I'm not very fond of collecting things at certain times, the prizes are great but the quantities of coins will be totally insufficent, so i haven't made my mind yet. Tomorrow i'll see.

Thanks Nala for the lovely chart and details. These are always so helpful and we appreciate your taking the time to share.

I join Sanddollar (and maybe David unless he changes his mind!) in that I, too, shall sit out this one and ask that all neighbors who might send me gifts, please send drop items to others doing the event. I agree with Flower that I think drops will be hard to come by and I'll continue replenishing MM stocks and growing MM feed for the hungry critters.

I have decided not to participate in this event, the CR is not worth it to me for all the event entails, nor are the givers, and there doesn't seem to be any good prizes along the way either.

I will grow the crops, collect the drops and see how far I get, while trying to remember to activate the tiles when necessary. Anything I do will be good as I am on my hols and only farm when we have "down" time, that is first thing in the morning and in the evening and maybe a quick harvest in the middle! As I say, anything I get is a bonus and if I don't finish, I've lost nothing!

Thank you Nala for the detailed and easy-to-read description of the new event! I've also read - and reread - the FAQ to the event and am still stumped as where/how to get the powder needed to mill the seed for the crops. Want to start with the MM side of the event, but am already two hours behind schedule as I cannot figure it out. Must have some grey cell lying askew so that the other cells cannot communicate properly, or something of that nature.

I still don't know if I'm doing this or not. My fields are full of extra animal pens on both farms that would do this event. Yes, farmerbroke, I'm prepping and not for doomsday, for the "donate everything in your barn" event coming soon.

Anyway, Nala - thanks for starting the strategy thread.

If I do this one, it's going to be "from scratch" like a broke newbie.

You donate the map to the path you want to start with. Then you will be awarded 9999 of the powder that you then use in the mill to make your starter seeds.

I see most are deciding to sit the event out. I'm too tired and have had headaches to properly analyze risk vs reward so I've started the event out of habit.

 

How do I get cardboard rolls to mix in mill?
I see from FAQ for this event, I get 5 if 0 after 5 hours; and see I can BUY packs - so is that the only way to play the game?
Any help/suggestions welcome.

The first crop is more challenging. Yes, you start with 5 and will have to grow all the rest of the crops from there. BUT.... In 5ish hours there will be 5 more in the queue. If you put them behind something that takes a REALLY LONG time in the mill, then you can start accumulating the extra cardboard rolls and start the second crop with many more. This is one reason we have the 1 versus 10 option.

Really or is it true...

After the previous challenging event (for my level 240++) we have now been given a really easy week event, a little over 10,000 field plants as event plants TOTAL.

Why:

POC + 100% with the festival ticket (the first one... oops) and now that I put Jack x2 on, half the field produces 16 with a red probell and a small one 14, so twice 36 minutes (chestnut and magician CR) or less than 1h 30min and I could get to the next plant and area,

IF only those "you need 5 of these to open a new plant -hoaxes" come up more when the plants are in the fields. Let's hope, the start of the EVENT is well over 5h and more but the first plant of your own plants only takes that 1 hour and 30 minutes, not even close to 5 hours...

But "about 1.5 days of stuff" with those bonuses and it WAS WORTH saving about 1500 green drops from the previous task and doing the event mini-games 23 hours before the end, now it's "what to eat" with those greens (over 2200 managed to accumulate in JumboPuis during the previous event).

IT DOESN'T WORK FOR EVERYONE (if no those CR´s and so...), but I and apparently my girlfriend got the same bonus Party tickets!)

LUCK TO EVERYONE, there was enough here for the first 2 hours!

edit: 23 minutes and 3840 MM-plant is ready but those Card Board Rolls...
