Feedback Farmerama - Game and Features

I also agree and wish that the Advent codes could be more visible too, perhaps on the New page. So easy to forget when we are busy with events.

 

This is specifically about the City Projects.

If the project says "Harvest X on Bahamarama," it should include all of Bahamarama. It is annoying to cook workshops and stables for hours, only to find that they don't "count" because they were on Crystal Falls.

Is Crystal Falls NOT part of Bahamarama?!?!

If you meant Bahamarama PLANTATION, you should have said so.

I see I'm not the only one with this problem.

Perhaps this game has become too confusing and sprawling if players can't figure out what you're asking for.

Stuff like this drives me away from the game every time I try to return.

 

New city tasks. "Use 4 Suzy's Turbo Mulch" reward? 2 Suzy's Turbo Mulch. Really?
"Spend barnyard bills" Costs one barnyard bill to change this. My BBs are too precious to use for this. Even for EP.

I think someone needs to go back to the drawing board for this.

 

My oldest farm spun the wheel today. 1 regular spin gave a Yellow Cow Dairy upgrade. Even worse, two Party spins also gave Cow Dairy upgrades. These are NOT party prizes. Please remove them from the party wheel.

 

I agree with @BlackCaviar and I'll add yellow shearing shed and xxl pine tree to that. I have almost 200 yellow shearing sheds, over 100 yellow cow dairies, and over 100 xxl pine trees all "won" from the wheel: no use for any of them. Please change these items to something else, especially under the party spins. Party tickets are 8 BBs to buy, not that I buy them, but if you're going to pay 8 BBs for a party ticket and then get a yellow cow dairy or a yellow shearing shed, or the dreaded xxl pine tree as a "prize?" ~ that is not a fair transaction. Party tickets can be hard to come by and we earn them, they're supposed to be higher value prizes than the regular spins, and an xxl pine tree is not a valuable prize. A yellow cow dairy or yellow shearing shed is only valuable to new players for a short period of time before they'll eventually have no use for them like long term players.

 

100% agree with both the prizes and using power feed or barnyard bills- both too important for other things than very little prizes on the city tasks!

And I could not get one of the tasks of using super grow/super mulch or whatever the task asked for as I used everything to make that task but could not so now not consecutive days in a row- tasks are not clear in some cases.

Seems like the good prizes are for show to get your hopes up! Especially the harvester coupons- love those but end up with yellow upgrades that I use to recycle and some tree upgrades as well. Oh well, the powers to be want to give what they give.

 

As we approach the end of the 2nd week of City projects, there are some parts of this new feature that I think needs to be adjusted.

In theory, it is nice to receive small rewards for doing normal farm chores, but some of the tasks are not part of the normal daily routine.

• It would be nice if tasks that cannot be done are not assigned. For example, I was given the task to complete a quest step, but I have completed all quests and therefore, cannot do this task. I must either pay BB to reset or skip it.
• Tasks that are not part of a daily routine should be asked for during the associated mini events, such as Baby boom. I keep being asked to either start or harvest breeding processes. To complete this task outside of associated mini events means I won't get the extra animals, breeding badges, farm coins, etc. Fortunately, it is only 2, but it does come often enough to be something I don't care for. Again, pay another BB to reset or skip.
• Breeding processes must be done individually and manually. I cannot use the machinery or it will not count.
• I would also like to see instead of specific field requests that it be more general area such as mainlands (any of the 3) or tropics (any of the 3). I have had requests to sew crops or use super grow on fields that do not have crops, as well as use Turbo mulch on fields that do not have trees.
• The daily reset is after I need to put in long crops for overnight so I see the daily tasks when I log in of a morning. Getting workshop requirements doesn't allow me to put out workshops for products that I may need unless I use power feed or put our shorter shops.
• Rather than being part of my daily routine, quite a few of these tasks actually disrupt it as I must delete items in use to put out items for the daily task and have to use consumables like super grow and power feed to speed up the task for it to be accomplished in time.
• For Winter's Market, we could only plant event crops on Green Meadow. I was asked to use trees. With such a short amount of time for a weekend quest, every plot counts. When events tie up a certain fields, it would be nice to not have daily tasks that ask for that space. It is another reason I would request a more general area approach.
• I have been asked to buy something from the shop but buying seeds didn't count.
• I have been asked to buy something from the market but didn't need anything at that time.
• I have also been asked to craft in the Artisan's Village. I haven't crafted anything in a long time. I don't need what I craft so what do I do with it? Sit in inventory? Sell it? It just adds more time to my farm routine which is already time consuming enough.

With some adjustments, I think this feature could show player appreciation for daily playing. The daily and weekly prizes are not very outstanding. Still, I like to cross things off a 'to do' list, so I have done the tasks, but I do hope there could be some revisions.

I support what PnP mentions above and have faced most of the challenges detailed in her post. I might add that since the past six months, my time zone is now 14hrs ahead of what it was before. This affected all my game aspects - most notably when events begin and end. Nothing to do with BP's planning, but having to adjust my playing style and now having another layer of things to keep in mind when trying to form a strategy for what to do when, takes the 'fun' out of things. If trees/crops could be planted/harvested/fed... on any field, that would be a huge help.

I noticed I'm no longer being asked to do a task on EV, which is much appreciated as that is not open yet. (Let's hope I don't get one of those tasks tomorrow and spoil my streak!)

 

Today's tasks(4) reward is 3 hour harvest helper coupon. Really? I believe yesterday's was 1 suzy turbo mulch. Not very rewarding!
I am using the project swap for the breeding tasks in an off or non BBD event. (as pnp mentioned)

Edit to add: having now used this feature, I love it even more than I thought I would! it is fantastic and whoever decided that this was at the top of the list to implement, absolutely needs a pay raise!

The Farm Express is coming and it's a great way to get rid of the yellow upgrades that no one wants! And this time around, the stables offered are quite good, even more so the ones on the main land!

Also, you can use them in Edelweiss Valley to craft base materials to build trees and crops. You'll need them at some point and will be glad that you're not recycling your good stuff.

 

Absolutely lovin' it! I always leave one spin on each section unless the prizes are good so to be able to choose the number of spins is perfect! I often drift off and miss the prize given (and have to check the listing) but to have a little pop up with all the prizes won is an extra bonus. Thank you!


Edit: Looks like the pop up was not part of the update, not sure where it came from but my baby farm isn't getting it! Never mind, it is still so much better to sit back and watch the prizes won without having to click so much!
