Feedback Halloween Breakout

Hi,

I don't know if it was already suggested somewhere, but for next time, it would be nice if the "Notes" function allowed us to indicate that a number CANNOT be placed in a certain box. The numbers could appear crossed-out or in red, like this:

 

I enjoy solving the puzzles but many of them are very time consuming.

I would like to focus on solving the puzzles but am interrupted often with having to exchange event items in the shop just to start the puzzle. It is an unnecessary step to have to purchase event items with event drops in the shop when I already won them in the completed puzzles. Having 4 items and winning 2 just adds another 'busy work' layer to an already time intense event. I have to refresh the game often as the event window doesn't always show my actions.

I would like to see the event drops be requested and reduce the crops needed. With both fields in use for the event, it would be nice to be able to use the MM fields for regular MM for crops, feed, quests, etc especially since this month introduced new content and quests.

 

I finished all the towers; everything was great, aside from the wait times for the requested items and trades. I love Sudoku, and the fact that some levels were challenging added an extra layer of excitement and motivation—thanks to the whole team for this event! I’ve completed the game, but I wish I could keep playing; now I’ll have to wait for the next event Maybe next time, the Sudoku could be endless? I waited to give feedback as many events are not evident straight away and I was sure this was all going to fall into place - it didn't!

I was looking forward to an event which included a Sudoku mini-game as I used to do quite a few in the past and wasn't concerned - until I had one of the really tough ones. Couldn't get it right and then the penny dropped, there was an added element with the shapes within the puzzle. Not necessary. Sudoku can be tricky enough without adding more elements, for those who have never done these puzzles, I can't imagine how annoying they were. I found the games very frustrating, time consuming and, to be honest, boring.

I did finish the event, despite being on holiday and struggling on so many of the mini-games but I would not have finished without the help of a fellow farmer posting many of the solutions. I was ready to give up many times and left puzzles without any desire to go back to them but go back I did. I don't like giving in so I persisted ... and, I suppose, cheated, to finish. Not really something that is enjoyable.

One other frustration was that every time I exchanged a break-out tool, I had to refresh for it to show. Again, time consuming and annoying.

I don't say it very often but I would really think twice about doing this type of event again. For an event that was marked Medium - Hard, perhaps it should have been re-labelled Hard - Nigh on Impossible!

Okay, on the positive side, everything else seemed to fall into place, collecting all the break out tools, crops and drops but this mini-game spoilt it for me - and I do enjoy Sudoku.
The prizes were very enticing, hence why I didn't give up earlier.

I do appreciate that the Devs are always looking for new ways to make this game enjoyable and entertaining and they are usually very successful, there have been so many different events lately and I have enjoyed most if not all of them, even if difficult, we can normally work things out. This one just seemed to be unnecessarily complicated. Thanks Devs for keeping up your good work, just remember that some farmers work, have commitments, etc, that they haven't got the time to spend hours on one mini-game when there are another 59 to do!

I'm very disappointed with this event! Suduko is not my cup of tea, I'm a words person. I only reached level 18 on middle column and 11 on right. This only with me buying tons of maps. Grrrr! So no Biggrin or pink monster pit for me.
Oh well...at least it's over. I've given up.

 

I love that this event is a challenge, gets the grey matter going ( have completed now )
