This event is back for more action on the Event field.

Event crop 1: opening more land sections and tentacles	Event crop 2: Milling upgrades for the tentacles	Drop:	Mill item 1: Raises tentacle levels for better prizes	Mill item 2: Lowers tentacle cooldown by 1h
Red Coral Time: 5 hours and 30 minutes Gives (2x2): 220 EP plantable on the event playfield only!	Kelp Time: 6 hours Gives (2x2): 240 EP plantable on the event playfield only!	Heartstones You will get these drops when harvesting your crops on the event playfield only!	Secret Message 70 x Kelp + 8 x Heartstones = 1 x Secret Message Upgrades the Tentacles by 1	Fancy Quill 35 x Kelp + 4 x Heartstones = 1 x Fancy Quill Each Fancy Quill applied to a tentacle, reduces the auto production timer by 1 hour.

There is 8 land sections on the Event field: the first section consists of 24 1x1 plots and will be already opened, sections 2 to 8 consist of 23 1x1 plots. By opening one land section, a tentacle is activated and can be harvested for random prizes.

The fully opened Event Field will have 185 1x1 plots in total (24 plots from first section + 7 land sections x 23 1x1 plots).

To open all 7 land sections you will need:

336 Red Corals
1000 Roses (main land flower crop)

Each tentacle can have its level rise to 4 3 using Secret Messages milling items. To raise all 8 tentacles to level 4 3, 32 24 Secret Messages need to be milled:

2240 1680 Kelps
256 192 Heartstones

Concerning the Kelp, that is just over 12 9 full harvests of the 185 1x1 plots of the Event Field. This is going to be a long and tedious enterprise.

Each tentacle will have a 4 hour cooldown timer after being harvested.

Players will get points (tasks) by harvesting tentacles:

basic tentacle: 1 point/task
level 1 tentacle: 1 point/task
level 2 tentacle: 2 points/tasks
level 3 tentacle: 3 points/tasks

To get the cloud row, a total of 255 points/tasks must be reached. Completing the event requires 290 points/tasks to reward 1 Piccolo Wonder Box.

Be careful then - the CODE you received is very likely... no, I don't know which one and when, but yes, something like that has generally been associated with Valentine's Day events and days for over 10 years...

 

I have finished opening all the sections, and now have a full field of kelp sewn.

Time to focus on making those secret messages to upgrade the tentacles.

I have 27/290 points.

 

So, once fields are open, Red Corals are as useless as .... Right?!?

They are no longer needed so just grow the Kelp.

 

Yup, you are done with them. Unless you accidently use too much Kelp, then you could resow some for a chance for drops. But there's no real gain from harvesting more Red Corals once you have opened all the land sections.

 

This morning I was able to harvest my kelp, visit the purple one-clawed crab, make some secret messages and donate them to a tentacle that was already ready! I have also decided to fully upgrade one tentacle rather than three a-bit upgraded. As clear as mud?​

 

I decided to cast my net and give this a go...such a cute playing area and I love the EF for events. Northy, thanks so much for the detailed chart and updates. There's a lot of Valentine related things going on in the game...you are a wiz at keeping all those different plates spinning!

Good luck everyone...PS, like David, I'm also going to focus on one tentacle and think it will be the one in area 4 as I've gotten some decent rewards there (hmmm, anyone else thinking of a mysterious place in New Mexico with all these 'areas' floating about?)

 

Concentrating on one tentacle at a time is the best tactic: collecting from one base tentacle gives 1 point, same if you have used only 1 Secret Message on it.

 

I've been making and using the "time shorteners" during the day. And getting up in the night to harvest the tentacles and crops. I still don't think I'm going to get to the end. 290 donations? It's a lot.

 

I don't shorten the time at all.
I updated all the tentacles and now the completed one is 217/290.

 

I figured out what I was doing wrong - shortening the time isn't the answer - upgrading the tenticles is. Ugh.

 

I have been avoiding doing it, but if I upgrade a tentacle, does that reset the timer to four hours? I have been upgrading just before harvesting, but ...?
