Hey, I recently found out about workshops and stable upgrades and I wonder if someone who is experienced can recommend which ones are worth to make?

right now the best ones you can make are the neon pens that give you 4 animals per unit of food.
then the pink that give you 3 animals per unit of food. hope this helps. codyj #44475068

Crafting upgrades can be costly in tools and breeding/coloured animals for newer players. You can win some orange/red/pink upgrades on both spinning wheels at some point too. As a new player, you should try to get you hands on orange/red as soon as possible. They're relatively cheap to craft (level 2 or 3 breeding animals) and they double you animal revenue with the same amount of feed. Orange and red upgrades for pen animals will get you 2 animals per feed. The red upgrade has a shorter havestable time compared to the orange one. If you can only harvest only on few ocassions during the day, the orange animal pens would do. If you're an avid player and are logged on 24h/7d, then the red animal pens could help you. The pink animal pen upgrade will give you 3 animals per harvest and the neon upgrade (the best) will give 4 animals per harvest. That said, they're quite hard to craft: the neon animal pen upgrade requires the top breeding animal and lots of rarer tools to craft. Some event will reward Crate O'Neon Stables I & II that would greatly help.

The workshops upgrades are even costlier to make: more top notch breeding animals, tools. The yellow, orange and red upgrades only reduce harvestable time except for some specific workshops where the red upgrade will give 2 products. The pink upgrade is the top we can craft right now except for the neon rodeo ranch. To craft that neon upgrade you will need one neon light bulb, 3 top notch breeding horse and tools.

Some Farm Society Quests (FSQs) offer upgrades even some neon ones for the Camal, Panda and Monkey (it's called Unlikely Brothers).

You can also post requests for upgrades during the Gift & Barter Event (usually refered to the Gift & Trade or G&T event).

This farm rarely puts out workshops, so it also rarely constructs them. It is possible to get to a very high level in this game without constructing or using/harvesting workshops, but the caveat is that you must have a whole lot of CCs to spend at the farmer's market when events, quests or customers ask for workshop items that you do not have.

So there is that. If you are just starting out, I'd suggest that during the next few Gift & Trade events you ask for or trade for Cow Milk, Goat's Milk, Honey and Egg trees. The trees are 1x1's and they do NOT require to be fed a requisite animal. So that way you'll never need those workshops. You seriously cannot ever have enough egg trees out.

Other than that, Northy really covered it all in the post above.

The bat guano and sheep sheering shed Red upgrades are the best workshop upgrades as they give 2 product output instead of just one. You can even win the glitter sheep or sporty bats needed on the wheel sometimes.

I've barely made any workshops. I have 38-40 different types of workshops (main farm), plus a variety of upgrades for most of them, almost all of which I have simply collected over the years through quests, events, the wheel, and any other means of getting workshops. You almost don't need to make workshops at all I don't think, but it depends on how long you're willing to wait to get the ones you want/need.

It really all depends on your goals. There are so many aspects to this game, it is often better to look at what you want: accumulate Country Coins, leveling up, build up stocks (then, what to work on animals, trees, crops, products or all at once?), events (which will also require the previous option), or complete Farmer Society Quests. When you can find what you are aiming for, you can focus on what you need to achieve your targets. :)

Of course, you may want to do a bit of everything. I think what I am trying to say is there is no wrong or right way to play this game! Sorry, that probably doesn't help at all. :music:

I have many friends who play very differently to me but our main aim is to enjoy our farms. I would also say that I have been playing this game from nearly the beginning, just passed my 15th anniversary ( :wuerg: ). I am still learning new things (or being reminded of things I should have remembered!), stilling finding new ways to play and I am still loving my farm to bits! :inlove:
