Crystal Caves

This is a two week event that will take place on the Main field only. There is just one event crop, no drop nor milling required!

Event crop:

Pickaxe Bamboo

Time: 5 hours
Gives (2x2): 200 EP
Plantable on the Main field only!

Objectives are set of each of the two weeks to get some prizes:

Week 1: spend 10500 Pickaxe Bamboos in the shop + spend 1950 Stamina

Week 2: spend 10500 Pickaxe Bamboos in the shop (total of 21100) + spend 1950 Stamina

To get the two cloud row players must spend 21100 Pickaxe Bamboos in total during the two week event and use 1750 Stamina during the second week.

Crystal Caves Magic Stalk Row 1

Rewards: 16000 EP x Farm Level, 400% extra EP/TEP when harvesting stables for 4 hours, +1 extra revenue when harvesting Butterfly houses, Raccoon stalls and Shark lairs for 4 hours
Cooldown Time: 40 hours
Requires Crystal Caves, Crystal Cleaner, Dino Crisis, Musical Shrooms and Indomitable Crystal

To make sure that players have the givers for the cloud row above, players must fully empty 4 cavern layers during week 2 (to get the Dino Crisis (+) giver)

During the second week, players will be awarded Star Coins each time they empty thier backpacks and collect 5 prize tiles in it.

To get the givers for the second cloud row players must buy them in the Event Shop for 16 Star Coins each (Musical Shrooms and Indomitable Crystal):

Crystal Caves Magic Stalk Row 2

Rewards: 20000 EP x Farm Level, 8000 TEP x Baha level, 1000% extra EP/TEP when harvesting stables and workshops for 4 hours
Cooldown Time: 40 hours
Requires Musical Shrooms, Indomitable Crystal, any two 1x2 deco items and any one 2x2 deco item

A copy of each giver can be bought in the Event Shop for 18 Star Coins (Musical Shrooms, Indomitable Crystal, Crystal Caves, Crystal Cleaner and Dino Crisis givers) each.

5 Tractor Heaven Upgrades are available in the Event Shop for 6 Star Coins each.

To get all Tractor Heaven Upgrades: 30 Star Coins
To get the Muscical Shrooms + Idomitable Crystal givers in Event Shop: 32 Star Coins

That is a total of 62 Star Coins minimum, that means empting the back back 7 times with 5 items in it.

There is no real strategy that holds for the event, it all depends on what players want to achieve. The only required steps are to spend at least 10500 Pickaxe Bamboos and use 1950 Stamina each week and clear fully 4 cavern layers during week 2. The rest is up to the players.

Think it's more complicated this time. Can we start playing the minigame only on week 2 and on the second cave?

 

There is some givers that can be had by spending Stamina/event plant during the first week. Unless you plan on purchasing them with Star Coins, then yes. In the end to minimum of 21100 event plant spent will have to be met to get the goodies. BP made sure to split it 1950 Stamina on week 1 and on week 2 to extend the "fun".

I've been having problems with the forum: I get the 502/504 gateway error sooo manu time, getting unlogged from the forum just seconds after just signing in. Even while writing messages I get error notice when the draft save is activated. I was releived to find my post in the draft save section.

 

Thanks for the post Nordais, as always, clear and concise instructions - the only bit I could work out is that we have to use 21,100 Pickaxe Bamboo!

I'm in but I am not sure how well I can do, I struggled with some of the quests last time and I don't think I learned anything from my mistakes. Though I am on my hols, do get downtime so I am pretty sure I can get the crops done in double quick time (especially with my +300% harvest bonus still running for a couple of hours plus a +100% harvest bonus on the Wheel today).
I actually put Amaranth in my main field ... I read the FAQs, no drops, no milling, but still did it!

Nordais, I have problems with the Forum, no matter how long I leave it for, minutes or hours, I still have to open it again as I cannot post - it always says I have to be logged in (which I usually am) and, if I take too long writing a post, it says an error has occurred!

 

Things are still weird here. No really. DH is plumbing. We can't find an available plumber. He's completely capable and has done plumbing before...in fact plumbing is how we went on our first date. He came over to help his dad with a plumbing issue (kitchen sink) when we were renting a house from his folks. Of course the problems are A) he's 49 years older than when he helped with that plumbing project; B) His dad is also that many years older -- now 91 -- and is not helping; C) he needs more gadgets from the big boy toy store; and D) he makes a lot of noise about everything hurting especially at the end of the day. In other words - we got old and yes, we'd rather just pay someone else to do it.

Okay, as for this event. I really really really just want to skip it entirely. Except I want that first cloud row. Don't really care about the second one. Not sure what I'm doing. I think I'm going to try to muddle through as far as I can and reap what I can and be happy if I get that first cloud row.

Edited to add: I, um, lied. I want those tractor giver upgrades. I'm all in.

 

I managed one quest with my freebies, match 5 pairs! Wahoo!

First week finished and just going to grow the crops for Week 2 - needed a few more crops than anticipated but that's okay.
I did manage all the quests, which is a miracle and hopefully I can do the next lot of quests with a bit of experience from this week. We shall see.

Good luck all - I know I did a lot in a day but we had a rest day and, with the remains of my +300% harvest bonus, then a +200% harvest bonus plus a +100% Plant bonus and not forgetting winning a +100% on the Wheel, it seemed a shame not to maximise. And I used a lot of SG and SSG!

 

VERY LATE start - even very long EVENT too!

My girl: gets +100% and crops +1 from Party Spin
Uncle: gets +100% and 2 times +1 crops also Party Spins
I get: "only" +200% to Diamond place and 1 times crops +1

So, crow,crow,crow...
And Watch U.S.Open Women's tennis 2 semifinals first starts just now (our local time 02.25AM) and second on after that...

 

illy1996 You're really fast; I'm moving at a snail's pace taking it slow... Instead of playing randomly, I'm continuing by focusing on the first week's tasks...I hope luck is on my side.

Congratulations, illy1996, it seems you're enjoying the event!

If i understood correctly we have two ways of doing this event:

1) Pragmatically: just using 1950 stamina/10.500 Bamboos, or

2) Having more fun: using 1950 stamina AND doing the missions, which will require more hundreds of plants, since the rope, for

example, does not count as stamina used.

On the second week, things will get even more 'interesting', because of the Star Coins.
