"The Mighty Roc" Timed Event

A timed quest that lasts only 4 days:

Starts: Thursday, 25th of December at 14:00 CET (UTC+1)
Ends: Monday, 29th of December at 22:00 CET (UTC+1)

The only event item is the drop:

Hourglass

You will get this drop when harvesting the Main land, from crops, stables and workshops.

This is a harvest and lose items mechanic: make sure that you have enough feed for the animals and seeds because the event will gobble them up. buying seeds in the shop will not count towards the different goals.

What is needed:

Step 1: harvest 60 ducks in 16h
Step 2: donate 50 hourglasses
Step 3: harvest 70 mice in 16h
Step 4: donate 60 hourglasses
Step 5: harvest 1200 hazelnuts in 18h (best to do this overnight)
Step 6: donate 70 hourglasses
Step 7: harvest 1300 snowdrops in 10h
Step 8: donate 90 hourglasses

Players will need 270 hourglass drops to complete the event and only from the main field, so be prepared to have long time crops on your main field during the night.

Usually, harvests that count toward the event can be made on the three main lands: Main farm, Green Meadow and Magical Glade.

I see it as a break from harvesting holly and candy cane callas, something that I appreciate! Also, maybe we'll get so more Ball Ornement drops with hazelnuts...

I agree, Thanks Nordais for starting the thread and making the event easy to understand! I will also SIT this one out as I am not ripping up lands putting pens down to get required animals in the allotted times! Seriously "What are they thinking!" Not MY idea of fun!

Thanks Nordais, you enlightened us! I'm not a fan of events with time-limited tasks, but Cloud Array Flowers +1 sounded very appealing, so I decided to participate.

 

@Northy Hi, Northy, hazelnuts should be 1,200 to harvest...wish it were just 12! They are a 14H crop.

do the ducks and mice and crops have to be only on the main field to count?

 

I am working on the assumption that only the drops are specific to the Main field, so I am doing the ducks elsewhere.
(not that I am doing this event and lying about it! Don't tell Mum)

 

No, I put mine on the Green Meadow last night and collected this morning...just have to remember to start the quest before harvesting!

I put Amaranth on the Main overnight and used water/poo/SG to reduce the time and had enough hourglasses to do second step. No drops from any field except Main.

Mice have now replaced ducks on Green Meadow and used PF and +1 critter buff to boost their production. Hope to finish the Roc asap and get back to candy canes on Main and GM

I put mine in the magical glade and they counted. On my oldest farm, I put mice in a menagerie and it counted.

Thanks for doing the sums, Nordais. I have a +200% Overal Harvest running plus 2 x Mighty Mower and another buff, +100% animals, so four Neon Ducks on the Magical Glade was sufficient. I replaced the Ducks with Mice and again got enough for the next part. I had Hazelnuts on both fields overnight so when I came up short on the Hourglasses, I harvested the Hazelnuts on the Main field - thank goodness cos I had forgotten the drops only came from that field!

I need 33 Hourglasses for the next part so I will harvest the Main field of Snowdrops and hope for enough. If not, I will put something longer in and put in the Snowdrops tomorrow morning.
I quite enjoyed the break from all the Candy Canes. Not finished but enough time for any more mistakes along the way!
