Seriously, how do people manage to harvest thousands of crops in two days? Is it thousands of SG or is there a certain giver that helps you out?

The key, for me, is punctuality. This crop, just with water, takes four hours. So I set an alarm. That means I can go do other stuff, and pop back when needed. In a 16hr day I can get five harvests with crops on Every 1x1 square - All 532 of them on the Baha fields. Jack O' gifts and 100% bonuses are wonderful aids but they still rely on me getting there when crops are ready!:D

if playing on PC (like me) You can adjust your screensize - I use 150% and my display is only 22" (and I´m 52y)

Game update: I just played 79 games, the ones (100%) from the quests and everything I got done in the mill when the fields were already full of new plants.

I think I missed one Star Coin symbol (= 5 star coins), when for some reason 4 of them flew at once and all to different sides of the screen.

    Total catch 1810 star coins.

I collect (my order) star coins, green drops, red probes and wood dung as well as money symbols. Possibly Farm Coins. I'll leave everything else alone.

Have a nice weekend everyone (it's 9.36 am in Finland).

As an alternative, and using less SG/SSG: I have used Comfort Fields with water, manure, SG and SSG. I have a plant bonus +100% and I have a Jack O Gift - each plot gives me 40 plants. This means it is possible to finish within 3 days. :p

I normally leave trees round the outside but this time I used event plants. BUT it is necessary to delete the single plots before planting the CFs and adding SG/SSG, etc, unless you want them to be speeded up too. :music:

The CFs take 4 hours 20 minutes so at least three harvests are possible in a normal day (mine anyway). I will finish the crops today and then concentrate on the drops still needed (I have over half of the required amount of drops). As an addition, I find I get a drop from most CFs. :inlove:
Remember, though, each plot needs three seeds. EDIT: Taking this into account, you get 37 per plot. :)

CFs really come into their own when you have a +100%/+200% bonus. ;)

I have a Jack O'Gift giver too, but it looks like it only gives EP. How do I use it to help with crops?

Jack O'Gift is a limited charge giver, once you've run out of them it becomes a "normal" EP giver. That won't help with your crop harvests, sorry to be the beared of bad news. :(

I have now completed this event! I did the "Too much candy quest" and played all 66 mini games. I also "Milled 12 Baskets"
with the extra crops I grew and the drops I got. I ended up with a total of 1,830 star coins to spend, and for me that was more than enough to buy what I wanted too! I am now going back to normal farming. So, to any of my neighbors and friends who send my farm drops I no longer need any but there may be someone who does!;) Good luck and I hope you all reach your goals!

I too have completed the Too Much Candy Quest. Nice event, Queenie was a little stingy and no PF this time but otherwise pretty good prizes. I got all of the three latest Wonder Stables and that was about all I wanted. :p
Good luck all those still working through it! ;)

Edit: Actually got another Stoat, so I am happy! :inlove:

I didn't do steps gold and diamond of the quest but milled a lot of baskets and though my average number of crates was low i could get almost all the prizes i wanted from the shop :)

This version of the event was not as it used to be but it was quite good, especially for beginners.

Already waiting for its return xD

Back when I was a manager of a fishing company in Greymouth, New Zealand, we built a float for the Christmas Parade with a cardboard fishing boat over a little J1 Bedford truck. Tall Dave was an expert painter on staff and it was magnificent! We individually wrapped chocolate fish and threw them to the kids watching the parade and it was such fun! But unfortunately, we didn't feature our company name well enough and the local newspaper couldn't identify whose float it was - they rang our opposition and asked if it was their float and of course they said Yes! It was us! So they got front page credit for our work! I complained to the paper and got an apology printed.. tiny and on page 5!
    :wuerg:

The next week was the Westport Parade so the manager there asked us if our float could attend. I drove it up. There are a few hills between and with the bow of the 'ship' the engine started to overheat so I had to do some bow destruction to get going again. Tall Dave went up to repair and paint and all went well from there. The float was delivered back on one of our large trucks coming to collect our surplus fish. (yes, we did some work as well!)

    :p
The next Saturday was the Hokitika Parade, and they had a competition where locals could vote for the best float so that was too good to miss! There are no hills that way so off I went on the Thursday and Tall Dave went and did some more repairs and some fresh paint. A local freight company allowed us to store the float in one of their open type fertilizer sheds in an empty bay. But in the night the wind came up and the fresh paint got covered (not too badly) in fertilizer dust! Well, we got second prize in the voting and this time our company name featured correctly.

I did it! I used up 2/3 of my SG and SSG but I got the cloud row! And best of all, I spent zero real money in the process. :) I think that's the first time I reached an event goal w/o buying any helpful baskets or bonuses.

Finished last night on this farm and SL's. Played over 80 mini-games on each farm. It was actually okay that the float went faster, on that account.

I tried to spend my star coins wisely.

As for the thousands of crops in a day: 200% XL or 300% XXL farm bonus in the diamond slot with a pinky pie to extend time to over 30 hours; 100% plant bonus in a gold slot; Party wheel bonuses if you're lucky enough to get one (or more); activate any Jack-O-Gifts you have out (gotta be careful - no just poking the harvester button to harvest all givers - that is a reminder to myself, ahem); Use SSG and SG and as David mentions set a timer so you'll harvest as soon as the crops are ready.

Caveat about that 300% XXL farm bonus - they are RARE as hen's teeth and I covet, er, save them for events where the crop amounts are huge and it can do the most good, which means I seldom use them. I do use the 200% XL bonuses, and in fact did so on the first day of this event. This is why I "hoard" the crates o' buffs and crates o' farm bonus I and II.

Edited to add: If you need more SG and/or SSG and you're willing to spend some money on the game, the two things you can purchase that will help your stores of SG/SSG are the Mega Harvest Pack and the Main/Baha Level Up Packs. The amount of SG/SSG in those are why I sometimes purchase them (if I'm running low). The Mega Harvest Pack is available right now for the next 28 hours. The +3 bonus of it runs for 24 hours and starts immediately after purchase. If you time it correctly, that can also boost your yield of event crops for this upcoming event.
