Strategie Comic 6

I have completed the timed step, gotten my blueprints, built my workshops and fed them. Back to growing glitter poppy crops.

 

To everybody who had issues with the timer of the event:

If I understand correctly, BP will be running a script tomorrow that will finish step 1 and give the full rewards. So if you had problems,you can stop worrying about the time and stop eating any more buffs, if you haven't already used them.

At this point I am actually considering throwing out some chicken pens for now just to sell the manure.

 

Just harvested my third batch of crops - glitter poppies that had been treated with supergrow and suzy's supergrow as well as my buffs (CB, ZAB, EM). Have a total of 47,255 EP so far so have planted my last batch (glitter poppies with supergrow, water, suzy's supergrow an aforementioned buffs) so they should be done in just over 3 hours (just before 8pm here). Then I'll hand off my eggs to Gertrude for the 48 hour harvester prize I've been saving for an event such as this one, rip up all my 2x2 plots and replace with 1x1s, plant glitter poppies overnight with no water (won't be using water at all with 1x1 plots) and harvest them with CAC in the morning.
Currently have 2118 sneezeworts and 1505 glitter poppies (not counting those that I've just planted). Hoping my drops will increase with 1x1s especially if I move around my trophies, as my drop rate is awful - only have 204 in total. Thanks to those who sent me extra drops and much needed CB

 

I think Baw's tired crept up on me too... Found myself unable to hang out and wait for crops earlier, went to bed, woke up feeling like someone tried to twist my head off but was able to finish room 1 and 2 right after waking up. wasn't thinking straight and replanted all fields before I went to city and built sail shop. between glitches and my own non thinking it's a wonder I've seen any progress today. lol

As others have stated thank you so much Mir, Aluntino, Mooboy, CJAT, for your efforts to help all of us understand this event! Hope I didn't miss anyone, If I did please know it isn't intentional.

 

Got both my sailmakers up and running on both my farms. Now it seems like a normal event. At least I hope so.

After that I need 1 more 4 hour crop and 3 more of the 8 hour poppies.

Did the same as Joyce - harvested planted then built my workshops so that they can sit in the inventory while I wait for the Sneezeworts to mature! I haven't had the time to read all through this thread and CJAT's but do I understand correctly that the last level requires our Sail Makers Workshops? Thought we could keep them as long as we didn't delete them. Not that I want to keep them, just curious.

Anyway, did first two levels, now need to wait until I build some Sails ... oh and also wait while the drops catch up enough to donate to the next stage!

Chevrefeuille is not far behind, the next harvest should see me finish the timed event and I have enough to do the first level build and instal my Sail Makers Workshops. I will not make the same mistake twice, I will not make the same mistake twice, I will not make the same mistake twice ...

Edit (again!): Only just noticed that we need 15,000 Poppies and 10,000 Sneezewort! Nearly made a drastic error in planting strategy lol!

I am lost, can't see what we do with eggs?? Must re-read Event FAQ's yet again... I'm lost on this one! Have finished Level 1 and working on level two - I do find this one VERY confusing.
Edit.. Forget that comment about eggs - just worked out that someone needed them for the egg comp to get harvester... I think. Still confused though

 

Boho - what eggs? If you were talking about Squiggle's post, she is going to finish off the Gertrude's Eggs FSQ to get the harvester. Other than that, I know nothing about eggs (though with my track record regarding this event, that's not news!).

 

Just finished first level. Have planted 8 hour overnight crop on 1x1s that fill my fields. Will apply CAC to this in the morning, harvesting using harvester. As this used up lots of the glitter poppies I don't quite have enough to finish second level yet, but will in the morning. Then I can build the three sail workshop thingies.

Sorry about the confusion with eggs, BohoKaren - there are no eggs required for this event. I have simply been saving the last level of the Gertrude Quest for an occasion when I would need the harvester. I need to donate eggs to finish the level of that Farmer's Society Quest.

 

If you don't finish the event you can keep the sail shops as long as you don't delete them, but the windmill sails will be exchanged for ep+cc. If you finish it, in the last step you trade in your 3 sail shops for 3 sail factories. The sail factories are permanent mole workshops producing party sails You can already see the spot for party sails in the market.

After you finished level 1, it is actually quite simple I summarized it for sglick here



Just want to remind everyone that the sail shops are workshops and the running time can be reduced with church bouquet, guava jam or gingerbread Mine are up and running

 

I started the timer and I harvested the glitter poppies and I got 14.850 EP, I think is a good start
I have now planted sneezewort (I use 1x1 fields)

squiggle - how many poppies do you have? how many sneezeworts? Have you/will you convert the entire farm to 1x1? How many harvest per day can you do? I remember you are studying so are you available during the day to harvest? I seem to remember you said you will not use water on the 1x1 (or did I make a mistake?) Absolutely water everything! It is not expensive and it will save you quite a bit of time. Depending on your answers, will depend on what strategy you can use to reach 15k.

 

I am assuming that you are still working with 620 1x1 (155 2x2 converted to 1x1). That would bring your total glitter poppies to

1505+620= 2125

In those 48 hours you should get 6 harvests of glitter poppies, using CAC: 620*3*6=11 160

After those 48h you should have a total of 13 285 GP and 2118 SW. I would then suggest to switch to 1x2 fields and still use CAC. Then each harvest will give you 310*4=1240 crops. You will then need 6.4 harvests of SW and 1.4 harvests of GP, see calculations:

(10000-2118 )/1240= 7882/1240 = 6.4
(15000-13285)/1240 = 1715 = 1.4

Does this seem doable? If you can harvest often during those 48h, you might be able to get 1 or 2 harvests of sneezewort in addition to the 6 harvests of glitter poppies. That would make a big difference.
