Chestnut Festival Strategy

TOP 1000: For those who don't know what it is:

If you finish the 7 regular steps in the event, you can continue to donate almost whatever you want from your barn (not tools or artisan products). The 1000 farmers who donated the most, wins the Top 1000 goodie box. What counts is the exchange value of what you donate, it is the amount shown in the barn. You can of course also donate event crops and drops

This means that exchange value for sunchokes is 20 and that the exchange value for a chestnut munchkin is 120. This is how much they count when you donate them to the top 1000 step. But as Mooboy said above, donating extra drops and growing extra sunchokes count so little, that it makes no difference.

Warning: Everything you donate to top 1000 is gone forever. If you are not among the top 1000, all is lost and you get no reward for this step. So unless you are well prepared: don't do it!

Last year, the last person to make it into the top 500 (before it has only been 500) donated stock worth at least 173 million cc in exchange value. 173 million corresponds to over a million maple saps, just to make an example. The top 10 donated far far more. There are players who prepare for this the whole year. So again, unless you are prepared for such numbers, don't do it!

Has anyone here successfully been among the top 500?

 

My mind just boggles at all the figures. This clearly is not an event for someone who just started. I am happily sitting it out.

But, for those who do end up winning the top 1000, Hats off to you guys. Your dedication shows.

Well, Well...
The annual donation event arrive. One day earlier than the monthly calender
I look at the FAQ, so tiny the words make me look very carefully the amount of
donation. When I look at the new item: breeding animal. I look twice if I had
miscount the numbers. Are you kidding me. It's 850000 for 1st then over millions
for last lv. How come BP set this figures...
Will I used my breeding animals to finished this. LV 4, I may try, but that's all.
If LV 7 give us 2million EP, I will consider, But no, it just give you 200000 EP with
8 rose jam & one deco to let you able to finished the cloud row.
This time. I don't get any temptation from this event.
Do I love the cloud row. yes, at beginning, then 96 hr coolong time. make my brain
really cool down.
It's 96 hours. 4 Days. even it will let me get 9000BEP, I won't buy it this time.
I could easily get more than this in Van Ramme's FHO which renew every 24 hrs.

So, I will done to LV 6, I could grow 6600 lessen event crop & need lessen 200 drops.
Oh, this will be a much easy event for me.
Especially I don't need to struggle if I should donate something to the :
Top 1000 bottomless pool.

lbarker & Mir, thanks for the correct numbers. I'm awake now. Got my farms started. And edited my first post.

Mir, thanks for that list of bred animal EV. That will save me a lot of time.
I esp love that I was able to copy the text to my Notepad file.

I think the little nut critters are adorable. Hope the squirrels don't see them.

For lower level players. Carrots generate the most EV/hour of any crop you might grow now. I only took my list as far as pumpkins... watermelon and pumpkins are good longer time crops. I think my numbers, done a couple of years ago, were done without accounting for the use of water. Buffs change everything. If one is buying... as already mentioned roses will probably be a good buy in any market. They will probably yield the highest EV/CC spent. Mine are organically grown and quite lovely, even at inflated event prices.

Now I'll start working on my numbers for which critters to use and which bred animals... I intend to do the 7 levels but NOT the Top 1000.

I have passed on the first three Top 500 events available to me. I was thinking about it this year, but real life... I really don't have the dedication to a game needed. I want to reiterate players have been saving for this ALL YEAR. And many of them are willing to spend REAL MONEY to qualify. Not me. On the other hand... as long as you're using imaginary items and imaginary coins, no big deal.

Are there regular forumites that have made it to Top 500, yes. They don't post much anymore.

I have been using the Old forum, since i Started the Game. Yagki is the only Player remaining that actually completed The First Festival Event, as Yagki is still my Neighbour. As I recall it the Prize was Golden Acorn. I am not sure it is still listed in Index FAQ.

That Event Must have been Easier to complete for Yagki as there was not so many Players playing the game as it was quiet a new game Therefore Less Competitors in Top 500. Since Since then No English Forum Farmers was able to remain in the Top 500.

Like SuzeeRabbit and I and some other oldies if they are still around playing this game but not use forum or chat now

 

I won't even try to get into the top 1000.
I'm not that crazy to risk all my CC for just 100% more BEP...

 

Although I'm sitting this event out, I have to concur with others that you shouldn't start the top 1000 unless you're prepared. Also, don't donate to any level until you've got everything you need.

 

Hey Brookeham I am hearing you are going for it. I would Think sensible if i was you, as you would need very Healthy Barn full of Stuff to Donate also Happy to spend millions of cc to buy fruits to donate into Top 1000. But only if you have managed to unlock Level 7 of this Event.

Solotime I would wait and see how many farmers would be willing to go for it as Many Farmers are pulling out of this Event as it only just started, At least Perhaps just do Level 1 of this event which is easy to do. if it turns out that many are not going to even consider completing Level 7 as it will be need 2,450,000 Exchange Value of Breeding Animals.

