I am only one player, not a mod, not a dev:

I agree that the players that opened up breeding could have done at least the first step. They have all the right to feel upset and excluded for no apparent reason at all. An explanation would be appreciated.
I mean they still would have to get to level 66 (again not 61!) before even being able to use the chameleon stalls and maybe even open up lychees.

I am a higher level player and I have to say that I am not happy with this event at all.
So there we have an event again that does not enthuse me very much.
Some players that play this game might just be happy to play an event and get the rewards (lucky enough when their level is high enough).

But I don't want to just potter around by myself anymore.
Another challenge to me would have been for example to bump my neighbor at level 30 up to 31. So that he might be able to at least complete a couple of extra tasks if he wanted to. Well that fun has been completely taken out.

I usually try to send Red Punches to neighbors that just opened Bahama. Sometimes it happens that we talk strategies as to what to open up first. It all depends on the RL schedule too.

I like helping my neighbors especially when they are low level. I can see the actual difference it makes (instead -for my farm- a strawberry muffin/tomato chutney is a joke)...
I feel good, I achieve goals. And one of my goals is to see my low level neighbors go up in level instead of showing me a red bar.
Even if I am not concentrating on this goal too much right now...
RL has taken over again: I am packing to go to Thailand on Monday.

One of the best assets that this game has to offer is a flexibility in timing. The game can be individually adjusted to different schedules.
But lately only stalls that run forever (just my personal opinion) have been introduced!
Why not a new animal that runs three hours on the main farm (to be bought in the shop and available for low level players as well)?
Would be great if I could time my mainland animals with parrots on Bahama for example...

A neighbor of mine has lost 6 of his neighbors lately! And he said that they were mostly low to medium levels!
I would like to suggest to work on a functioning mentoring system (and I am not interested in presents from the mentor shop!).
I would like to be able to send more and other presents. And to be able to send messages to all my fellow neighbors/friends at once!
Cooldown time for messages? Why? Do you make me cry... (just a formulation, tried to rhyme... no real crying here... still!).

The future of this game depends on new players liking this game and staying on. More pockets, more money?!
The players that are paying now are already spending what they can afford.
They like the game already and I don't see any reason to put them under so much pressure and to always want more from them.
Instead of making this a fun game for players with new wallets.
Who thought excluding the lower levels was a good idea again? And why?

This is what I mean. This event is supposed to encourage the players below level 61 can have the Chameleon Stall and use it to reach the point of order.
Unfortunately, the players below level 61 can not participate in this time and they were not given the opportunity to be done in first step. I feel sorry for them.

Hopefully this will not happen again in the future. Please BP Team...

Well, I can't speak for all players below level 61, but I am one of them. I have to say this event is quite discouraging. After all, breeding is available from level 21 and like others said the sheep shearing shed becomes available for making about 10 levels later (granted, you still need the tools...), but those are doable things.

As for rewards that can't be used, let's review a something: Cloud Rows. The last few events had cloud rows (I understand there were more, I just don't know about them because I wasn't here yet) and the Advent Calendar had a Cloud Row as the BIG FINAL reward. I don't have the Magical Stalk unlocked, but I do have the Cloud Row from the Advent Calendar. The others I wasn't able to get because I couldn't complete the tasks, but still I have one cloud row "opened" which I can't use at the moment and who knows when I'll be able to use, cause I first have to complete all the tasks to open up the Magical Stalk. And that might take quite a while, depending on when I decide to breed more, probably even longer than reaching level 66 for me (56 right now at the moment of writing this).

If I look at the FSQ I see quests which I can't fulfill myself until I've opened certain things on Baha, think about the Coconut Couture. It is something I know I'll be able to do in the future. Or I buy the items I need in the Market.

So.... I don't see a reason why people as of at level 21 can't participate. BP could have made an event on a gradually scale where the requirements are adjusted to a certain level range.

Like BlackCaviar already said, those below level 61 can't see the quest.. Not in the timer, nor in the FSQ. So those who don't log in to the forums won't be really disappointed much, YET, as they don't see this information. But those players will find out they missed out on something sooner or later, that's a guarantee. The others..... Well, I think I'm not the only who's quite disappointed.

