Unable to access my farm from a new computer

Hello, I have been playing for a few years and my farm is at level 109. I recently bought a new computer and I have tried several things to transfer the information from my old computer to my new one.
- First I copied the entire Farmerama folder from the old to the new computer and tried launching the application - it wouldn't load.
- Then I installed the game client on the new computer but I logged in at Level 1.
- I tried to overwrite the Farmerama folder copied from old computer - still level 1.
- I logged in on the old computer using Facebook then tried to log in via Facebook on the new computer - still level 1
- I logged in using the browser rather than the client on the old computer but it was at level 1 as well.

I feel like I'm missing something and I don't know what to do from here. Are you able to help me?

 

Hello xbgxtisha,

You do not need to save folders from the computer, you only need to log in on your browser to continue where you left off. If you want to play on the Standalone client, you can download it when you log into your Farm on your browser.

You may need to delete all associated Farmerama Files/Folders and then restart your computer and try just logging in from your browser to access your Farm again.

This did not work for me. I uninstalled the game and manually deleted the files from my new computer. I restarted my computer and logged in using the browser only but I am still only level 1 (technically 2) on the browser. When I log in using the client on my old computer I am level 109 however when I try and log in using the browser on my old computer it shows me as level 1. Is there anything else I can try?

 

As Shooger.sweet mentions, you should only have to log into the game on any device and pick up where you left off. I wonder if in moving folders you somehow reset your history. Maybe some tech wiz can search the server to before you moved files from old device to new and see if they could locate your game before you moved files.

 

In 2022 I had an experience that led me to believe that progress data was stored locally rather than on a server. That was the only reason that my first instinct was to copy files. I stayed with a friend for a week in 2022 and asked if I was able to download the game to her computer. I had just over 600 days consecutively logged in and I was reluctant to have that reset. When I downloaded the game to her computer and logged in my farm was at level 1. This (erroneously) led me to think that if I wished to maintain my progress I should move the folder over as a first course of action.

I did this on August 17th at roughly 2pm AEST if this information helps.

 

You have two different versions of your username that you are posting with here on the Forum. Can you ensure you are using xbgxtisha to log in as that is the account that is at level 109. Username xbgx_tisha is at level 2.
