Me too, Mir. Well, different crops. Hibiscus and Coffee had been calling, but I was waiting for news. After reading the newsletter, off I zipped straight to the temple - I have had the last 2 levels of Shipwreck V stalled for weeks (a month or more, perhaps?), I will be so glad to unlock the final space! I felt as though the "early in the new year" reference in the producer's newsletter left quite a bit of room for leeway - I would consider anything in the first quarter to be "early." If not January, perhaps Feb or March? Anyhoo, I do hope I haven't seriously miscalculated. I am left with 60 GB after my shopping trip at the temple.
I too need the room for my newly sprouted baha-yielding flower garden. Smells like bananas. :inlove::inlove::inlove:

Edit: Aluntino, Thanks for the link/reminder. I just re-read Suzy's Baha products example and used it to make the calculations in my market. I have done so a few times before but rarely could be spurred to get off my duff and go through the motions of "exchanging" them. So this morning, with all the maths done for me by Suzy, I did sell a few of my MOS "fleet" to buy Red Punch...but then other things were calling me and I never bought the punch. The example does not address what I should do in this situation.
    xDxD Kidding, of course.

I'm very disappointed that the coral reef will not be released until January.:sleepy: I wish BP would at least give us a clue of what will be required to open it. Do we hoard GB's or not??? Will it take loads of baha products, crops, animals...or even stars????

Yes, Aluntino, I am also a huge fan of google translate!!! It makes surfing the other rumor mills sooo much easier!
I would have to agree with finishing all quests that reward BEP as quickly as you can!!!

Having Shipwreck bay open has been a godsend for my island and the main for that matter! It's a huge boost to daily ep!!!

I guess I will have to keep my patience hat on for a bit longer.:(

I am disappointed too that we still have no definite info about the coral reef. I understand development and testing can be delayed but the Newsletter in October said we would have a firm date this month. Now, 'early next year' in my mind leaves a lot of wiggle room, especially if the plan remains to launch it/ test it in only one country.

I have 73 GB and would like to open Sea grape trees. However, at 38 GB, it would leave me with a short turn around time to recover those GB invested if indeed it is early next year. I have completed all the island quests that I can without unlocking sea grapes. However, I will do as Aluntino suggests and make red punch/MOS (can't make choc pancakes) like a mad woman to save GB between now and then. I would rather delay opening something on my farm than open it and regret not being able to open the coral reef when it does arrive. I hope it is as great as it is being hinted as being.

Oh my gosh....I forgot that they were going to do a limited release(in Germany most likely)!!!! :wuerg:
Thanks pnp for reminding me of that!;) I expect that it's going to be fairly difficult to open....and will probably have stages like shipwreck bay did. Yes, let's hope it lives up to all this hype and long waiting time!:p

I am not so sure about Germany, I would think they might choose a country with fewer players. Less of a mess to clean up, when things go wrong :p

Well, I got 236 a couple of hours ago and I've already unlocked ginger...

I found that, when growing longer duration crops there -overnight, for instance- I'll be better off if I choose to grow green tea instead of ginger, and sell the first one to fund buying the latter. Green tea is right now selling at 150CCs each in my mkt whereas ginger is at 110CCs each: by growing green tea it'd be as if I were growing 22,7% more ginger (after considering the 10% sales tax) in 10% less time; in other words, it'll be like getting 36% more ginger from every single plot in the same time. That's a lot. And it'll really speed up my ability to do as much of the ginger quest as possible in less time --> more GBs/day in the end.

This is the kind of comparisons I always make to optimize output. It doesn't mean I won't grow ginger: I will, if it fits my schedule; but I'll more probably do what I've just summarized the rest of the time.

(The implicit rule I'm following for my GBs usage is to keep GBs stock at or near to 100 GBs all the time; next thing I'll unlock will be when I get back to 140 GBs or so -moringa tree-: it'll have to wait another 2 months, I reckon).

