City Tasks

Store houses are Arboretums, Menageries, and Manufactories. I am not certain if the Museums count or not.

I forgot to do all 5 city tasks today and now the day has rolled over and I'm starting all over again. For me, there is too much to keep track of on the farm. The event and all its associated different times is all the bandwidth I have.

@Jarrow ,you need to harvest Menageries, Manufactories etc.

 

I spent the 1BB for SSG to satisfy this task list requirement so thank you illy1996 for the tip.

My weekly reward will be 18 SSG. These rewards need to be better especially if spending BB or PF!

 

Yes, I agree, and I maybe premature in my perception of paying powerfeed for paltry prizes.
And breeding when it is not a baby-boom is basically bad.​

 

Has anyone completed all 6 of the first set of Masterclass tasks? SL's farm has done this, but the new set of tasks has not become visible and timer is still counting down for the last, now completed task. I don't know what I did wrong.

 

I haven't checked the FAQ again, but wonder if they may also be weekly. I have about 76 hrs remaining on my MC clock and am waiting for my main field to be ready to harvest so I can plant and harvest 333 cucumbers. I'm on 3/6 MC tasks.

 

I'm doing the third task, growing reindeer on green meadow and my clock shows 45 hours left.

 

I'm not sure, I was so caught up in the newness yesterday, I didn't notice the timer but when I did, it was at 68 hours so I am guessing that it might be over 3 days.

I am actually enjoying these new tasks, I was trying to check the daily one before I started farming to see if it fitted in with my plans for the farm that day or something I could just do and then move on - now I am going to definitely check before I begin as these Masterclass tasks are more complicated.

 

The amount of hours on the clock seems to vary with the tasks.

I've been told by KittyLover that I have to wait until the clock runs out for the second set of tasks. This seems odd to me, but at this point, I really don't care. It's a stupid task list for measly rewards and I have way too much to do to sit and watch a clock. So if the timer runs out and it puts me back to zero, so be it.

 

The timer is just like the one of the daily task, still counts down even if you are done with the 4 tasks until reset.

 

My MC Step 2 tasks began today. I'm on 3/6 waiting to harvest 44 acorns on the Main field...83 hours remain to complete all 6 tasks. So far, not so onerous, but the wait time to complete a task like harvesting acorns, means I must wait til the next day. The first step also requested harvesting acorns, but on the Glade! Doesn't seem to be a way to strategize as the tasks are rather specific. Would be nice if they became more 'generalized' (i.e. location for example), but the FAQ mention they are more challenging and the rewards are better. Would be lovely to get some special trees/critters/etc. as rewards (not wonder items, please!)

 

The timers seem to be different for every farm. This farm is half way through the second set. SL's farm the second set becomes available in about 15 minutes. Each step has a different time associated with it and it's whatever's left on the the clock of the 6th step that determines when the next set of "orders" will be available. It's weird and while I don't think it's "unfair", it's definitely random. Very random.

 

I think the timer acts like the one from the special offers for BBs that we get on the main login page, it always has a 18h timer that starts the moment you log in the game.

 

I would say the time depends about the task you are having.

 

This morning, Continued Project Level/PL 2:

Task 3/6 - harvested 44 acorns on the Main farm (forget the reward!). Timer at 65 hrs.

Task 4/6 - collect 13 cows on the Green Meadow (reward 8SG). (ready in 4H30M) (collected! Good thing I checked before harvesting as one of my +1 buffs expired and I would have been short 1 cow and used a Mighty Mower for the +1 because I didn't want to wait for another harvest)

Task 5/6 - start two projects in the Converter (forget the reward, but it was coins or EP)

Task 6/6 - Harvest 4 Cuddles from breeding. Used 14PF (4 SSG)

59H30M to start Level 3 tasks

If I complete all three levels, it seems I'll get 16PF which helps recoup the PF used in filling breeding task, but does not cover total cost. So far I've spent 2PF for each breeding and needed to breed at least 6 times to complete each of the breeding tasks.

