I have been looking for the Top 1000 Board - where is it?

How is this possible? How can they have finished the first seven levels - 16,650 crops in less than 24 hours? I want to know their secret! :inlove:

Go to the event window, and click were it says Top 1000 Farmers :) There is an issue with the scroll bar, so if it doesn't work, click on the board (on a name) and use your mouse to scroll. There are now 25 who have entered, the last one has donated 1 cc in exchange value :D How? I am guessing loads of super grow and suzy's super grow; just for the sake of it :p

I am Surprised that there is 5 Farmers in Top 5 of Top 1000 Already, so far only 5 out 1000 They must have used lots of super grow to super up the needy Event Crops getting 16650 can be done very quickly using Supergrow.

But How did they get the 620 Chestnut Munchkins so Quickly They Must of brought the Basket Offers and Chestnut Bundle from the Store. Certainly Very Big Spender such as k.tynka who is Number 1 in Top 1000, who is currently the Game 5th All Time Farmer !!!

I think This Explains it Illy....Plus Must have used Super Trees or Comfort Fields, Before the Event Started these can really Boost your Drop Rates as I have Tried it with Super Trees.

Aluntino Yes you are right that we did have Escalonilla Who Completed the Top 500 last Year, I Bet Escalonilla is now Kicking itself as the Top 1000 Prizes is way better than last year. The Two Previous Years 2012 and 2011 Top Prize was 50% EP Giver last 15 mins Reset Time was 24 Hours 2011 was called Squirrel with Acorn, 2012 was called Beaver Baker

Mooboy, there are actually 25 :D

And, it is not too hard with super grow & suzy's super grow. From 2x2 with suzy's super grow and CAC you get 8 sunchokes. So you only need 2080 2x2's to get to 16650 sunchokes. If you have some mammut trees that is not hard to get. I had over 1000 super grow myself earlier this fall. Like you said, with comfort fields before start, and growing the 16650 crops, I don't think it is hard to get 620 drops :)

Edit: And using 3300 SG and SSG on 1x1 fields, you get there even faster ;)

I think that is so crazy amazing to get so many drops and crops in such a short time! (Wow!) It makes me wonder if there wasn't a few players having their own little personal competition of who was going to get on the board first! :DxD

I decided I would shamelessly, stop by and put in a plug for a couple friends... :D

For those of you who do not know farmer_broke, he has a very wry sense of humor...
    As you can tell from above, his method of playing the game is completely and totally different than anything I have ever seen! (He is simply wonderful to hang out with in chat though!) :) He his own unique style and goals for the game. I will not claim to be an expert, but from what I have gleaned in his current money making thread (the one on the old forum was more like a manual and an excellent read!), but basically he buys and sells on the market and is "always broke" because he has spent all his CCs on the market! (Of course when one buys things cheap, one can then turn around with barns full of stuff to sell later "when the price is right") I also have kinda gleaned that his farm strategy includes... not farming! {{gasp, choke, dead faint}}
    ;)xD
He is a delightful guy if you can "get' his humor. ;) Having said that, I strongly recommend you disregard his particular strategy (above) unless you plan to farm just like him lol! (He does need event drops ~ I'm guessing he never built up his farm trophies). So, if you are so inclined to send him some...

~edit~ Opps! Sorry... a bit of misinformation on my part. It seems that Debbie1725 has actually decided against going for the top 1000. As mentioned in my post here, she does thank everyone for their support and encouragement! :D

If I remember correctly, she missed the top 500 last year by a million EV.

Is there anyone else going for the top 1000? If so, how can we help you??

Thanks everybody. I took a walk and while taking the air, I realised that if somebody had or bought a stash of SG and Suzi's, and also bought enough baskets to fill all the fields, it would take a very short time to get to the required crop level - about eight harvests and it's done! Phew - and staying awake all night if you are on this side of the globe lol! xD

Good luck all those going for it!;)

Some of us are prepared to do this and we have the support of many who are not / cannot.

Mooboy, count me in on the playground provided the 1000th listed donator has at least 100,000,000 in exchange on the board. I see you are checking your barn to decide. I'll keep to my minimum standards unless my farmwife advises otherwise.

CJAT thanks so much for your kinds words. People like yourself provided me all the motivation I needed to prepare. Believe I am prepared and selling to those who are preparing at the last minute. There are market and game direction effects of this type of event. Perhaps we may discuss after the event ends in another thread.

Waiting to hear from Debbie too. We discussed how to prepare long long ago.

    Thanks Thanks Thanks

I am full of anxiety this mourning! I don't know what to do. I have not felt this uncertain of my actions in a very very very long time. So what is my delima? You ask. Do I donate all my breeding animals to get a so so cloud row and all the trimmings or do I finally tell my sever FOCD to take a hike?????? I am so confused.

