Feedback: Halloween 2014

I agree that the stickers are not really rewarding.....maybe it's a matter of the mindset, my son loves them and the sticker album. As you pointed out it would be nice to see them being useful for something. Right now it feels like losing and somebody says: "Thanks for playing". If at least they were only given to players who complete the whole event, this way at least they seem to "proof" some kind of Achievement......

 

I'm a little disappointed that there are no stars for this event. Other than that, it is okay - some nice prizes though a lot of crops to get them. Still we like a challenge - don't we?

I have (nearly on second farm) finished the event and have not found it too difficult to fit in around work and RL so I think the amounts, though high, were fairly good (always want less work but then it would be too easy!).

Regarding the prizes, think it was a little mean to have only the harvester as a prize and not all four functions and I wasn't that impressed with the Baha seedlings - I got two XLs on both farms - virtually useless to anyone who doesn't stay online 24 hours a day, the only difference (with Kiwis anyway) was 2 hours less growing time.

But that aside, a nice event.

 

Graphics are FANTASTIC! I really enjoy them, especially the city square.


I am not so sure about the event itself. The amounts are so high, its hard to finish for anyone with a "real life" away from the computer.

I do like the seedlings, (and stables, too) but agree with some above comments that when prices are so low, too many have been given out. I am new enough to the game that most anything I get is nice (other than Catalpa plants! -- even I have too many of those!).

Personally, I would REALLY like to see a harvester coupon cloud row offered again. -- even separate coupons (1 for harvest one for seeder, etc). I was to new when they first came out to get how it worked. I got the row, but not the EP givers, so ... a big waste.


PS on the other hand, the graphics are fantastic!

 

I personally am loving the 4 and 6 hour crops. I got a late start on this event (didn't have any of the frustration for the late start, being as I slept thru it all), as I have been mostly gone for the last 4 days, but based on past events with similar parameters, I don't foresee any difficulties completing it. I know I was extremely tired of the 8 hour event crops each and every event, so I like the change up, and I don't mind having 2 crops to grow. As with many others here, I agree that the number of animals needed seems excessively high, as it's been for a while now. For me I can manage it fine, but I know newer players will have difficulty meeting the requirements. On the plus side, they are basic animals that mostly don't take as long to grow, so if one is willing to wait and gather all the necessary crops first, you should have time to put out pens after all crops are done to get what animals you lack, I would think. Also, we don't have to donate any of our regular crops this time, just event crops, which is a definite plus. And I have to say, I absolutely am gaga over the animation in the donation window , I hope future donations windows are also animated. I really want Freddy Bear, he's too awesome, lol, so I will work hard to get him. Stellar job on the graphics for this event, BP, overall I am enjoying it greatly!

 

I am please that we are growing a 4 Hour and 6 Hour Crops, as it Makes a Change Growing an 8 Hour Crop. As in Last 6 to 8 Events We have been Growing 8 Hour Crops. As I am able to Harvest my farms often. So this helps farmers who are able to harvest farms often with these shorter growing Crop Times.

There are farmers who only can harvest of couple times Per Day, and Those who can harvest Several Times Per Day. It not easy for BigPoint to please both Types of Farmers for any Given Event. This Event goes to in latter Favour. As I am one of those who can harvest my farm often as it pleases my FOCD.

I love to get The Freddy Bear, love the Animation of it. If Only wish it could help my shipwreck by giving Bahm EP. As we need more Bahm EP Givers and Bahm EP Clouds to Help level up the island. Even High Level Farmers are finding it Harder to level up the island.

The Cloud Row that Gives 20% More EP on Spooky Crops, does not appeal to me. As I am already Level 93 Farmer, it would have been nice to have cloud row that boost Bahm Ep on the Island instead !!!

The Sticker Albums as each Event we are given Stickers for our Albums. as this does not appeal to me and many other farmers. As I dont bother looking at my Album of Stickers......But I want to Make a Suggestion that is would be nice to have an Event Decoration Giver or Decoration Giver, we use to get these in past but not anymore except one in Jacks Back Quest. Would be nice to bring them back, also would be nice to have Giver that Gives CC not had these for Ages.