I'm curious what task 6/6 is for others. If they are also breeding, have you tried to change it for another task and gotten something different than another breeding?

I'm taking a vacay from events for a while, but I wonder how the MC will go if future events are on any of the Main/Baha lands. Atm, MC tasks are not affected since the current event is on the MM fields. From Nala's Crystal Ball update, seems next event will be on the Event Field.

 

I think the timer will start to count down as soon as you start the Masterclass, you have 24 hours to do that and then the main timer will start from there - so far mine have been 72 hours.

After I collected my Acorns, I was asked to use 30 SG on Main Farm so, of course, I used 30 SG on the Green Meadow! Oh well, note to self: must remember to check which field!

I don't feel that the tasks are too demanding and today I changed one (use 6 Party Tickets on the Wheel - after I had used all of mine!) with PF and, though I don't like that, I prefer it to using BBs.
To me, it just feels like a mini event using our farm to fulfill the requests.

 

Hey there Meadowcrossing -- I just finished level 2 task 6 and it too was a breeding task for 4 Azure Toads. The reward was 18 Propellers (SSG). As we move onto level 3 in 41:31 hours, I will keep my eye out for how many more are for breeding. Level 3 is supposed to be more challenging for better rewards, and we shall see what the devs have determined to be 'better'.

I am on level 1 as I wasn't able to complete the first cycle of MasterClass. I was away from the computer due to real life issues and just didn't complete it on time. I'm finding the requirement to be too specific in locations that I cannot prepare ahead of time for items I don't need at this time.

Tasks:
1. 8 Breeding cycles rewarded TEP
2. Harvest the Converter 4 times - 4 SSG
3. 11 Beavers on the Mainfield - 5 farm coins. I don't need beavers and so sacrificed space to do this task when I needed to grow crops. I actually deleted sewn, watered and fertilized crops to do this task. I used PF for this task because of the countdown clock.
4. 58 Loneliest Palm on Crystal Falls - 20k CC. Same thing....I don't need Loneliest Palm and removed trees I do need to do this task
5. Use 4 Power Feed on Green Meadow - 20k CC. Fortunately, I have a manufactory on GM but used 8 PF instead of 4 as the rest of the field is crops
6. Harvest 3 Ace Peacocks - 2 PF. I didn't understand if that meant I had to breed ace peacocks or if it meant I needed the breeding results to be Ace peacocks. Used more PF figuring out the requirement. I also used BB to do instant breeding since I was figuring out what I was being asked to do. Perhaps it was clear to others, but my tired brain didn't understand. I was worried about running out of time by fiddling with breeding. My tired brain also didn't realize I was on the final task as I thought I still had 2 to go. I ended up with plenty of time left, but that's my lesson...farming while tired doesn't always provide the best plan forward.

I continue to dislike breeding requirements outside of Baby Boom. Sadly, I was tired when doing the final task and accidentally harvested the entire shed rather than just making room for peacocks. Used loads of PF to reload the shed.

Final reward was a 3 Hour coupon.

Each person will decide if they like this feature and want to continue. For me, as it is, I am done. I find it too stressful to work against the clock for unknown requirements on an unknown field. My fields are already planned out. To continue to delete existing plans to perform tasks that offer low rewards to grow items I don't need is not how I enjoy the game.

1. I find City Rewards and Masterclass not very rewarding at all considering to complete the tasks put to you
2. It puts me off to my style of farming draining you resources in your barn to what you actually getting
3. It is not a joy to change your farm to complete the tasks before you for example not able to Keep track placing crops or stable in wrong fields as I avoid using PF outside BB
4. I have many many CR that gives better rewards, also take advantage of the buffs when I can
5. Also I have many givers and pets that gives rewards too without breaking routine for example I have super, turbo and jumbo trees out I managed to reach my long time goal getting 200K of super grow in my barn which I have achieved recently it is so handy to have and huge help with events,boost drops also crops buffs boosters too
6. I give this feature a miss 100% as I like to farm around my real life
