Cookie event row may reduce need for pheromones???

I was just considering this new Cookie Event cloud row........... and what it means for animal breeding.

It reduces breeding by 20% for 12 hours(renewed every 24 hrs)....so with pink jelly, which reduces breeding time by 50%.....that's a total of 70% time savings!!!!

If you are a premium player(which I highly recommend) and get 1 pheromone placed for free....that makes each breeding cycle 35 minutes.

I hope I'm correct in my calculations.....please someone(smarter than me) confirm or deny this.
Because if this is right.....I will save lots of cc's on pheromones!!!!!

Active the Cookie Magical Stalk Row + eat Pink Jelly will reduces breeding time up to 70% time savings. We could be breeding the animal ONLY 30% regular base time.

• without unlocked #27 Quick breeder rune will be 0.3 multiplied by 6 hours = 1 hours and 48 minutes

use 1 pheromone : 54 minutes
use 2 pheromones : 27 minutes
use 3 pheromones : 13 minutes and 30 seconds
use 4 pheromones : 6 minutes and 45 seconds​

• with #27 Quick breeder rune will be 0.3 multiplied by 5 hours = 1 hours and 30 minutes

use 1 pheromone : 45 minutes
use 2 pheromones : 22 minutes and 30 seconds
use 3 pheromones : 11 minutes and 15 seconds
use 4 pheromones : 5 minutes and 37.5 seconds

I don't know how it will work, it is not clear But here is a more pessimistic view:

• Base time: 6hrs
• Rune: 5hrs
• Cloud row: 5hrs*0.8 = 4hrs
• Pink jelly: 4hrs*0.5 =2hrs
• 1. pheromone: 2hrs*0.5 = 1h
• 2. pheromone: 1h*0.5 = 30 min
• 3. pheromone: 30min*0.5 = 15min
• 4. pheromone: 15min*0.5= 7.5min

 

I used to login to one farm harvest, reset breeding pens. Logout. Do farm 2. Logout. Then farm 3. Repeat until out of PF. More recently I've been doing one farm until done. It seems less confusing for me.
I might go back to rotating the farms. And use two pheromones until break time. Between the stockings and skipping the last BBD and getting PF from the last breeding event... I have close to 600 PF right now. That's a lot for me.

I cannot afford to be a premium player but I can put the trees out if need be. I do have the cloud row that generates pheromones. That seems to be enough to keep the inventory up. I don't buy PF either which keeps my need for pheromones down. I expect the price of pheromones to drop as players use fewer. Another opportunity to save coins.

BTW: I suspect Mir's math is more accurate. It's in sync with mine anyway.

I was hoping this cloud row would put more of a dent into breeding time... without pheromones.

I guess, I will just slow down on breeding. I like to do my breeding(on BBD, of course) in spurts. Sit at the puter, do a few rounds and then go away for several hours(especially b/c it's usually the weekend). This is why I love pheromones...it speeds up the process and I don't have to keep checking every hour to 45 minutes.

 

I'll do a few rounds w/ lots of pheromones til I start getting stiff and sore then w/o pheromones, if I can remember, while I move around or eat.

BBD used to be one of the most fun things for me. Losing interest because the sitting for intense "quick" rounds is uncomfortable. But I still need to get it done as quickly as possible. To get it over with.

 

A little more I'll complete the quest and get this new Cookie Magical cloud row.
I will test and will inform you as soon as possible.

btw. I already unlocked Quick Breeder rune.

 

Suzee - Yes, that's why I like using pheromones so much.....but they've become so expensive....and I won't fill my whole farm with scent trees!!!

Now I'm more likely to use pheromones for the quick rounds, finish one farm, move on to another farm. Altho lots of times I like to use... 8-12 love shacks and push the results up, for certain events. Other times I just breed the basic critters using lots of love shacks and sell the results. Depending on how badly I want the upper level breeds and how much PF I have in stock.

Yes, with all the different reasons we need breeding animals now....PF is worth diamonds(more than gold)!!!
This is probably the reason pheromones prices have risen dramatically and stayed so high.

Has immediately increased prices of pink jelly and decreased offers on the market.

Pheromone price remains stable at this time. Greater quantity offers at around the same price though. Obviously the market indicates fall in pheromone use at this time.

 

I'm not sure what you mean... I only breed on BBDs.
