Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the "Yard Sale Hijinks" Event in this Feedback thread. We are looking forward to capturing your initial reaction to the event, as well as the final opinion after participating in the event.

Initial impressions:

• Confusing and a bit complicated
• A lot of the requests ask for SG and PF
• With the tasks applying to any field, some of my tasks were not counted on a field. For example, I was to use 31 manure on crops. I used it on Mainfield and it didn't count. I used it on Green Meadow and it did.
• Trading coupons is confusing. I don't know which side is what I am trading or getting. I've tried it both ways. I have to exit the event window, change fields and refresh. I'm ok with trading coupons but would prefer to trade with the 'system' rather than waiting for someone to accept my offer so that the coupons are instantly available to use to skip the cooldown.
• The counter of tasks seems to have some glitches. I was asked to harvest 112 crops and I did but it only gave partial credit. Even changing fields did not update the total. I had to harvest more than 1 field for it to register. Is it not counting CAC?
• I would prefer the global event to be a standalone event and not tied to other events.

This is only day 1 so I'm willing to keep trying because oftentimes with this game, events may start complicated but get easier as we go along.

 

• FAQ is very complex and not very Clear
• There are glitches doing tasks , not clear what fields to do tasks for example
• There are many tasks asking to use SG and PF, so realistically drains more of our resources than we gain completing tasks
• There are tasks asking for lots of animals too much to my disliking
• I am not impress with Trading Coupons as hardly any trades atm
• I do not think we will get very far with global event , many are unhappy with amounts of resources and barn stock to donate to get points towards global donations so I have very very little hope we can get global prizes

 

This event is interesting but confusing. I think too many new things all at once, plus the small glitches, such as trades not showing up without a refresh and the requests being a bit unclear on where things need to happen.

Things I like: we can largely grow what we want and we get to keep what we grow. We can skip a task if we don't want to use the resources. Trading is easy, esp if you choose to create one rather than wait for one that suits you. I actually rather like the trading aspect, it makes things more interesting, but combined with SO many other facets, it's a bit overwhelming.

Things I don't like: after we complete a task, it still shows that wording until we use a coupon or time resets, which can get confusing if you are trying to get lots done in a short period of time. Trying to figure out what will make coupons drop is nearly impossible. This event is tied to the soccer event, which means if people want to do well in that, they have to do this, and this is confusing. Some of the quantities are a little high, but again, we can skip if we need.

I'd like to see a similar event with a few less features. Overall, though, I do find this a fun concept.

 

I was asked for tree fruit but it counted trees instead. 140 Trees. I didn't have that many out, and by the time the fields that are in use with crops and stables are ready, there wouldn't be time to get additional trees planted and harvested in the time frame.

The crops are fairly easy to do but if you opt to use short crops to turn over X plots, then you are asked to use SG, it seems silly. Same for stables and PF.

Because you cannot see the next requirement to prepare your fields, you may or may not be able to fill the request in the time allowed. I reset a task because it couldn't be completed in the time and was given the exact same request again.

As with new events, it can be daunting in the beginning but get better as you go along. There are some things that work well and some that don't.

Enjoying a new type of task driven challenge ( once I had worked out the mechanics )

 

I'm sorry to say that this event is rather messy. I played 5 footballgames but have only one starcoin? Where did the rest go?
Every time I have to deliver for example 18 susi supergrow I have to deliver more because it doesn't count correctly. That's the same for crops, trees and stables.
I play in the client so refreshing is not possible.
It could be a funny event but sofar it's more a gambling event. Pitty I don't like gambling.
