but seriously? The cloud row only works if you finished earlier quests? Well, that puts me out, since I have none of them.

Even so, this is the first cuckoo event that actually seems worth bothering with. I really would like those pink and red shelters! (though I can see the prices dropping as everyone boosts their production .. ah well) Thanks for the advice.

 

Finished all my PF on this farm: need two Cuckoo Bees and one Punkoo to finish the Cuckoo Secets and just one Cuckoo Bee to finish Cuckoo for Cuckoos. The first two quests are lagging a bit but they'll get done eventually!

 

In the FAQ it say the CR gives 15 BEP x Farm level....well when I set it up last night I thought the amount didn't seem right so I re-checked this morning.
I'm level 92 ...15*92=1380 but I harvested 3495 ? Then I figured out I'm level 233 on Baha ....233*15=3495. So harvesting that twice a day or every 8 hours would be 6690 BEP's ....much better than I expected.

Didn't know if I was the only one who had it figured this way.

If that's the case, then the cloud row is definitely worth getting.

But, still, for those -like me- who don't have any of the 3 previous editions items, the sheer amount of PF needed just to get them puts me off.

Anyway, now I know that, calmly, when I can -certainly not during this edition-, after several bountiful intercessions of St. Skips, I'll try to get it.

The earlier quests required are still available. They are the earlier Cuckoo quests which you should be able to go back and work on.

 

Somehow I completed this Quest !
I followed the suggestion to get the Bee Cuckoo Rune and proceeded.
The skips were nothing to write home to Mom about, in fact I had a hard time in my first session of breeding any Punkoo's
I came back after my R/L job and proceeded to get all the rest that I needed, with some excess, and completed the last levels/tasks.

Remember: Obstacles are what you see... Once you take your eyes off the objective

 

I have finished Cuckoo Secrets and Cuckoo for Cuckoos. Yay!

I need 5 Punkoos for Covert Cuckoos and have only finished the first levels of Cuckoo Kids but, if I get lucky with my working hours at the next Cuckoo Breeding event (and I save enough PF), I should finish those.

 

So, with a last little flutter I got the required Punkoo and finished Cuckoo Secrets. I am just having one final fling with two hotels before finishing completely. And the results are ... no skips and barely twins! Oh well, roll on next time!

 

Ah.. OK. That's reasonable, then, though I don't think I will be getting them any time soon... : )
Even so, I still have enjoyed the earlier levels of this one. Normally I work on other breeding and just forget the cuckoos.

 

As a new-bee in the Cuckoo Event, I needed to see which is most beneficial to go for. I noticed that the latest Cuckoo Events require less than the older ones. Which one or ones to go for? Well, I had to do a spreadsheet to find out which ones I can accomplish on a first try:

What I decided to do was to play to the end without trading the cuckoos in. When the event is about over, then I can decide which ones I can finish off (I need stars so accomplishing 3 of each task gives me 6 stars).

Maybe this might be helpful for other new farmers in deciding what to accomplish.

Blazie - I have completed (all levels, Silver, Gold and Diamond) all the cuckoo events here on this farm and I used:

Cuckoo Kids - 1182 PF
Covert Cuckoos - 796 PF
Cuckoo for Cuckoos - 808
Cuckoo Secrets - 424 PF

Others have reported less PF used and better skips. I do not usually get very good skips. You do not have to do all the event in order to scoop up some nice prizes. You will get some skips that will make your required amount of PF less than your chart. Good luck!

 

Your figures may be understated. For each high level you need 4 of the previous level, and that level's. (assuming no skips)
So for 18 Punkoos you need 72 Mustachioeds...

The updated information regarding the CR has me thinking...I'm doing a little breeding, nothing too intense. I agree that they seem to have turned off the "skips" button. My best was one punkoo from regulars, but little else. Blargh, not very inspiring.

I know where I went wrong! I put the total times 2 PF's. But really it should be the total divided by 2. I guess mentally it was just 2 years younger. Lol!

 

Do these figures include the new bee cuckoos that we need for the latest parts?

 

I just need 1 more bee cuckoo to finish the latest quest. Not going to work for it as I am low on PF, the other two I have received from skips so am hoping to do the same for the third one.

My only source of powerfeed really is actually winning it from these events, so I may not be able to go much longer, probably won't finish the whole thing. But if these events continue to be available in the future then I should be able to build up my PF for next time and continue plugging through.

 

Bee-cuckoos are really hard to get, at least for me. With all the cuckoo breeding I have done in the two last editions, I've got absolutely none, zero, nil.

[Though, I must say I got some awesome skips today in non-cuckoo breeding: the star, a Mirage camel from 4 plain ones, but it was not alone -also astonishing skips in bees, cows (a Cowgirl from 4 plain ones) and some really good ones with pandas-. Cuckoos are the problem: my invocation to St. Skips seems to have been listened: is it that "cuckoo" is not listed in his holy dictionary?].

So, I'm starting to think I won't be able to get the pink duck shelter (I've already gotten the B-EP-yielding item, this morning).

But I did some of the tasks of past editions so that to start the path to get their items. But, big problem, I need 4 bee-cuckoos just for past edition's level 6...., in addition to the one I need for the pink duck shelter and the one needed for getting the cloud row. 7 bee-cuckoos: 6 too many, it seems.... LOL.

I'm glad for all those that have been able to get them. And I wish the best of lucks to all.

 

I will possibly be willing to trade my pink duck shelter for something else if anybody's willing to do a trade at the next G&T.

EDIT: duck pen is allocated to another player already. Sorry do have a few other coloured pens if anyone wants a trade though.