By this Stage 4,200,000 Barn Exchange Values allows you to Enter the Top 1000, I Think I will unlock the Chestnut Festival Cloud Row, as Any Bahm EP is Better than no Bahm EP. This Cloud Row Appeals to those who use Super Grow, using it was White Innocents to help you have ahead start with Event Crops using Super Grow....It will also helps those using Super Grow during MM Events too. For Those who have Breeding Animals to Donate towards Soups and Friends Quest. You will be rewarded with loads of Super Grow so this Cloud Row would give you extras 5% Effectiveness of Super Grow aswell as using it with Fruit Loaf, White Innocents and Growth Boost Rune.

When you are not using Super Grow you can put Chestnut Farmer in the Shipwreck for Bahm EP can boost more BEP using Buffs, As I will put Chestnut Farmer in the Park which gives 2000CC every Twelve Hours. As Farm EP has less use for me since i am level 93 farmer

Hopefully with Make some CC selling some Breeding Animals and Animals and Rare low Value Fruits which sells for good CC

I think someone has already corrected you above. For completing the 7 levels you need stuff worth 4200000 in ExV terms, not 2850000.

Of those who post with some regularity in this forum, the one to have made it last year into the Top500 was escalonilla -position 224 in list posted above by zerodegrees-. He lately posts rather rarely here.

 

Aluntino, I went through the list from last year. Like you I recognized escalonilla I also recognized one player from the German forum, and one farmer from my market! I actually bought quite a lot from this farmer recently.

 

I'm a higher level player and am disturbed by how many of our events are now aimed at breeding animals... seems like a pretty blatant way to make sure we are all spending money on power feed to get any where near where we need to be. In the mean time I am going to try my best to get something out of it, despite the incredibly high demands!

 

It is the Middle of The Night Here, woke up to harvest my event crops, Now all fields are 1x1 filled with Sunchoke, using water and manure while manure is cheap. I have 233 Chestnut Munchkins so far so it is relative easy getting the 620 that is needed for this event now only need another 4 Harvests of Sunchoke.

When I got the Sunchoke out of the Way will put out Roses in Three of The Fields, On The Island I will put out all Mate Trees, but I wish they were All XXL Mate Trees, Anyway I will Use Pineapple Cake which Gives +1 on all Tropical Fruit Trees

I can put out 186 Mate Trees x 4 Fruits +1 Using PAC = 316,200 Tree Fruit Value that if I go for Top 1000, I do it Just in Case as I have no shortage on anything on the island that needs growing Badly....I Hope to Squeeze in Two Harvests of Roses in between each harvest of Mate Trees. This will certain speed up the Remaining Chestnut Munchkins so i get my total up to 620 then i can donate all of the Needed Crops,Fruits, Animals and Breeding Animals.....See if i am the first to Enter the Top 1000 just for a laugh....Oh by the way did you say dont be daft to me....mmm....you dont have to donate anything at this stage....Or I donate 100.000 worth of Barn stocks to see how long i stay in Top 1000 LOL

What to do with Stars/Surplus Stars

This is a way of helping to those who not got enough Breeding Animal Exchange Values to Help Complete this Event, or find it to expensive to buy in the Markets.

I have over 3000 surplus Stars as I am going to use some stars that i have not yet unlocked only Advise to unlock the ones that is not related to Soup and Friends Quest

But There are Three Breeding Animals such as Gorilla,Mummy Camel and Sushi Panda, that Needs GB to unlock these as GB is very rare and Valuable

I will List These Breeding Animals, It Exchange Value and How Many Stars it needs to unlock Them OK

• Mini Hen Exchange Value (63,000), Stars = 40

• Vampire Bat Exchange Value (140,000), Stars = 50

• Flying Goat Exchange Value (85,000), Stars = 40

• Convict Crow Exchange Value (120,000), Stars = 55

• Rubber Duck Exchange Value (92,000), Stars = 40

• Roasting Turkey Exchange Value (100,000), Stars = 40

• Snuggly Sheep Exchange Value (100,000), Stars = 40

• Snowy Rabbit Exchange Value (83,000), Stars = 40

The strategy is to:

Give the event requirements as easily available,
Shut the windmills down,
Plant lettuce and sugarcane and let them turn to weeds,
Remove everything from the park (Never opened the stalk),
Take everything off the market,
Go on a shopping spree and spend up all the ccs and have exactly -0- CCS

The same time will donate to the group to play (one condition below)

Have exactly -0- ccs and flat broke again at the end of play.

Collect that 1,000,000 ccs and give it to the farmwife tlcmom
Trash the rest of the stuff.

The sole condition of this farm playing now:

If number 1000 does not have at least 100,000,000 in exchange value on the playground then

Don't think I want to be a part of that bunch and will not play with them.
