Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the "Crystal Caves" Event in this Feedback thread. We are looking forward to capturing your initial reaction to the event, as well as the final opinion after participating in the event.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you like it or hate it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future events.

Why have we only got five seeds to start with? One field, over twenty thousand needed and we get a measly 'five'??? Are they coming through the 'Straits of Hormuz' or something? Talk about meanie ......​

I am enjoying no drops and no milling

 

Yes to the no drops and no milling! I like the various ways to achieve goals, the ability to choose what we want out of the event and, as always, some choice in prizes. LOVE the graphics!!!

 

I really enjoyed this first part of the event, I managed to do it very quickly as I used quite a few buffs (+300% and +200% harvest bonuses) and also had some luck with the Wheel. I know I didn't do very well the last time this event came roundso I looked first at what the quests were asking instead of just diving in head-first. Lots of extra crops needed - and lots of SG and SSG used - but I thought it was worth it.
Several ways to go about the event which is good for different levels of players.
And, as already said, great graphics, good prizes and especially so much easier with no need to collect drops and/or mill.

I'm hoping the second part will be as entertaining. (Already grown enough crops for it ... and a few extra - can't waste those buffs still running!).

 

Way too many crops needed (with only one field to grow them on) to do a few matches at a time. This isn't fun.

 

Agreed, the second part seemed never ending, too many crops - I must have grown more than 60k, not good for one field.

And why do we need to wait to spend our coins? No logic as far as I can see though we do win them as charged items so maybe we save our coins and buy something else. Still seems a long way round to me.
Liked the event, liked the quests, liked the prizes but too much hard work to finish for most farmers.

 

Mahjong was a game I liked to play years back, this mini game is not a real mahjong: we shouldn't be left with unmatching tiles when we reach the end. The way the random prize is offered after putting 5 or 7 gift tiles in our backpack is just a twisted way to have us spend more stamina to empty a not fully filled backpack. The price for the two shovels for 500 event crops was way too high. I didn't even look at the dynamite. I also would have liked to be able to spend my Star Coins as I was collecting them. I had set my goal to emptying the 4 boards in the second cavern to get the giver (+). I didn't rush growing the event crop, I did use some super-grow and Suzy's super-grow, comfort fields, etc. I'm not mad about it. There is still some time left to grow more event crops but I will stop there. I should have enough Star Coins for the extra givers. I'm at a point where I just don't care anymore.

I do not like this event a all, but it is always combined with upgrade curtains. I do not like having my arm twisted to do something.

 

I'm going to repeat myself: for the quantity of plants required to complete the event, we would expect much better prizes. Furthermore, after all the effort and resources, we are left with a lot of useless Star Coins.

 

I totally agree with you; it’s an event I really dislike, too. I just want it to end as soon as possible—I’ve completely lost interest.

 

Having finished the event, completely, right down to the last new cave and the last shovel used, I can now comment that while I concur with my above statements, I am also completely bewildered as to the point of holding out on the prizes until the very end of the available time? Not even being able to see what things would cost, so therefore to know what we actually needed... I know it was available in the FAQ but to not have it in-game was, well, petty. I had the cloud rows soon after the second cave opened, but had to wait all this time to purchase the givers to go on them. That's just... meh. Unlike above posters, I do think the prizes were lovely - we got SO much going through the game, with the many missions and achievements plus all the goodies in the backpack. There were good things in the store as well, and most of them at very reasonable prices. I don't love these two week events, in general, but this one at least had the second cave opening to keep it fresh.
