half of event field.
Now I have to slog through second crop to get the only CR I want.
Not a fan of these loooong events.

 

Does anyone know how to get/make fodder for the Paradise Comics?
I think it must be a cape.

While I stand by my previous comments about event field events - we should be able to use all of our enhancements, etc... - I think I might be the only player coming around to this idea. yes, it's tedious. But it's also do-able with zero stress, zero watching of the clock, and zero resources. This time of year is exceptionally busy for me, and I often skip events because I simply can't commit the time to do them "the way I like to" with resources and frequent harvesting. This event, by design, has none of that. I did the long crop first and on rare days I could get three harvest, but more often it was two, and I finished the first half in a week, and the shorter crop looks to be finishing a bit more quickly. It's quirky and adds to strategy to have only half of the field available for each crop - in a "usual style" event I would hate it, but for this method... I'm not sure. The whole thing is growing one me, once I accepted that this whole dynamic is "different". I still prefer the other style, because I like to get it all accomplished on the days that I can farm a lot, since much of the time I just cannot. But IF we are to have event field events with no resources, I actually enjoy the long drawn out, take my time, no stress method. And I'm certainly getting a lot done elsewhere on the farm, with long crops that I often cannot do much with. The customer orders for the event field I found to be a lovely bonus - the second two requests were fillable from the very beginning, and as I finished with one crop, I can keep growing it to get the rewards. All in all, while I expected to grump and grouse about this event, I have been pleasantly surprised. I fully recognize that this is a difference in MY attitude, not anything to do with the event - but I guess my motto is, if I can't change it, I should find a way to appreciate it! I am, however, VERY grateful that we didn't get this event PLUS a growing event on the farm somewhere.

 

I'm really getting into the 2 weeks long field events we had: no stress on harvesting all fields, doing what we want on th normal and bahamarama fields, refilling inventory, milling power feed, etc. It took me 6 days to be able to open the second half of the field and it was frustrating at first, but after working on the second event crop, I just felt into the routine and didn't mind. The customers' orders were a bonus which we could take or not.