Honey, don't look like that! We'll buy a new boat soon.:inlove:

Sweetie:inlove:, if you wanna be prepared to play with the coral then fine with me.:music:
    We're gonna keep this simple.xD
When ya get to Baha check the barn and make sure there is at least 12,000 peanut butter and 15,000 feathers.-.-

Oh yeah, check the cruncher and drop in 4000 chickens and 2000 rabbits for the anaconda feed.:sleepy:
We won't have to go back to that dreadful place for a month.:)

Don't worry about the animals, the monkeys take care of things.:wuerg:

Buy some of that carpet cause I wanna recarpet the barn soon.>:(

And pick up some of those Bikinis on sale. You'll like that.:inlove:

And for Donkey sake, please don't start any of your gardening foolishness.
You always want me to harvest that junk.

We're pretty well stocked on stuff to buy stars to wish on, so don't buy too much.
You might buy some for our good neighbors though.:sleepy:

Luvs ya honey ... and don't play with those snakes over there.:inlove::inlove:

@ Aluntino I have been working on replicating Mir's spreadsheet and will have an Owl ready in 72 hours.
A Dragon and Unicorn are helping twice a day.
Upon further review I am bringing in approximately 44,000 BEPs daily and I am at Baha Level 97.
I am halfway to lvl 3 for the Spa.

Mir -- I have 6 flowers for Shipwreck Bay :sleepy: The only item/crop I do not have for Shipwreck Bay I is the Papaya's

Did you open monkey or camel breeding? I seem to recall that you were thinking about waiting to open them. Good luck!

Yes, Mir, what did you finally decide to do?

(By the way, the green tea for ginger strategy I described before is working beautifully: for some reason I don't know -and I can't imagine, except for typical wealth-destroying underbidding and comparable lack of demand, probably due to more players with green tea unlocked-, in my mkt, ginger always costs at least 20% less than green tea. So be it.... LOL).

Yes, Mir, please tell us!!! :pWhat did you finally decide?(or open?)

You can always buy 100 seeds each day from baha store....and is usually 20% less than market value. This helped me finish those island quests requiring crops.

Aluntino - I think ginger is turning out to be like the bell peppers(before the island update) or carnations on main....it's the longest grow crop....so many farmers(including myself) plant it overnight for the BEP....so we end up having....a lot...of ginger!!!!;) But, you are also correct, that quite a few farmers haven't opened it yet either.

Yes, Brooke, you may be right.

But exactly for the same reason you're stating -to which I can add the rather misleading idea of always growing the longest available crop everywhere before an event start-, green tea should cost less, not more: it's the longest crop for those who have already unlocked it, for sure a much larger universe than ginger's (don't forget lemongrass comes before).

Underbidding, the only widespread pricing practice most players can imagine of, should guarantee it, as it already happened with bell peppers, cactus, hibiscus, coffee and -in Farm- carnations and roses (which is the very reason why I never grow any of the crops I've just listed: they're too cheap to grow, they're way better bought).

No, I really don't know. Maybe it's something related to the AM Mask recipe or to the fact Green Mateato typically sells at more than 100K CCs, which may be luring for those already lvl5 in Spa, securing a higher demand. But I'm not sure this is the reason.

I have a weakness for FSQs :p I started out innocently enough with wanting some more land on shipwreck bay. Had to get yams and kumquats for the shipwreck bay II quest.

Then the other FSQ's tempted me into getting bell peppers, lychee, jocote and anacondas, I don't even like snakes

All in all that is 120 GB :wuerg:xD:wuerg:

But it allows me to finish the following quests:
    • Gaga for Greens
    • Granola Galore
    • Lunch
    • Theme party
    • Party in paradise
    • Shipwreck bay II & III :D
Now I only need monkey breeding in order to finish Opening Gala II 8)

Update (10.12): Went down to 0 GB again today as I opened monkey breeding. Mustn't make this a habit xDxD

Well, just an update: I'm already lvl243 in Baha, got to 133 GBs, and I've just unlocked the moringa tree statue, bringing me back to 93 GBs.

I opened it now, before the mystery seedlings event due to take place this weekend, in the hope of enabling some of those seedlings to become some kind of upgraded moringa tree. Let's see. Moringa pods are pretty expensive in my market, both in absolute and relative terms, including CCs/ExV ratio terms. So, I'm compelled to have them in the land to speed up completion of the Cosmetics quest (I go on applying the green tea -and also lemongrass- for ginger strategy: it works pretty well most of the time).

Unlocking whatever needed tree statues before the mystery seedlings event may be useful for those who are needing those trees.
