    Hello,:):)

I am addressing all team members and my fellow players who support me.

I have been playing Farmerama on and off for years, yet the game never seems to make any real progress; it just keeps treading water and repeating the same old things. They released a mobile version, but then withdrew it due to update issues. While even the simplest farming games have a global chat feature, Farmerama still relies on a forum system. Aren't you tired of this ? Isn't it time to take this game to the next level ? I am calling on the game administrators: Please bring back the in-game global chat feature. I am certain there are many users who would participate. Please stop making excuses regarding the chat function; Farmerama has implemented this before, so it can certainly do it again.
If my fellow players support me, I am confident that global chat will come to Farmerama.

I would like to start a poll.

Or, you could start this poll, and let's vote on whether all players want the in-game global chat back.

Just curious, what was the chat doing exactly compared to the forum? Was it like the mIRC chatrooms with a main chat and direct exchange between players? I've been playing since August 2016 and I've never seen the chat feature you're mentioning.

I dont' have a dog in the fight about chat; never used it when it was around, and I would not use it if it existed now. But I do take exception to the idea that the game is "treading water" and making no progress. There are hundreds of ways in which the game is easier and more fun to play, than it was ten years ago. I don't think it would be possible to find very many games that have the number of ten-plus-year players. it is not a game for today's short term memory, progress driven consumers, but rather a game of strategy, and the long haul. And those of us who keep playing, have played, have spent real money, and will continue to play, like it for all of its strengths and find the weak spots unimportant enough to keep coming back. The world has plenty of "connect now, get your gratification right this second!" opportunities. The forum works great as it is, lets people ask questions, get answers, and more importantly, it stays there for future reference. People have started "Farmerama social media" sites before and they always go away because the forum is the best place to connect. Farmerama is an insanely complicated game to run. Every method of interaction makes it not twice as hard, but multiples of difficulty. Takes more power, and offers more chances for complications. And then people complain about all the pay-to-play offers. You cannot please all of the people all of the time. Farmerama does an excellent job of trying to balance all of that while staying true to what makes it special. There are new features in the game pretty much every day. Each time that happens, there's an update. Do I wish that there was a mobile method so I could farm while I am out and about from time to time? Absolutely. But I have played for fifteen years without it; it's not going to change my game play not to have it. I also don't want to have to buy a brand new phone just for it to run! For every request I see to change Farmerama, over the years, there are other games that can provide that. Leave Farmerama in peace! Let it stay awesome for its own characteristics. The mods do their very best to keep things smooth, and for that, they have the thanks of myself and many other players.

No, it was only in the form of chat and there was a separate chat for each country, so you are not an old enough player to see this, and it was easier to help each other than the chat.

Hey dude, calm down, you are the best and most beautiful player, I said my opinion about the game, it's a game I've been playing since 2011, maybe you had a chat part in the old game from you, you may not have seen it, you may not understand what it does, I'm a Turkish player and it's not wrong to want to play games with my own nation. In addition, when the mobile version came out, it was also installed on a very simple phone, don't talk nonsense by itself and don't make a premium against admins here.

And also if you don't want to buy a phone I don't have to buy the latest version of a computer

I did use the Chat and enjoyed chatting in real time with my farming friends. We had competitions and we would play silly games, invent parties and the like. :music:

I do understand why it was withdrawn. I started playing in March 2010 and have been playing constantly since then. I have seen a lot of changes, some I have liked, some not so, but usually I come round to liking virtually everything. I don't agree that the game has not gone forward, there are so many things that have been introduced and some complain that there is too much going on - but the choice is there to participate or not. :p

Also, if new players are to be introduced, they must see that there is a way forward and not have to pay huge amounts to get anywhere so those "repeats" may benefit the newbie where we might find it boring/repetitive/uninteresting (I can't include myself here, I try to do everything and usually manage it, despite my circumstances!).

I also liked the mobile app and was getting used to it, I was sorry to see it go but if it wasn't going to be functional, I see the point of it being withdrawn. :(

Finally, your point about the Chat function: there are so few Mods nowadays, it would be hard to "police" it, when I started we were tripping over Mods but that just isn't the case now. I think they do a splendid job with what they sometimes have to put up with, they could really do without 24 hour Chat lines in addition. The problem is multiplied when you have many different nationalities playing - how can you keep on top of that? They need them cos there is always some who like to spoil others' fun, spamming, swearing, bullying to name but a few - I also see it on other games and it makes me very mad. >:(

I appreciate you are putting forward your point of view and this is just my opinion, we are all different and there is nothing wrong with healthy discussion. :inlove:

Thanks for starting this thread! ;)

Farmerama has changed quite a bit since I started playing (also in 2010). Remember the rain and weeds (eating or washing out crops away)....so frustrating! :wuerg: What I remember most when I found the forum, was asking fellow farmers how to do things. I hadn't realized we had mods yet. Our forum back then was VIBRANT and very active! I had tired of all the waiting for long crops...but the forum kept me logged in. We had games and info, very helpful tips. :music:

Remember the actual reindeer farm in England? I've even had 2 Farmerama friends visited me here California from Arizona & Switzerland. It was so much fun!:D
I miss the friendly chit chat and fun games. The last G&T was the least amount of posts ever! There are only about 10-15 people who regularly post on the forum. I've been trying to post more often b/c I'm so tired of being labled as a Forum Freak.:( I'd much prefer Living Forum Legend.
Anyhow, as Chat was introduced.. I did enjoy it! It moved pretty quickly and sometimes I had a difficult time keeping up. Overall, it was a great and fun way to connect with the global community!!!:inlove:
