"The Mysterious Island" Timed Quest

A time quest event with a few hurdles for newer players.

There's 4 timed levels and 4 levels that require event drop deliveries. The event drop can only be obtained on the Main land:

Hourglass

You will get this drop when harvesting the Main land, from crops, stables and workshops.

Step 1: collect 80 chickens	under 7:00h	place you stalls, feed the chickens and only active the time after the first batch is ready to be collected
Step 2: donate 45 hourglasses
Step 3: collect 90 cuckoos	under 6:00h	place you stalls, feed the cuckoos and only active the time after the first batch is ready to be collected
Step 4: donate 73 hourglasses
Step 5: harvest 1200 peonies	under 7:00h	sow your crops and wait for them to mature before activating the time. Remember that all crops that are harvested while the time is active will go toward the donation, make sure you have enough crops to sow a second time in inventory
Step 6: donate 210 hourglasses
Step 7: harvest 1300 ferns	under 6:40h	sow your crops and wait for them to mature before activating the time. Remember that all crops that are harvested while the time is active will go toward the donation, make sure you have enough crops to sow a second time in inventory. Players can only buy the fern crop from their market so make sure to have at least 400 before you do this step.
Step 8: donate 195 hourglasses

Players will need a total of 523 hourglasses for the entire event. Do not hesitate to sow long time crops overnight.

Drops come from the Main land, but the donations for the timed steps can come from the Main land, Green Meadow and Magical Glade.

 

Nordais I think you have to feed the cuckoos in step three

 

Really? I'll be gone all day Saturday followed by hours of so tired I'm stupid, so I'll do what I can tomorrow and then pick it back up Sunday.

PS: Asking for a friend: by CUCKOOS they mean the eggs with legs right?

Yes, we do feed animals, but just feeding them in the time quest will not do. I don't want to confuse players who are translating all this. I used "harvest" because I'm too lazy and use the harvester to do it!

English is not my first language and I just don't know what the right expression would be (raise animals, yes, but "pick them up" doesn't really cut it).

But you need Cuckoos there so you need to feed and place that animal

Wow, thanks Northy (and Enk52) and all those whose first language isn't English. You have a more clear understanding of FAQs than I, and my first language is English!

What time of day does this quest go live? It doesn't specify in the game FAQs and it's now after midnight on Friday 27 June in Germany.

I totally missed from game FAQs we have to 'collect/harvest' in the given time and not just have them in stock. Also, thanks for the very important reminder to keep enough stock to resow! (But we could also purchase up to 300 crops in the market for resowing.)

I thought I was ready - I'm not, so have to redo my Main farm with needed crops and critters. Really appreciate this thread - wish everyone success and a wonderful day.

I find the idea of partial donations being lost, abhorrent, and a poor reflection on BP.
This is a new low for timed quests.

Buying fern from market may be very expensive, if there is any there left. You cannot buy it from seed shop. If you have Fern Dispenser from old event, you can get one every 20 h.

Gives: 750 EP, 1 x Fern
Time: 20 hours
Level: 3
Size: 1x1

My strategy is to get drops from long time crops first. Then I'll have coloured stalls out to give asked amount of chickens in one field and cuckoos in another (if I have enough drops to move from one to another) and after that I'll grow plants.

 

Thanks once again Nordais for making it clear what we need to do. I almost missed the most important factor: "Timed" Quest!

I will do this one but I'm not really over-thinking it, probably totally wrong strategy but I have chickens and cuckoos in, ready to go at start of event and hope to get enough drops for the first drop donation. Will worry about the other drops later - maybe long term crops overnight should be enough to catch up!

I thought everything is on only the Main field so can't grow crops/critters on Meadow or Glade. Maybe a senior moment, but that's what I understand from the FAQ and Northy's notes. I would love to be wrong!

 

Think it is just drops coming from the Mainland - all will be revealed in the next 20 minutes!

 

Drops from Main land only. I'm guessing that the chickens and cuckoos can be placed on all 3 (main, green meadow and magical glade). If you have 100% for animal stalls (gold slot) and 100% or 200% in diamond slot, the animal donation can be done on 2 different lands like main land and green meadow. That's what I will try!

 

Hello, please explain how to get a Fern Dispenser, my farm level is 225.

 

I believe they were a prize in a long ago event. The only way to get Ferns if you haven't got a Dispenser is to buy them in the Market. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

 

Harvested crops/critters from Meadow or Glade count towards the event!

 

The fern dispenser was introduced in the Funky Fern Project event. It's not something you can buy or get besides in the G&T. You will need to buy your fern crops in your market to be able to sow them for the event.
