"Winter Market" Weekend Quests

I just used exactly that phrase on the other event thread!

Didn't come here first, planted refined Aramanth - and they were ready immediately! Did a couple of harvests, got nearly all the drops for the other event - could not carry on, lack of SG, so was going to wait and plant them when the weekend event started!
Oh, and just planted long term crops on Baha and Rainforest!

When I harvested my Aramanth, I got 404 drops - 100%! No Howies!

I was wondering why I didn't get ANY drops on BAHA! Problem solved; confusing for a while, but at least they listened reacted quickly. So, thank you everyone behind the scenes.

 

I only need another 100 drops (thanks to my instant Aramanth!) so dear neighbours and friends please send to others who need them more.

 

Can't say I'm exactly thrilled with the drops coming from main field and green meadow - how exactly (short of following illy's technique ) are we supposed to get enough crops and enough drops for 2 different events on the same fields? Maybe it's just me, but BP seems more Grinch like this year, with 8 BB calendar catchups and now needing almost 600 drops from 4 hour crops in 2 1/2 days. Less ho ho ho, more bah, humbug!

edit: it appears we can get the drops from breeding, and there's a BB day this weekend, so I guess that's what I'll have to resort to. Still not thrilled...

 

"great" or not... I have +300% crops and Confort Fileds Main&meadow and BAD 68 drops to Weekend!Need 7000 plants to other event, so totally totally MAD ! Planted again those 85/comfort plot crops to other event and now ~edit~ !

edit: Was it mentioned somewhere that you can also get those weekend Quest DROPS from BREDING's?

edit2: FAQ says ---> You will receive 2 x Hot Cocoa with each breeding process completed during associated Quest. Available from: 12th December at 10:00 CET to 14th December at 22:00 CET

Why, BP, why?

 

Are these the same "negative comments" that made them change fields in the first place!? I took them at their word changed both Baha and rainforest to get drops and to my surprize this morning I got NOTHING! It had been changed back! Good luck everyone!

 

Where were these negative comments?
I wish they would stop messing with things. It's confusing and can be costly with the time it takes to use long growing crops for better drops.

 

Mainly the German forum I would guess. I too had planned for the drops coming from baha, but oh well, I'll manage. Lets see if they throw a Happy Discount Day on Sunday.....

 

As of right now, the drops are "raining" from the main field and the green meadow. I suspect that will change with an update at 4 p.m, er midnight in Germany. Maybe I'll be done with this quest by then. Almost there on SL's farm. This farm isn't doing quite as well with drops, never does.

Edited to add: HAH! SL's farm has completed this weekend's quest before the shift to Bahamarama. This farm is sooooo close. Have all 3 sections of step 5 completed and 1 step of the first four. So I'll have to hope for good drops from saguaro in the morning.

 

Don't sweat it, BP decided to switch it back to the Main land and the Green Meadow. The drop rate doesn't seem to be that bad with the event crop, so I expect to be able to finish it Sunday. I' guessing (or hoping) that we'll have a HDD and be able to get drops there!

 

What does it mean to complete a quest step?
I came up with it, the Farmers' society delivers

 

Regular quests in the game.
Feather/envelope menu
Complete one section.

I hate this because now I've started keeping quests open there for this.

Don't forget this last Weekend Market - know it has already been posted by MeadowCrossing but just bringing it to the fore again - with everything else going on, it is something that could easily be missed.

Had to laugh, I finished the last part and came out to activate my CR - and looked at the Farm Map for a few minutes trying to remember what on earth I was going to do! Anyone else having this problem?
If anyone is missing any of the givers, I think I have an extra of all.

 

Well I thought I had done some breeding on this farm, because I did a whole bunch of breeding on SL's farm. But, again, I was confused. So now I'm going to wait until tomorrow on this farm because Baby Boom. SL's farm has CR up and running.

This entire week has been "pfft" (that's the g-rated version). I am very glad that I have survived until Friday. I am hoping for less confusion next week, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I am not sewing right now and I think that's a good thing. If I can get my holiday baking done, do my part for the holiday meals, and get the presents wrapped without injuring myself then I'll call that good.
