Ads in Farmerama

This is silly, but I never saw ads in farmerama event since I started playing over 8 years ago. Did I miss something? I didn't want to post this into the feedback section because it is just a question I have: is BP asking us to tell them how to introduce ads in the game??!!

You probably have some extension on your browser If you don't, there are ads on right outside the wooden frame of the game. It also means you won't get movie points in Movie theater (if there is something to watch ).

 

I've been using the standalone ever since it was launched and there is no ads there. When things go south I use a browser and usually I'm too frustrated to even pay attention to everything surounding the screen. Movie points were never a thing for me, it wouldn't start and it's been like this from the starting point (I was one of the last few players that had a mentor when starting to play)...

 

I have no ads on this farm but the two "lazy" farms both have ads at the sides, they are both on different browsers - yesterday I had an ad that took up the whole screen and a play button which I had to press to proceed to the game. Then I saw the Forum with all the ad info and wondered if this was what it was all about. Haven't seen it since.
