I've lost five pets. Some of the toughest periods of my life. I still miss them all.

Sorry for your real loss, my darling imaginary green card hubby.

Arq, I'm so, so sorry. A friend of 15 years is a great loss. I know right now no words can make it better, but I do hope happy memories will replace your sadness soon. Big hugs for you, sweetie.

Thank you very much, darling ones! I really appreciate your support...

He was still on "vacation" with my parents and I really thought he could have lasted until october where I could see him through till the end, but there was nothing to be done about his kidney and liver failure. He was in real pain.

But 15 years is a good run, right? At least, I hope so in a cat's life.

Just wanted to share a picture to preserve his memory. It's my best form of eulogy when words are missing...

Arq - Thanks for sharing the wonderful pic of your handsome boy! It's so hard to lose a pet...it really feels like a loss of a family member......because they love us and comfort and play with us no matter what. I'm very sorry about your loss. That was probably his favorite place....on your lap.
I'm sure he is in kitty heaven...purring away. xoxoxo

Arq, so sorry for your grief right now. It never ceases to amaze me how much room our animal friends occupy in our hearts, and how big a piece of us is missing when we lose them. It doesn't seem fair that we have them for such a short time, but how lonely that time would be without them! Please be comforted by your memories of him, and the love of your friends here on the farm.

Arrouquelas, I send you my deep and sincerest sympathies. What an amazing and unique friendship we have with animals, and so difficult when they are gone. I know that heartache too well, and I am so sorry for your loss.

Thank you guys for all your support! My heart feels really warm reading all your messages of sympathy and condolences.
I know we shouldn't compare the loss of a pet to the loss of a closed person. But we all understand this kind of feeling, right?
    Kisses and hugs to all!

I am so sorry for your loss Arrouquelas and thank you for sharing the picture of your furry friend. He looks a lot like a beloved cat we had and it brought back fond memories, and a little tear too. His kidneys were his demise too, so many similarities.

    *Big hugs*

Arq - Last night when I read about your loss. I was so moved that I could not write anything. As I went about my RL, I kept thinking about your pain and trying to come up with some clever and witty words that would make you smile or cheer you up for just a moment. Sadly, none came to me so I will say what every one else has said. I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing his picture. He was a cutie. I am jelly that he sat on your Lap. TygerLilly fusses when I try to hold her and she is picky about when I can cuddle her. I know you will never lose the pain of his lose, but I do hope that the void fills quickly with either fun things in RL or another furry friend to sit in your lap.
