That's fine; if this is a standard of service that you like then that's wonderful and I'm glad you feel like a valued customer. But there is quite clearly a large contingent of people who are really genuinely upset by this decision - and that doesn't need to be invalidated or dismissed by fake assurances you're not in a position to make, or certainties you're not actually certain about.

I admire your faith in the team despite 10+ years of evidence that they're not trustworthy. A quick read of this thread alone, not to mention the rest of the forum, will highlight a pattern of ignoring player feedback, excluding non-European players from event participation, forced payment for full participation in a game that markets itself as free, unreasonable expectations, dismissal of player-reported technical errors, endless compensation codes for game errors (great that we're compensated, poor that we need to be), algorithm programming that precludes full participation, in-game and forum censorship of entirely harmless content, micromanaging of forum communication, and decision-making that directly contradicts the desires and preferences of the consumer group. I respect your right to trust the team in spite of this pattern of behaviour, but I do not consider it to be appropriate or reasonable to ask others to have faith in them too.

Although I am not personally affected by this rebalancing, and in fact I support the concept, the feedback suggests that perhaps there should be a longer period of time for quests to be completed, accompanied by, for example: frequent and longer (or permanent, for the duration of the allotted time) Baby Boom, MM access, low or easy occurrence of events. This would give more players more chances to complete more quests. I also trust the Farmerama team and feel that on the whole, feedback is usually considered and attempts are made to implement suggestions. Much has changed in the many years that I have been playing, and I think all of it is for the good. Could there be more improvement? Certainly. Such is the nature of anything. They evolve, or they die out. I for one am glad that Farmerama is ever evolving!

Out of genuine curiosity, what do you feel is the benefit of this decision? I really can't see a single benefit but I'd be keen to understand from an alternative perspective what the advantage of this is. It might help people who are upset to know why this is going to be a good thing for them.

I'd also be curious to know what feedback you've seen implemented. To my awareness we just have years and years of very reasonable requests that have gone unanswered!

I've never jumped on the FSQ train, when I started playing the requirements seemed sooo high that they were impossible to do. Now the newer players could do them fast beside the breeding FSQ. In fact these should be the first FSQs to be done by the newer players to get the Stars and Golden Bananas to progress. Taking them down will punish the first timers. Back then I was overwhelmed with how many FSQs were piling on as I was gaining levels, I cannot imagine how they feel now.

The fact that we are left with just above 40 days to complete them all is insane tho. The markets are empty of high level breeding animals, their prices have exploded and it is impossible to complete them all with spending thousands of dollars on power-feed. Just the sheer amount of base animals needed to get to the top most breeding animal is crazy and 40 days cannot let us get there.

Will I care not having the cloud row? Nope. Will I rish and do other FSQs before they dissapear? Nope. My breeding FSQs are generally completed up to level 5 or 6 out of 10. I did get the "prizes" for each step, so I don't feel robbed. But I do feel for the players who have made it to level 9 and cannot easily complete them all.

I have been playing for a long, long time and I have a complaint with the farmer society doing away alot of the farm animal quests. I have quite alot of them almost completed but we don't have many baby booms and replenishment of power feed to help me along.
I was wondering if anyone else is in my shoes. I enjoys playing and if anything, I would appreciate less events to focus on getting thru the soon to be removed quests.

Thank You -matselleste- for your comment, I am not saying I hate events, just wish they wouldn't take away the quests. I enjoy playing them both. I have been playing for 14 years and it never had so many overlapping events. Plus I started playing a second farm within 6 months because it was suggested from one of the moderators when we (support staff and I) couldn't find my original farm after coming out of the hospital. praise the the staff person (I don't remember who) that found it after 9 months so I didn't lose anything I achieved up to that point.

@squigglegiggle - As I've said, I believe that these quests will be replaced with new ones that will provide a compensation more in line with current game play. This will benefit everyone. In fact, THIS is an example of feedback/suggestions being implemented, because it has been asked repeatedly for the team to update the rewards, esp. for the high level breeding animals. Other suggestions that have been implemented include the harvester coupons, more PF and wonder stables and trees being awarded as prizes, and cloud rows where you get the items BEFORE getting the row. New animals and trees being available through events is another. Menageries, manufactories, and arboretums were requested. Small elements of event mechanics, that might not be as readily evident to yourself, a self-described player-not-really-event-focused, have also seen improvement through the feedback. Is it perfect? no. Are there suggestions that seem to go ignored? Absolutely, such as the timing of short timed mini-events (which by the way are not all focused on European players, as I am in the US and benefit mightily from the timing) which do consistently seem to ignore a whole piece of the globe, and the stupid wheel prizes which just continue to be a plague of frustration. Personally I detest the quests asking for huge amounts of either really short timed, or long timed crops. Neither suits my game play. But it suits someone's style, so there it is. I do find that the suggestions that seem to be implemented do seem to be those from players who consistently comment, with a variety of positives and could-be-improved's.

Wishing everyone happy farming and peaceful gameplay. I do believe, given my past experience with the game, that these quests will be replaced, and perhaps they will be harder, but perhaps they will be of similar difficulty but with better rewards. There is no way the developers of this game can please all of the players, all of the time. As with anything else in life, what you get out of something is what you put into it. I have not spent money on this game in several years, although I did for quite a while. What keeps me coming back to this game after almost fifteen years of daily play is the way that there is always a way to make it fit my schedule and there is always a way to enjoy it, even if both of those have changed from time to time. As I said before, I do think the time allotted for this completion is insufficient without other incentives such as extended BabyBoom and MM. I very much hope that the breeding quests that remain uncompleted do not completely reset for players, although that is likely. However, just like with events, the rewards gained along the quest chain WERE won, so it is not like goods were donated for nothing.

