Bahamarama strategies

Good tip, Aluntino. I have been contemplating opening the last chamber so I can start on those crops and trees, but beside one purchase have been holding on to 92 GBs whilst waiting for a producer's update on the new content. Since that came and went with very little detail, I may throw caution to the wind and just go on a GB spending spree to pick up at least one more new tree before the event.

At level 187 on the island now, leveling up is slower than it used to be, but not pure drudgery yet.

Edit: I did it, 12 GBs left and only then because it wasn't enough for one more crop or tree. Fingers crossed I won't regret it!

 

Not sure that the mystery seedlings are limited to the seedlings you have available? Lower level players got Baha seedlinges before even having Baha open, just as an example???

 

Yes they are limited to the rare trees and the trees you have unlocked But New players can plant the seedlings when they open bahamarama, and will have a chance to get the trees they have unlocked at the time they plant them, in addition to the rare trees. The exception is the banana palm, which you can get even if you haven't unlocked it

My strategies:

• Open all the chambers of the temple first before purchasing anything. This is a relatively new strategy, so I have purchased some crops and animals from the temple from the first few chambers, but my main aim now is to open the fourth segment of the field so that I can plant on the whole thing. I just have to open one more chamber (and then get enough GBs) in order to purchase that. Then I'll go back through and buy things from earlier chambers. Unfortunately, having only 2 GBs at the moment, the total cost of the chamber + extra field space = 75 GBs, or an increase of 15 levels....using fairly minimal crops and not the full space thank goodness for the cloud rows that give a bit more EP, and Farmhouse Orders (most of which I can't fill)
• Plant event crops overnight. They're usually the longest on Bahamarama right now for me and give the most EP
• Use comfort fields. My crops are generally pretty short so I don't have a problem waiting longer for them to be ready. I also have plenty of each crop as I am constantly planting and harvesting them to level up and get those GBs, so I'm not in a rush to get more. Whilst it's not the most effective method EP-wise, it gives me a chance to go about my RL business without having to come back quickly or leave my farm sitting idle
• Not aim for Shipwreck Bay right now. I barely have any EP items - many have gone into a cloud row. My park isn't even full, and a fair bit of that space is taken up with water tanks, so Shipwreck Bay would just go to waste.

 

I've been playing this game off and on for 3 years now. I'm definitely not an expert here by any means and I'm at a loss as to where some of these items are on the Island and how u are making them. One is this 'red punch' I keep reading about. I'm at level 96 and still need 114,814 points before I level up again. I have 40 GB's and need to get the kumquat tree before I can unlock the lychee that I need to make feed for the chameleon pens. Would it be better to get the Field 4 before I get the others? I'm looking at the numbers here and to unlock most of the Island, I'll have to level up 122 times.... sigh.. I don't plan on finishing the 'babysitter quest'.. I don't have enough items to do so. I have some pens and I'm happy with that. I need to concentrate on other things to get more BEP to level up with. Any help from the experts here would be very welcome!!

I don't have time to go into detail right now, so I'll write more later, but here is a few points:

Red punch craft item from the spa, when you "eat" it, you get 2500 BEP. I eat 6 every day, giving me 15000 BEP per day. If you don't have the spa open, I would aim for opening it

Having the full field is a huge advantage, so I would choose that before getting lychees. I would look out for good deals in the market for either chameleon feed, or chameleons.

Do you have a bahamarama breeding animal? If so try to build some colored pens/workshops. They are great for getting BEP, much better than growing crops. My favorite is orange chopstick factories. Each gives over 1000 BEP, and with church bouquet they can be harvested twice a day

 

@shetaz71 the red punch you read about comes from the spa in artisan village, you can buy it in the market under crafting., consuming it does help level up baha island so it is a good thing for a little boost, otherwise longest crop, trees and animals for baha. the orange camel and panda give a good amount of bep and if you have them it is an excellent way to build up animal stock as well.

You seem very difficulty in improving your level on B-EP.

I will provide a link guide the effectiveness of plants, animal pens or workshops. - EDIT -

Based on that table you can find which of the best producers of B-EP/hour. And would be better if combined with some buffs and watering. Or, you could do what Mir suggested.
You can make plans without disrupting the activities of your reality. Hope this can help.

Today I threw caution to the wind (or out the window) and the baby out with the bath water.
I had 75 GBs and heard rumors... Decided to open Chamber 8 and get the Harbor Statue.
Then I used what stock I had and bought some supplies and opened my first field on Shipwreck Bay and put all my Baha flowers to collect BEP (TEP if you prefer).
We shall see if this was the right move whenever the Coral Reef opens. (fingers crossed)

 

The change of the stable master rune is really messing things up for me

I have 3 red panda stalls and 5 orange chopstick factories. I used to get two harvests a day using church bouquet and valentines pot once or twice a day

But now:

• In the morning I start the chopstick factories with cloud row, church bouquet and guava jam, delete the guava jam, put in valentines pot and start panda pens
• In the evening I start the chopstick factories with church bouquet and guava jam, delete the guava jam, put in cheese balls and start panda pens
• No gold slots left for anything else

I am waiting to see if the producer will address this in the newsletter, because I really don't think it is okay to change something like this after years (I refuse to call it a bugfix) But if it will stay like this, I will have to make the best out of it, and build some other upgrades that can be harvested twice a day.


Here is what I want:

• Red chopstick factories
• Red carpet factories
• Orange bikini boutiques
• Orange camel pens

This is the long time goal, I don't even have camel breeding yet. For this weekend my goal is a red chopstick factory and a couple of orange bikini boutiques


Don't think I have ever used all the angry sheepies in one post before, but I am upset by this.

 

Mir, my hope is that they would at the very least add a separate rune on the tree to handle the same buff for workshops. It is absurd and inaccurate to call it a "bugfix." Their PR and customer care is consistently atrocious, though, so I am not holding my breath. But I sympathize and do hope they at least have the decency to address it in the producer's newsletter as you suggest. I'm surprised not to have seen a little more uproar about it on the forum. Sending you the best of luck with all breeding results to zoom your way to upgraded pens!!

Inspired by Banjoman and Mir, I am now headed off to the temple to spend all of my recently amassed 57 GB on new crops and trees (!! ) because once again, I'm completely over waiting for whatever reef or announcement about it they keep promising "soon." I hope it's not a huge mistake but in the scheme of mistakes, I probably could do worse. LOL

I have 160 MOS and 160 CP sitting in the pantry - save for emergency consumption, or hold and sell when the time is right?

Edit: 0 GB! But I see in the producer's newsletter that the feature is "coming along" or something to that effect, so I choose to take that as > or = enough time to secure more GB.

Me too! I made a post in the Farmerama features feedback thread, but I don't understand why almost no else has complained. For me this is a lot worse than the event problems people get upset over

Anyway, I am saving my MOS for when the coral reef is introduced Expect (read hope) the price will go sky high

I am much lower than you, but did get monkey breeding. It has proven very effective, even without upgrades. Among other issues, only by opening the pens do you get access to the Baha breeding animals. And, as noted, it does pay off... even without upgrades.

I had some goals I wanted to reach as soon as possible: Getting the full field, opening shipwreck bay and finishing some FSQs. Therefore I didn't open any runes that weren't absolutely necessary for those goals

But not long after that post I decided to open monkey breeding That was a good decision, since not so long ago we had an event were we had to donate yellow monkeys

 

Quite a few of us long time players remember too well the debacle of the cac/pj change, then the promise of extra diamond slot that has happened I believe only about 3 times since. We felt that some of the best features were ripped from under us, and I don't know about others but I feel that our voices/ objections to the decisions made by devs have for the most part been ignored. That is my opinion and I am sticking to it, some things have gotten better but I have no illusions, the main goal of bigpoint is to make more money.

 

Well, being long time players, me or most of us had uproar BP for many things.
the conversion of island currency to Main Farm currency. the changes of artisan
product, never let PJ /CB extend CAC/ZAB. limited slot used.
introudce the temple & the hard earning GB...
And many others, which I chose not to remember them. otherwise it will make
me get lessen & lessen interest to paly this game.
Each time BP make big chances & make player upset. I always comfort myself
with this :
It's only a games. take it easy, you could chose not paly it. Many things need
BB (money) if you can't afford, don't jealous for those BB user. They like buy.
no mystery seed/stable. come on. you could save your BB slowly to get. maybe
could not buy many of them. 1 seed/stable could be anyway.

Well, after there was no mentioning of it in the news letter, I have given up hope

So I'll focus on making some more upgrades

I unlocked camel breeding So my ambitious goal for the weekend:

• 2 orange bikini boutiques (already made one of them!)
• 1 red carpet factory
• 1 red chopstick factory

Then I will have used almost all my wood as well can never get enough wood boards

I think so too (we will learn more about the new mill in the next months), so I am down to 3 GB after unlocking camel breeding

Now I have opened all crops, trees, animals and breeding animals in the first 8 chambers super happy about that

 

I was saving GB for the coral reef, but after the news letter I lost hope on it coming soon, I think it needs at least 2 more months, I think I am going to unlock a new tree or crop, I still have sea grapes and the moringa trees, lemon grass and ginger, I was hesitating because I want to finish totally trea and the shipwreck bay IV, both are on the final stage and need the golden and diamond steps, I think I will go for the sea grape tree first, so I would have some time to stock from this tree before I open the lemon grass and start a smoothie for Laura FSQ

 

I am opening ginger today...

I wonder if the coral reef was hit by a hurricane and floated away...