Yesterday, I pulled out my rusty not so trust worthy calculator to see how much my breeding animals were worth.I was 316,000 short from completing both levels so I bought 3 breeding animals for 1/2 a million. - 1/2 a million to complete an event. Eee-gads! Instead of a slap on the forehead - where's that sledge hammer? I have finished levels 1 & 2, and I am still growing the event crops while I decide. The force of the FOCD is very strong, but so is my cheap practical side. Who will win is still very much up in the air.

I wish you the best of lucks, farmer_broke. I'll try to send you the munchkin things from my farms (I've just tried but you've already got to the daily 20 limit). You'll for sure enter: stuff worth 100M in ExV terms are like bread crumbles on the tablecloth for those who do play the Top500 (till last year)/1000 (this year). And you'll make it, of course.

As for me, needless to say, I won't even try with 1 lettuce....LOL.

Mir, thank you and I must make a correction. While writing I received 10 drops from one of our friends here. 10!

No minimum donation standards anymore. Regardless of what the 1000th individual has on the playground, I only hope they are prepared to play.

Mir, I'm casually growing the crops. No hurry hurry here. Manure is getting too expensive and I'm broke. ;)

Aluntino, thank you for all of your help. Your thoughts with me certainly helped to guide my actions.

Did you say not 1 lettuce? LOL See, just that makes me want to grow lettuce everywhere. I think I'll do that after the event and take 23 hours to harvest it.

    Sincerely, thank you

WARNING: Since there have been some words elsewhere that reached me that what I explain is not easy to understand or I'm now a guy into "details" who tells how to build a clock when asked for the time, skip this post if you feel that way. It's OK for me, of course: I post this for those who may care to read a different way of seeing the main problem at hand in this event: how to get the needed bred animals without harming your stocks or your chances with the Soup quest.

For those who may be wondering, I've already completed the 1st bred animals level and plan to complete the second one with a compound cost for both (if I bought the animals from my mkt) of 3,56M CCs. That is, at a CCs/ExV ratio = 1,4525.

To fund that, I'm selling bred animals that are showing -in present my mkt conditions- a CCs/ExV ratio > 3 (that is, MktPrice/ExV = CCs/ExV ratio). In fact, in some categories, I'm selling very nicely at ratios >8, even almost 12 (albino crows).

So, simply put, I suggest to sell bred animals that show a CCs/ExV ratio > 3 to fund the purchase of bred animals that show a CCs/ExV ratio < 1,5 (there are still at least 10 categories in my mkt showing this last low ratio; namely -starting from lowest ratio-: medifish, ninja bee, fire donkey, gorilla, haflinger, knight horse, vampire bat, to name a few all below a ratio of 1,75).

This means that I'm selling albino crows at a ratio of almost 12 (it's just an example from my mkt, the extreme case: it's not the only thing I'm selling) to fund the purchase of medifishes at a ratio of 1,39 (also the extreme lower case).

In fact, I'm not buying to donate. But I used the ratios to define what to donate: I chose what would translate into the smallest loss if I chose to sell that in mkt.

Considering those ratios, anyone can easily find the best combination for your mkt to, at the same time, complete the bred animals levels and still strengthen your bred animals stock (or avoid to touch whatever affects the Soup quest); in other words, to do it without actually spending a single net CC: on the contrary, earning them.

very quick, finished Lv3, going forward is facing donation of breeding animal
850000 breeding animal is really much. I started to think if I should give up,
Just say goodbye to chestnut festival.
I feel pain to donate my breeding animals. I will used up all my saved Albino
bat, brown pig, those Haflinger & speckled goat come from jumbo stable, & that's
only 620000 value, I still need to give away 230000 vlaue. I look at event FAQ
once again. look once again on the prize.
OK, toolbox is no more attractive as I had build enough cookware. CAC, I could make
it, mulch, Oh, I got lot of them (891), since I already make up my mind not to do LV 7,
the deco is meaningless. I don't get any space for them except my barn.
    OK. analysis finsihed.
I don't need to grow anymore event crop & don't care about drop anymore.
I officially declare that I had finished my participate on CHestnut Festival event:D

edit: after I post, I see Aluntino's post. I don't play much on market, I still
trying to digest Aluntion's ratio, My math's had return to my teachers long ago.
I think for 60 seconds. Then I decided. I keep my mind. Stay away from the
event. May sell some breed animals But won't buy any for donation.

I hope you also know that some of us very much appreciate learning to build clocks ;)

I am doing almost the same, but I didn't have many breeding animals to start with. And the ratio for all of them were >2, so I have sold off most of them. I bought all the breeding animals I needed at ratios between 1.5 and 1.75. There were some better offers in the beginning, but I didn't have the cc to buy them.