@-matselleste- Thank you, I couldn't have articulated it better. Also I'm wondering how much of the old coding under flash player is still being used with Unity?!!? We did upgrade to Unity 7 a few weeks/months back and I'm guessing that the old coding might be causing problems.

Frustration is running high, I can understand that some players want to concentrate on FSQs instead of events and I can also see why others might chose the events over FSQs. I started playing 10 years ago (August 2016) and I felt left behind already then with the events. I took me 2½ years to fully open the Mushroom Forest and Crystal Falls. My baby farm took about 8 months because the TEP givers x Baha level were so generous that I'd jump 5-10-15 levels at a time and that meant 25-75 Golden Bananas. I'd rather see FSQs rewarding good cloud rows instead of small prizes, like the cloud rows that give the +1 on crops or animals. This would mean that newer players wouldn't miss those bonuses too.

I was surprised to see that BP kept going with the game even if it meant running the game under Unity. I was a member of another game offering big group that would just shut down games without any announcement. Granted, 45 days or so to complete breeding events is just impossible unless power-feed becomes really cheap to buy. Even then, players will need base animals too...

I'm still playing only because it is integrated into my routine. I have spend a lot of money on this game like others did too, but I feel like I received quite enough back for it. I did considered stepping away from the game and that made me realized that It would be OK with me if I came to that conclusion in the future. I feel bad for the players that were brought into the fold with the "free to play" promise of this game, but at the same time I can't complain about people spending tonnes of cash on this game too. They are the ones keeping this running. With that said, I do agree that all the multiple sales going on is just too much to bare. I told myself that I wouldn't spend a dime on anything if there is spinning wheels tickets included in the offer, the prizes are just worthless 99.5% of the time.

Like @03TURKUAZ03 and @-matselleste- , I'll wait and see, hoping for the best.

Thanks BP crew for the Summer Calendar!
I found it to be very creative & colorful, a fun design. The Farmerama characters were a hoot.
The FREE prize give-a ways were, imo, quite good, very generous.
I really liked that the page would automatically advance forward as the month progressed and also the highlights around the appropriate day making them easier to spot. Nice job!!

My guess is that keeping old flash player coding is starting to drag everything down. A few weeks back when it was announced that the game was passing on Unity 7, it was clear that some players could lose access to the game using older computers and/or operating systems. That is why were are not getting neon stall upgrades for some of the oldest animals like the rooster, platypus, humming bird and such. Getting the pink upgrade for the Rooster was mentioned as being some of the hardest thing the dev team had to go through because the has to dig out into the old coding to find that specific graphic to create the upgrade. If they decided to flush out older stuff from the game, I beleive it is because it is affecting game play. They decided to flush out the cell phone app, they never developed anything that ran the game on Apple and now it is just a matter of time before pcs running Win7 won't be enough.

This is just a guess. The only thing that I am sure of is that they are not doing just to annoy players. That would not make business sense.

If that is the reason then it should have been said.... The players would understand.

Personally I do not like breading however have 90% of the stables up to level 8. Never tried to go any further as it requires to much effort and resources.

I have been playing since 2015 and I am not a big quest person. I do them when I feel like it and
if my farm needs the prizes offered!:music: On my farm, I have 10 half finished Breeding quests that I WILL NEVER FINISH! My choice!;) So, I will be very happy to have BP remove them from the quest list. Wishing everyone good luck whatever choice they make!

My first post expressed my frustration, but now that i "slept over it" i realized that it would have been much better for me to do pink and

neon stables/workshops than giving all those precious breeding away in those quests. It was my decision to do it.

Besides, i have been having problems with my connection everyday and this decision is certainly for enhancing our experience with this

beloved game and not the opposite. Think our dear Nordais had a good guess!

I started playing Farmerama two weeks before it's first birthday, and in that time there have been changes of, well, everything. In my mind, the single biggest drama was around the loss of Flash. Are we coming out of the effects of that change? I certainly think so. I haven't had play/log-in problems for a good while, now - touch wood, so it appears to me that whatever is being done is working. And if, as Northy points out, old coding is holding this game back, then we are well rid of it.
I have done every quest ever - it is my thing. Currently I have three unfinished quests and with just a few more crocodile newts, that will be down to two. One needs moonlight mania to be open, so that will have to wait until Sept 25th. The last needs oodles of oaky moths.
The breeding quests were very expensive to do;- way back I found that I had spent around US$85 - $95 each on powerfeed. (before deluxe pheromones!) It has been easier in these last years as I had enough power feed ahead of a new breeding quest coming along - seven BB trees and magic hats from piccolo boxes give BB's that I use to buy powerfeed. So I had all the sloths/sleep masks ready when those quests can along. There is a pattern to what is needed.

I do miss Chloe. She was the soothing representative of the original German Owners who, even if she couldn't help, she was polite and caring. A great loss, replaced by new world commercialism. Hmmph. But the game goes on, it has survived. Many other games have not.

Reading the comments above have got me to thinking that , looking back, things are getting better!:music:
