Fall Festival V

I don't know about brave. Stupid and broke are more likely adjectives I'd use for myself (and only myself because maybe my farming friends planned better than I did).

I'm done. The only thing I'm going to continue to donate is event items. I've ransacked my supply of PF and deluxe pheromones (at 6 a.m. no less) and couldn't even manage to get SL's farm back above the 1000 line.

After I went back to bed, I laid there and decided that I have to make a decision: start planning and hoarding for next year OR choose NOT to participate in this falderal next year. I'm leaning towards the latter. I hope I can find the resolve to stick with whatever I decide.

 

@PrairieMaiden23 Your posts make me smile as I totally resemble your adjectives especially the "stupid" and also for me I will add "Foolish" as I had NO plans to do this Fall Harvest event! I am a hoarder after all and to give my things away is unheard of
but here I am trying to stay in the top 4000 range as I have no desire to empty my barn! I think we need to practice the "Mind over Matter" thing where your mind keeps telling you this event does not matter! Good luck everyone I hope you all can reach your goal....I don't really have one!

It doesnt seem right that you cant earn the cloud row unless you are in the top 1k players. So only 1k farms will get the cloud row.

 

I completely agree! I wish they had lower level CR's for this event.

 

Actually, it used to be the top 500 that only got the cloud row for this type of event, so this year 500 more players will get the cloud row. There's no real gain from the crates that are rewarded from donating, but casual players can make a good chuck of money selling crops and animals on their markets. I know I look for real good deals throughout the year.

 

Good luck everyone trying to find a place in the Top 4000, hope you all reach your goals.

As for me I haven't decided yet if I will throw in or not. Haven't really prepared but do have good stocks of animals, etc. If I feel I can make it into the Top 2500 I'll go for it (have no way of making the Top 1000 this year), otherwise I'll hold off for next year. My second farm however (WillowsPlace) has picked up some bargains throughout the year on high value animals and is very well placed (at the moment) for a Top 1000 spot. I've just checked the progress bar and it's all gone a bit crazy since yesterday so again, I will wait and see closer to the end.

Well done all those of you for sticking to it even though you could be overtaken at the last hurdle.

I did consider preparing after the last one but I got sidetracked and forgot all about it - till the start of this event. I don't want to empty my barn though I wouldn't mind just collecting and donating a few of the high end objects but I know they would never be enough. I haven't normally got the willpower to resist but in this, I just say "NO"!
I am watching you all and wish I had your determination/courage/single-mindedness. Bravo to you all!

 

How do you get the cloud row from the event?

 

Donate items enough to be one of Top 500.

 

Actually, it's the top 1000 this year - and pretty much it's impossible to do at this point in time unless you have somehow stashed away about 5000 virtual reality octopi. I'm serious. I wish I wasn't. This event is essentially out of reach for new, casual or "normal" farmers.

This morning I donated more of my stores on this farm in what is likely a vain attempt to stay above the 4000 mark. Ugh.

 

I guess I won't be getting that second row

 

This was my first and last time! I ranked 3,794 so I just squeaked in above the 4,000 mark
that was my goal as I had not planned on doing it!A BIG congratulations to all of you brave hearts

OMG, is it me or were this year's donations crazy?
Congrats to all who made it into the Top 4000, especially you Sanddollar on your first attempt, well done. I made it in there briefly but only through donating event items so never expected to stay on the list. I did manage my goal with my second farm, WillowsPlace, who finished in the Top 1000 so very pleased with that.

I'm exhausted but onto to the next event I guess

Congratulations to all the farmers who had the courage to take part, everyone did a fantastic job and especially bravo to my neighbours and friends, they all did an excellent job.

 

Congratulations to you, too, c.ciftci! I believe I saw your farm in the top 1000 bracket at the bitter end!

In fact, all of us who managed to claw and scrape and keep our farms above the 4000 line deserve a hearty round of applause.

My two farms managed to maintain their status at the end so same as last year and I'm 100% okay with that. I know now that if I decide to start hoarding for the 2026 go-round next year, it's a very specific set of goods, and mostly not things I need to spend CCs on at the market. That's right, I'm going to amass millions of chickens! If farmer_broke can get into the top 1000 with millions of chickens...then so can I!

I have "amassed" half a million chickens, as you put it, by accident!

Pretty much whenever the poo price goes over 3300 or so (which is quite often, lately, and if I have a field or two (or three) available, then out go the chooks! Neon give four poo, pink give three and red give two. (and my red chooks come from the wheel)
So, while I am selling that lucrative manure, the chooks just pile up.​