As for a challenge for high-level players.... I think I have to agree with Jenniffer and say that it might be more effective and fun to have more permanent quests for high-leveled players instead of events like these where high-leveled players get rewards like this and mgith become the object of envy from low-leveled players who weren't able to participate due to BP's reasons.

There's only one reason I can see why BP would want to do this, and that is, somehow, a change in the economy of sorts. Maybe it's because I don't buy BB's (well, usually I don't :D, save for that one time I did it on the wrong account) or anything but I see more and more FSO's and FSQ's that require products for which you need special trees, stalls and such (think about the Magical Trek quest where you need 500 lemons and Gold-Leaf and 75 Butterflies). Now, as a player you can decide NOT to fulfill these orders and quests, or..... you can buy everything you need in the market (this will probably be my option some time in the future for the Magical Trek quest, since I don't have the Butterfly House (rare stall), nor a Lemon Tree (rare tree if I'm not mistaken)). In the case of animals. etc needed for an event, this would drive the prices up, way up.....
I don't, however, understand, why BP would want to hold an event that causes this when such a thing is already happening in "normal" situations. Look at the prices for chickens, ducks, chicken feed, duck feed, etc in the market now. And these are items most players can make. The prices are already skyrocketing, if you ask me (thanks to those who have bought my chickens, ducks, etc), and this is with items all player can (soon) make.

I can only hope I'll be able to reach level 61 in time to participate in this event to at least do something of level 1. And I'll keep my fingers crossed the stalls will be in the in-game shop for CC's at a reasonable price.

So, all in all.... I'm quite disappointed but I'll keep my fingers crossed for the future :)

There have been several events in the past few weeks and several more coming up, I don't have the resources to compete for each and every event.
The fact that there is currently one that is strictly for players above level 61 does not bother me at all.
I look forward to the day that I'm the one getting the reward for hanging in there and being able to play an event that lower levels can't play.

I think it's a great benefit that we're able to build up lots of CC selling the items that the high levels need to complete this event.

I like that I was able to use items that I've been producing for the last 3 years. I like that we will get new stables, but the levels of the the stables should be given more consideration, (base plus 1 or 2 higher types). Not all players want to sell their stocks (animals or crops). Enough of the clouds rows as rewards right now. Set a time when items introduced for higher level players will be available to all. Allow milling items for events to be milled at both mills.

Biggest downer: time to mill Baby Blankets. Create a new recipe that reduces event milling by 50% or create an additive with the crops that will reduce the time (how about using pepper??).

Overall I see BP is trying, still a work in process, but I'm still here. Now if we could just tweak the amount of GB earned from harvesting.

I'm not sure how long u can sit and play this game (ombo) every day every week, but I can't do that all the time. I'm sure there are many of us out there that have homes to take care of and jobs too. It doesn't take me 5-7 days to get 5GB.. I have played this game every day for the last month (a few hours daily) and have not been able to level up in 5-7 days so I'm not sure what u are doing to level up so quick. Even with the quests completed doesn't level me up in that amount of time.

I have the chameleon pens but here's the problem... I can't feed them because I don't have the lychee's to do it. I also can't buy the lychee's because I was informed by BP that I have to unlock that icon on the island which takes GB's to do and I have to unlock the kumquat tree first! So, how is this going to help me with the next level of play for this event?

The beauty of Farmerama is that the number of hours you put into the game is nowhere near as important as strategy. The more experienced players are able to bring in massive amounts of EP and CC per day that lower level players could only dream of because they know how to work the system to their advantage, not because they spend their days glued to the computer farming 24/7. They just know how to make the most efficient use of their time and limited resources.

Leveling up on the island doesn't start and end with harvesting crops/trees/animals and completing quests. You can use upgraded (i.e., colored) pens/workshops and jumbo trees to maximize BEP per unit of space. There are EP-givers that you can get from events and place on Shipwreck Bay. Using pets will give you an EP bonus on some or all of your harvests. You can activate cloud rows and/or consume artisan products to enhance various aspects of farming in addition to getting some extra B-EP (many high-level farmers are addicted to red punch for a reason). And if you're really smart, you can play the market to make a profit off of the hard work of others. Kind of like real life. ;)

So yes, it's definitely possible to have a life and still manage to level up every 5-7 days on the island.

