Thanks, Nala for the peek into the future! I remember this event from some time back. I enjoyed it, but can't recall the dynamics. Not sure I will do it this go round. Still busy with RL and settling in. Summer seems to have settled in with a vengeance in many parts of the globe. Wishing everyone to stay safe and well.

Thanks Nala...and OMG I agree with gardengal that these pens are soooo cute!:inlove: Especially the Forest Cat Kennel!
I know my cat Stormi would love a place like that but she is an indoor cat! lol so she will have to deal with her cat condo!:music:

Adorable! Looking forward to having both on the farm. Our Baby Girl is also an indoor cat, although she came to us as a stray so was outdoors for a period of time before we adopted her.

I am curious about the origins of the new Forest Cat. Google mentions a Norwegian Forest Cat, but it does not resemble the new stable kitty. Also the trees in the stable have a more Asian look, but I'm no expert of flora or fauna. Any ideas?

A deeper Google dive shows Forest cats in Kobe so I suspect they may be related as there are a number of Temples and Shrines where cats abound.

The Norwegian cat breed states that it can be of any colour, but they're some pictures in google that do look like that cute kitty: darher patch on the head with a white front.

I was thinking it was sort of farmerama's version of cat islands in Japan. They have 11 cat islands there. :)
*edited to add I forgot to mention there are lots of cats in bamboo forest areas in Japan as well. Also, like you said above, they hang out at many temples and shrines. There's a huge "cat culture" in Japan.

Indeed there is! One of the most interesting things to me is how many cats here have crooked tails. Our son adopted two and both have tails that are more like clubs than our BG's typical long, straight tail. Except for the tail, our kitty resembles a cat in a Hiroshige wood block print from the Series One Hundred Scenic Spots of Edo of a cat sitting at a Japanese style window looking out. BG's markings are very similar.

@Nordais They also resemble Maine Coons. We had a ginger MC who was with us ten years. But he was adopted in Australia! :D

I also googled the Forest Cat and OMG the Norwegian Forest cats are like small fluffy dogs! lol And soooo very beautiful! And I also thought the moment I saw some of the larger ones they do look like the Maine Coon Cats! I just :inlove::inlove::inlove: them all and Nordais you are so lucky to have a Maine Coon and MeadowCrossing your "Baby Girl" sounds like a beautiful kitty too! My cat unlike all of yours is a natural born bob tail who thinks she is a dog! lol

Lol I have the opposite situation ~ my dog thinks she's a cat because she was always right next to my cat from the moment I saved her and brought her home as a puppy. She learned all she knows from my cat. She's very old now and still grooms herself like a cat and plays like one too. (My beloved cat lived to almost 20 then crossed the rainbow bridge. I still haven't been able to get another cat yet because it hurts too much to witness their whole life, to care them for them dearly, and then have them pass on after such a long time in your life.)

@gardengal, because any cat I have had has always been a rescue or adopted from a shelter and a house cat , I know how deeply we love them, and when they do pass it is hard to move on. BUT I have found that I do go after time and help give another shelter cat or kitten a better life and home! I do it because my cat who pass on would want me to show my love and affection to another kitty!
My crazy cat will actually play fetch, I throw her the small soft ball and she runs picks it up and brings it back...just like a dog! Duchess, the other cat lays there and looks at Stormi like she is nuts! ha ha ha

@sanddollar15 That is so sweet and I completely agree. I just haven't been ready yet, plus I'm moving next year, so hopefully I'll be ready then. That is beyond adorable that your cat plays fetch! :inlove:

@gardengal and @sanddollar15 I loved reading about your kitty experiences. What a lovely way to begin Friday morning. :inlove:

Despite having a pupper buddy for 16 years (Max our beloved dachshund), I think I've always been more of a cat person. I was born in the year of the Tiger so maybe that has something to do with it. Our BG captured my heart one winter morning back in Louisiana when she poked her heart-shaped face under our backyard fence. I'd gone out to feed the critters and as soon as she and I locked eyes, my heart was captured. She was very, very skittish and ran away, but finally after about three months she would come close enough for me to pet her. The spring following the winter, she delivered four kittens in a flowerpot in our back courtyard. Two passed over the rainbow bridge and two survived later to be adopted by our youngest son and DIL. We had BG spayed and originally imagined she would be adopted since we had decided to make our move across the pond. However, no one wanted a cat and all the shelters were full, so hubby said, 'guess we have to bring her with us.' That began the almost year-long saga of getting import permission, but we did it and here she is! ;)

@gardengal Hope your move goes smoothly when the time comes. Never an easy thing to do.

I totally understand...you will know when the time is right! (((hugs)))

OMG I am soooo happy you were finally able to take BG with you! I was wondering and did not want to ask just in case y'all had to find her a home back in Louisiana. I am a true believer that "they" pick us!:inlove::inlove: Good luck to everyone who has a pet, I too love dogs BUT my lifestyle made me become a happy cat person! I just love the story of Baby Girl!

OOPS I think I double posted! So sorry!