You have to consider some farmers Value CC Givers more than EP Givers for Main Farm

I not mind the event started bit late than planned, as I make allowances that BigPoint Needs time to replace Scripts of New Events to replace the Event that just ended. As I would rather have an event run later that encounter issues with the new event

 

more drop items ,more drop items .im on level 5 of this challenge and still need 90 ectoplasms to finish it . how many times and how many players have to complain of this before bp listens also again no golden bananas as prizes another request that has fallen on blind eyes

 

So obviously I´m one of the few skipping this one...

I have to admit that I was very disappointed after reading the FAQs:
Yet another event with event plants in large amounts and lots of regular critters...
And again seedlings and stables as some of the rewards...


On the positive side:
2 event plants with different growing times: by using the comfort field option or regular fields perfect to fit into every time schedule
EP rewards per level
Harvest helper coupons and power feed as rewards
Cloud row, 5k EP/day, very nice for many players
The items are cute and graphics are excellent, as always

On the negative side:
Again 2 special event crops in large amounts: it would have been much nicer to use the MM crops we already have
Personally I do prefer events with silver/gold/diamond tasks, thus being able to select the rewards I want to work towards
Regular critters: Halloween would have been a perfect opportunity to ask for some of the (still) useless animals like mice, dogs, cats, spiders and maybe even some frogs...
Secret/wonder stables/seedlings/boxes as rewards: mostly very disappointing, I´d prefer to know in advance what I´ll receive
Cloud row: they aren´t appealing to me anymore, as long as there isn´t an adjustment to the various cooldown times and a possibility to harvest them without needing to click through 18 pages...

Bad idea to put cloud row in penultimate level. I only want the PF. If I had collected all the ep items required, I might have tried for the last level to get the cloud row. As it is I am almost finished and won't bother with last level.

 

Is there a reason why the drop items need to drop and such a ridiculously low rate? I harvested the magical glade without trophies and got 3(!) with trophies on the other fields I got 9 and 10. Really terrible drop rates.

 

I love the decoration on the farm, the town and around the screen. A little less dark on the main land would make it easier to see the crops during the day.
The crops are pretty. With the creepy creepers it was difficult to see where the plots are/end. The glowshrooms are a keeper.

With the seedlings and the stables is my hope that they are special once and not common, like we buy with cc's.
A second " haunted sweet" would have been nice. So, that we don't need to decide where to place it.

A little less to produce would have been nice. Since not every body can lock on the computer that often. Or has a RL during Halloween.

Over all, I like it.

I think I have learned I need to wait to comment until the event is over or almost over.

As I said before, the graphics were/are really nice.
This event has "grown" on me. I am not quite sure if I will finish, due to work, but I actually like the fact that if I do win the cloud row, I will automatically have the other items that make it work.

Are the amounts of product "worth" it? I am not sure what comparison to use. I like the harvest helpers, because my time is limited. Other things, I guess I just see as part of the game. I try to get "stuff", because its there.

 

I am not going to finish this event, partly because RL is too demanding at present but also because the cloud row is not the ultimate prize and I hate having part or unfilled rows. The drops have been fine for me but having to grow large numbers of 4 and 6 hour crops does not appeal - an 8 hour crop with less required is better, as this can be grown overnight.
EP prize based on level is very good, much fairer.
I still think event crops grown on the island should give BEP.
I prefer the Farmers Society layout for an event so that I can choose what bits to do.
The graphics are excellent as usual but I agree with others here, that the main field is too dark to see clearly - those harvesting by hand must be finding it very difficult.
Overall not very excited by this one.

 

I enjoyed this event very much. I may be one of the oddballs who liked having a 4 and 6 hour crop for a change. The 8 hr ones were like watching paint dry for me I finished a couple of days ago My granddaughter loves the teddybear and just giggles when she sees it I couldn't find a post for the stables but I am beside myself!! I got a RED Cookware Forge! And I had just built one bc I figured I would never win one I also got a orange horse stable and a dove (my first) I am very happy!! p.s. Should I tell anyone how many times I checked and rechecked to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me?

 

One last comment, really a general event comment.

Event items raised in Baharama ought to earn Baharama points, rather than general ones. (did not realize it was otherwise)

 

I really enjoyed the event
I like cloud rows and stickers, so the prizes were great for me
To top it all off, one of my prize stables was the rooster, so I'm really pleased as I didn't have one

Liked the animated event window Otherwise ok

 

Turns out, this event was fun and pretty easy to complete!

I like the idea of having all fields.
Just the drops were a little hard but
still got them all.