I'm in a similar situation. It just means that we're going to have to pay the ridiculous prices that farmers who can make chameleon feed are demanding if we want to use our stalls. The only other option is to level up as fast as possible to get the GB needed to unlock lychees so that you can make your own feed.

Just finished I'm so happy i got it all done .... spent a lot of CC's getting there but have also made CC's selling on the market ..... i'm sorry to those of you that missed out with the required level ... maybe BP could have a quest designed for those level players to run at the same time as one like this .... so everyone can achieve something and feel good ..again thank you I loved it .... now to get more GB's ... only have a few to get to unlock Lychees :)

This event wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be originally, as I was able to purchase the needed feathers and wool in the market at decent prices, and had a blast buying and selling the same. ;) I just finished here (would have been done earlier, but miscalculated my baby blanket milling :p), and should actually be able to finish on bearbabe also, and only used a portion of my PF there. Plus, I finally opened the clouds on bearbabe *does happy dance on cloud 9*, and this will be the first finished cloud row for me there :inlove:. I had fun with this event, and am feverishly growing lizards in anticipation of the promised breeding event for them. I can't put them out on bear, as nowhere near able to open lychees for feed, but that's okay, gives me time to restock PF in mill. All in all, this was a fun event for me, tho I know it's caused frustrations for those who weren't level 61. I liked the cute graphics, and the pens and PF for prizes. Thank you BP for a great event!:)

First, I see a lot of complaints above about this event not being available to lower level players, but the thing is, MOST events are geared toward lower level players, only a few (and they seem fairly recent editions) are geared toward higher level players.

It can be frustrating to see an event in which you cannot participate, but recognize that its also frustrating to be a long-standing player (not me in this game, but in others...) and to be bored because the events/challenges or whatever are so basic.

The key is to communicate. If an event is designed for higher level players, then let lower players know this... and let them know, at the same time, that other events are forthcoming for lower lever players (note, this last is still somewhat lacking, I think.. even just not showing the quest for lower level players doesn't quite do it, because folks can still hear about the event through the forums, etc.). I, personally, would like to see a simple event offered along side the more advanced events. To be really fair, rather than limiting the participation to lower players, limit the number of times one can participate. (or limit the number of times after a certain level). I realize running 2 events can be technically an issue, but its not an unsurmountable one.

Beyond that, I am glad that cameleons are awarded before they can be used. That allows people time to move up before the next event, but not lose out on this bonus.

Per the event itself, I have mixed feelings. Getting a whole lot of cameleon pens is nice (I think...), but without access to lychees, I am going to be spending a lot for feed. the pens are going to be quite expensive to "maintain". I am working toward opening my lychees, but not sure how long it will take... have to open another chamber and then another tree. first.

If I had created this "Babysitting" event. I would have allowed levels 31 and up access the number 1 silver, gold and platinum. I would have kept the 2 Chameleon pens as a reward for one of these parts. I would have offered something else besides the 4 and 6 pens for the gold and platinum and given more EP and BEP or even "gasp" Golden Bananas. The other levels then could have been restricted to those 61 and above. Just my opinion. :)

I also need to open Kumquats and Lychees. I do have the chamber open as I worked hard to get to the hibiscus in the last event.

For me, finishing whole event was pointless because there was no any particularly interesting reward around, and effect that cloud row bring wasn't worth the resources.
Instead I just focused on chameleon stalls (got 12 of them) and some extra steps for BEP.

Baby Boom was good move from BP. Worth of commending, because people will be able to finish things easier and with less Power Feed.

Although breeding animals, required for event, where not of high (breeding) level, putting them in nearly every recent event is getting kind of boring. I would really like to see some event without them.

On the bright side, chameleon stall design is quite nice, especially when you put all of them together. They keep on changing colors, like some kind of Christmas Tree. It's silly, I know, but sometimes even unintentional detail like that can provide amusement.

