Midnight Race III

In race 1, Northy's very helpful chart shows we only needed 2 luminous fuel and 14 luminous fuel xl, but I used a lot more than that. Is there something I did wrong? I want to know how to use less fuel. Thank you if anyone knows.

*Edit to add, I think I did races 2 and 3 correctly since the amount of the types of fuel matched Northy's chart. Don't know what I did wrong in race 1. And I'm not sure if I followed the best order for race 3.

 

Here (too) people seem to be greedy for prizes and only worry about Race 6 when it's time, because there are 25,000++ plants and the drops are still not enough for what the plants need, only a little over 900 drops.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with the mini game. I went back to check for race 1 and it is 14 XL and 2 Luminous fuel to complete the event; it is mathematically impossible to have used more. From previous editions of this event, the game won't let you use more fuel that required, ex. using a XL fuel to advance 3 steps to complete the last step of the race, it would force you to use either a normal fuel or XXL that lets you advance 1 step.

 

I thought we couldn't do Race 6 till we had done all the others - I wanted to do Race 5, thought that was what I was doing when I noticed I was running out of Fuels - and they were PINK!
Anyone else notice that Race 5 is padlocked?
Oh, well, another one done. Need to wait for more drops before I continue!

 

I have just finished this event. As always I am glad we can choose our prizes from the 2 lanes, as well as double the rewards we like most.

I chose to double the Crate O' Neon Stables III hoping specific results, but that didn't happen. 2 Neon Bees, Neon Crate I which became a Neon Frog, and Neon Crate II which became a Neon Parrot. These will be available next Gift and Trade should anyone need them.

Still growing crops. Did a little breeding so have plenty of goggles for those last two races (over 700 - that should be enough, right?).

Now that MIL is home, I'm going to be over there cooking, re-arranging, etc. a lot this coming week or so. She's doing very well, but I don't want her to overdo it, if you know what I mean. And she will. She's already pushing herself to do too much...heavy sigh.

I must say I did have a problem trying to use the XXL's where I was suppose too BUT I think it is a glitch in the game and starting each level was a chore also. SL's farm is up and flying. Sanddollar15 is right - starting the race is a chore! I'm not going up and down - picking a path and sticking to it. The game mechanics are different than previous editions of this event and that is taking some getting used to.

I loved flying that 53 plane. It was a flight full of ups and downs, because i wanted everything, doubled a lot... Maybe i loved it too much

 

All done here, I had to grow a few more crops as there were a few items I wanted to double up on!

Also, all done...I did like PM and stuck to one lane as I was in a hurry to finish. Thanks to everyone's comments, I was able to figure out how to use the super booster in time to get two each of two givers. Have lots of extra crops and am now back to restocking MM crops and milling feed for those hungry critters! I don't need any more drops...please send to others still working on the event. I have done this event last night, I did some double ups as I had to toggle up and down only sometimes as I was seeking those more rewarding prizes

I'm still working on races...about to begin race 5. I don't know how so many of you have already finished?

Could someone please advise me on how to best get more drops? I unfortunately don't have any event drops increasing cloud rows or givers and I only have the main moonlight area (and the small bit that was free on the second field ~29 fields?) and I already have the two trees I have in the Moonlight area (one tentacle willow, one dark queen's apple) out.

Thanks to the amazing Nordais I did finish the first race and I do finally have the crops I'd need to finish all the regular races (not enough aviator goggles for the 6th, but I didn't have enough superfood for that), but I'm still missing plenty of drops (I still need 354 for option one version of races 2-5). Now I doubt I can get the cloud row like this, but I'd so like to get all the givers (119 drops) so I won't waste quite as many of my collected crops.

Do you have any pointers on the crops length that produces the best results in your experience?
I have bought a couple of Terror Bouquets to decrease the time a regular crop would take to grow and I'd happily put water and manure on but don't have the amount of supergrow it'd take to magic my way through things properly if I still want to kickstart the next event. -Are there any other crop grow length affecting items I could potentially buy at the market?-
(I have finally managed to sink my farmer's awards into the tree of wisdom after the Babyboom on Sunday, but they're unfortunately not yet fully upgraded. -~Two months of dedicated gaming, so I have the Country Fair Trophy at 15%, but I don't have anywhere near enough animals to reach another step for the Farmer's award.-)

There is not much that can be done to raise drop rates on the MM fields: players cannot us Howies, no Comfort fields and not much booster/cloud row can help with drop rate there. Your best bet is to sow a long time MM crop during night time, using the Terror Bouquet is the right thing to do. If you stop playing, lets say 8h for the night, you should go for the terror eggplant (the longest MM crop to grow).

Usually, the drop rate goes up in the last few days of the event. Are you aiming for something in particular? Do you have too much event crops and no drops? A few years back I would have said to skip the events out and concentrate on opening all the available space. Unless you want to spend tons of real money on baskets...

Raising both trophies to the max is the right thing to do in the long run. What level are you? You should try to buy the "high level" animals in your market, the ones that can be exchanged for 18000-20000 it the FSQ. You can concentrate on selling hay, carrots, wheat and use the CCs to buy them.
