I've finished! For the record: I use SSG, SG, Water and manure on the first 10 seeds but only water after that. I use 1x1s only in the glade and only for days 2, 3, 4. I never move my trophies (12,9). I do prime my fields for drops the first harvest with whatever long term crop I need more of. I do use CAC as much as possible and PJ if I run out.

I did have to raise a few of the animals but thankfully had them in hand before the end of day 1.

Hello. Man I am so frustrated. I finally got enough crops to finish the santapalooza quest, but I didn't get enough hats (especially) or presents. How are we supposed to finish a quest? Is there some ways to get more of the special drop objects? Eight hours left in the quest, but it is nine O'clock my time and I have to head to bed. Even if I stayed up, I couldn't get enough of the drop items I need. So, like I said, really bummed. Maybe someone can help me understand what to do to finish one of these quests and this one seemed easier.

    Hey everyone,
I was wondering about this Cloud row. Is it worth to unlock it if you have all the items for the row?

I don't quiet understand how this buff for workshop time works as I never used one. Most of the workshops produce time is over 10 hours, so how does this 5% counts? For example, Koi pond - 48 hours. I put this pond and I harvest the buff from the row. The produce time becomes less, but when the buff end, what's then?

I'm seeking for teh answer, because the event ends and I can choose between unlocking the Cloud row or finishing the 1st and 2nd steps for gold and diamond stars.

Finished on both farms, Illy finished yesterday and Chevre was nearly there after the first harvest this morning, just lacking two Holiday Presents - then I noticed I hadn't harvested my Glade! I was bombarded with Santa Hats and Holiday Presents! Yay! :D

Good luck everyone still going for it. :)

Sorry to hear you're not well, Baw. Take good care of yourself. ;)

for example if workshop produce in 100 minutes
when you harvest cloud row buff and then feed workshop with animal the production time will reduce by 5 minutes i.e 5 %.
with water and rune it will decrease further

Thanks for trying to help. I know math, but what I can't understand is what happens if buff ends and your workshop is not yet ready to harvest.
You gave example of 100 minutes, but most of them are over 20 hours of produce time (if I understood right that workshop is the pen that produces products, not animals).

So, Koi pond, 48 hours, I put it on the field and I harvest buff. It has no effect? (because buff ends earlier)
Or should I wait until workshop time left is less than 10 hours and then harvest the buff?

Sorry, maybe I have misunderstood anything, so I want to be clear. And I haven't found anything in FAQ about how these buff's work

i was just giving you examples
    i know workshop produce products

    take this
when you activate gingerbread it reduce production time no matter if ur gingerbread buff expire u still have reduce time for workshop
same is for this cloud row buff
when u harvest cloud row buff , during the time of that buff all workshop activated will have 5% less production time
when the buff ends after 10 hours, it will have no effect on your workshop time

Hi, cactus_lemonade, you could find answer on event FAQ,
the cloud row last for 10 hr & cooling time is 16 hr, that mean when you click on the cloud row to activate it, 16 hr later, you could click again to get the buff.
Is it useful, Of course. Unless you don't produce product yourselves. the 5% is very much even for
short time workshop. And it become much more important for those long production time workshop
like koi pond. 5% lessen mean's you reduce 2.4 hr.
What that mean. You could save 2.4hr. You could refeed yr Koi pond earlier or remove yr koi pond
2.4 hr earlier. Think about you got 10 workshop (same kind or mix type doesn't matter)just activate
the cloud row, all yr workshop will save 5% time.

    For simple explanation (mantra) :

harvest the cloud row buff / eat crafting product that reduces growing time -> then feeding animal pens / workshops.

    Hope it helps.

Do not feeding animal pens / workshops first, and then you harvest cloud row buff! It has no effect on your current time, but will be next time as long as buffing periods...

Thanks to all of you, everything is absolutely clear now!

I got the row, I know how to use it and I'm happy. This is my first themed row for which I have all items.
And this was very easy event if you got all the drops. I didn't get all of them, but a little work on increasing living legend rune percent (now 24%) and I'll be there next time!

I ended up buying 150 packages to finish the cloud row and the items. I just wasn't getting the drops on the crops like usuall. I harvested 3 fields of carnations and got 110 socks and 40 packages for my final crops. I had more than enough jute several days before the end and concentrated on roses and carnations for the drops. I only finished silver on level 1 and 2, but all parts on the rest.

I don't know how many of these you've tried, but in future:
    • Post in the SOS thread for the event drops. For this event, the relevant thread was SOS Holiday Presents and Santa Hats/Santapalooza Event Drops. People will send you event drops (you can get up to 20 per day) which might help lighten the load a little
    • Plant using 1x1 plots and CAC. Using the CAC will increase your crop yield (therefore helping you to get all the necessary crops) and by using 1x1 plots you can both maximise your CAC use and have as many drops as possible. You are more likely to get drops from 122 1x1 plots than 44 2x2 plots.
    • If you finish the quest with a few hours left (except for drops) plant the highest possible crop that will be completed within the remaining time. This will maximise the number of drops you get when you harvest the crop
    • If you have trophies, move them around from field to field before harvesting. This way the higher chance of getting drops is applied to all fields
    • If you do use 2x2 plots (at least at first, this is recommended, until you have enough crops to fill the 1x1 plots), fill in the gaps with trees or 1x1 plots with crops, so that those spaces aren't going to waste
    • If you have a magic tree, you can get 1 event drop (in this case, Santa Hats) per harvest.

Mir, I like your illustration about how much difference using water can make. In the past all I could think to say was... the faster you turn over your crops the more drops you can get. I like numbers better. ;)

I finished the whole event on all three farms. Then I got lazy. LOL. I don't think I harvested anything the last day. I finished with about 300 extra of each drop on Farms 1 & 3. A less than 200 extra on Farm 2 because of mistakes.

Congrats! to those who reached their goals. It's a learning process. And building up your farm. ;)