I think this is one of the best events:music:
Not because of the rewards but because we can sell the lowest level animals(chickens and ducks) and earn money.
We can also sell products in extremely high prices that are easy to produce as they are not coming from rare animals(feather, wool).
I don't know if it was an easy event to complete but some players were sure benefited by selling all these.

I just finished all of the first 3 levels solely for the purpose of getting "Down the Hatch". Well, I was pretty ______ when I went to put it on Baha and couldn't! Then I slowly got into the forum and after rechecking event FAQ's realized that the 2 ep/bep givers had apparently been wrong when I first copied the FAQ's (which I always do) There is no way I would be able to finish to get the bep giver I wanted. How disappointed I am. I wopuld have stopped at the first level after getting all the stalls otherwise. I realize we are all human and mistakes will be made but it's just aggravating when this happens. Plus it doesn't help when it has been so hard to get into the forum to recheck things. Yep, not happy-.--.- Just wanted to add that I will be ok with the ep giver I got but I was really going for bep's(need to level up to get GB's:p)

What a great attitude Teagle 21 ! I wish that all lower level players were able to see this and would stop griping and expecting instant gratification with everything. xD
I am a high level player and hope to finish this event in the morning when my mill finally finishes turning !! :):D I remember the early days when I was lucky to even start an event but that was part of the challenge and I knew I had more to look forward to later on.
I think this was a well structured event for those over level 61 - it is good to see BP thinking of higher level players. There will be those who gain some chameleon pens to save for later - another great idea for those players to look forward to, another incentive to get that Lychee tree rune. This game has become far more complex over the years, with the different facets becoming interlinked in an interesting way - we have artisan village products that are now well used ( they seemed a bit irrelevant to start with, which seems stupid now), we have links between Bahamarama crops and main farm etc etc. The introduction of chameleon pens, ready for future breeding and to be fed with a mix of island and main farm products, is typical of this interlinking that is taking place. I, for one, welcome these innovations to make the game more complex to play and therefore more worthwhile to pursue over a long period of time. In this event even the lower level players can gain immensely by selling the low level animals such as chickens, ducks and sheep at the greatly inflated prices. :)
BP have been listening to us. They have given an event for higher level players, an event that involves different strategies but which has benefits for lower level players too. They are also giving us more chances to gain BEP that we all badly need. I think, however, that there is a danger that BP may listen to well and make it too easy to gain BEP as there are currently many opportunities to do this. I hope that the quest for more BEP's is not spoilt by making it too easy. I eagerly await the development of the coral reef.
    Great one ! :inlove::inlove:

Sorry, I guess this really belongs in Strategy but…
Actually I thought that 5GB every 5-7 days is easy and I also assumed it was what most people do.
Nope I’m not tied to the computer at all.
I guess the difference is that many people think of this as a casual farm game and I think of it as a strategy game. If I run into a situation like I have a Chameleon but I need the Lychee I don’t get annoyed because I need so many GB to get it, I figure out the best strategy to get the GB as quickly as possible and do it.

I took advantage of Baby Booms to upgrade all my animal pens to Orange or Red, the EP/BEP is huge on them. Many farmers don’t bother to upgrade past Yellow, in my book that’s a giant mistake.

Run a Spring Wreath a couple of times a week, that adds up very quickly (especially with upgraded pens.)

Don’t waste CC on things like buying expensive feed for a Chameleon because you don’t have the Lychee, just let them sit there and put that CC towards a Chocolate Pancake or a Mango Smoothie so you can level up quicker. I pick one animal and all my sales of that animal go towards craft trade or product purchases, if you watch the market there are days that Pancake or Smoothie prices are really low.

I’ve also found that there are players who depend on growing and selling crops and other players who depend on animals. I think the animal people advance in the game much, much faster.

Here is our problem. We cannot purchase lychees in the market unless we unlock the tree and we can't unlock that tree until we unlock the kumquat tree first. I've figured it out that to unlock most of the Island, I will have to level up 122 times!! That will take me into next year! There needs to be an easier way to get GB's or get more of them every time we level up or lower the GB's needed. They can even give us 3 tree's or seeds for 25 GB's. But looking at 122 level ups for me seems to be very daunting. I enjoyed the game a lot more on the Island when all u needed to do was get a certain level and buy the seed/tree with coin.
