Is Baby Boom in Ruins?

Howdy Fellow Farmers,

Is it just me and farmlily (as she has mentioned to me), that thinks Baby Boom as taken a pitfall in the last year or two? What happened to all the great skips we use to get? Hmmm. How do the rest of you feel about Baby Boom these days? Also, I noticed there was not a post this time about what we got.

 

Yep, I noticed that as well no good skips at all this last baby boom. I didn't get any good skips a skip to next animal is standard, not good, which is what I got. very disappointed.

 

Thanks DBAYES for bringing this up and to BP's attention. I have also noticed the last 4 to 5 BBD's have been very stingy with the skips...especially on the island! I breed a lot and buy a ton of pf, but it's getting a little off-putting that I'm still not finishing a breeding animal quest! I do buy high level breeders to hasten reaching pink animals.......but it almost seems unattainable recently.

 

I agree, and as Brookeham said, in particular the Island breeding has been very disappointing.

 

I will have to admit the last several BBDs have been frustrating. While I have gotten a few decent skips... for the most part, disappointing.

 

What are skips? I never get those...

 

The Recent Baby Breeding Especially Chick and Duck Breeding, we were giving a Baby Chick for Every Chicken Breeding Motel and Baby Duck for Every Duck Breeding Motel This certainly had restricted us to get Great Skips with Chickens and Duck Breeding.

I also did some other Breeding Animals but not many this time due to not getting Great Skips, hold onto most of my Power Feeds to save up for Next Breeding Animal Maybe Breeding Chameleons, I would have though it was going to be Elephants as i have been stocking these and Peanut Butters.

We do often get the Next Two Levels Breeding Animal Skips, as we use to often get 3, 4,5,6,7,8 or 9 Level Skips from Base Animals, We hardly every get the 9th or 10 Level Breeding Animal Now, on my other Farm the best skip i got from Base Ducks was Peking Duck....on this Farm I could not get any higher that 3 Level Skips.

So I Mainly Just Focus on getting Baby Chicks and Baby Ducks. I do often Buying Many Breeding Animals i see that is under valued to Breed that would get me even better Valued Breeding Animal combined the value of the four Breeding Animals i have used for Breeding minus 2 Power Feeds. In Breeding Events in the Past this had worked well for me cos my Breeding Strategy to be able to complete Breeding Quests using little Power Feeds as possible.

But Lately Many Breeding Animals have gone through the Roof in Prices Especially Level 8, 9 and Level 10 Breeding Animal, in the couple of recent Events Even Level 1 and Level 2 Breeding Animals such as Roaster and Silky was selling for at least 40 K each and Mallards and Motor Ducks too as Many of you Made a Killing in CC with these Breeding Animals I certainly did this was one One Time we hoped we did not get Skips Cos Level 3 Breeding Animal on These was value for much less than Level 1 and 2 Breeding Animal so those wanted to make good CC happy to spend Power Feeds without waiting for Baby Boom hoping to help just get Better Skips and Gain many Normal Animals Back.

We seemed to be getting Lessor Great Skips weather it is Baby Boom or Not, You Guys Maybe be right the Breeding Mechanics it not working as well as it use to be.....I was lucky to win a Golden Donkey on the Wheel about a Month Ago, With Breeding it would cost me well over 2000 to 5000 Power Feeds to Get a Golden Donkey.

Even if we brought Certain Breeding Animals to help us save Power Feeds to get these highly sought after Breeding Animals, as this had damper our progress since Big Point had introduce a New Quest called Soups and Friends Quest. It just too expensive to buy the Level 8 or 9 Breeding Animal to help us get the Mike Shake Cow, Piggy Bank Pig, Picasso Horse, Sparkle Fish, Bee utiful Bee, Skating Ostrich or Even Golden Donkey.

These Breeding Animals getting Skips is very Random really but the Randomness of getting Great skips seems to be on a decline, some say get better skips on certain breeding animals, some say it does not seem that way. We ought to be getting Great Skips every now and then. But the Prospects of that Happening to us is hard to tell as we not posting much about our Breeding Results like we use to do, so we can compare our breeding outcomes

I do Hope we will be getting Great Skips like we use to get, until When it hard to say or perhaps it all depends on our luck !!! so for Time being i am Browsing the Breeding Markets for Bargain Buys when i can !!!

I have Put Breeding Island Animals on Hold as not getting good prices selling island Breeding Animals not Buying Bargain Island Breeding Animals at the Moment

I have completed the Pig Breeding Quest over a year ago, when Pig Breeding Animals was in my opinion was very undervalued, I can actually complete Goat and Chicken Breeding right now if i wanted too, but just holding onto these just in case a new quest require these get good money for them, I descided to sell a Picasso Horse for about 15 Million CC, as I got all of Breeding Horses to complete Horse Breeding. But that Project is put on hold as i need Picasso Horse for Soups and Friends Quest

 

I think we got mostly "backward" skips. Multiples of animals one or more levels lower than what the original breeding was for. Sometimes I got 6 basic animals. Gee, now I get to use more PF.

 

I did get a few small skips but only when I did not want them!

 

I was VERY discouraged with BB the last 4 or 5 times. I thought something was wrong with this farm However this time I did manage to get an Alpine and a Flaming Steer both from the same pen of regular cows Quit breeding shortly after that bc I figured I better not press my luck

 

It is becoming more disappointing each BBD. I buy way to much PF and it's like throwing it away, not hardly a decent skip in sight. I find myself in the market buying the higher levels and selling off what I got.

 

hmm... maybe its because I am relatively new, but I was actually pretty happy with the skips I got. I get better luck, it seems by putting breeding pens in my magic glade.

I wonder if the perception of poorer skips is based on data or just perception. That is, it could be that as your need for higher level animals increases, you just notice lower level animals more. Early on, getting even a lower level animal still seems a good reward, and higher level animal is a bonus. Or, it could be just that people unhappy with the skips are more likely to see and respond to this thread.

OR, it could be that the return for higher level breeding is no different from that for lower level animals, again offering the perception that things are skewed, when in truth, its that they are not skewed up.

Anyway, the only way to really know would be to keep track of ALL returns and then do the numbers. Even doing that for just one animal, say chickens or ducks, would be difficult, though. Too small of a sample, too few people submitting accurate data or people breeding too few animals would skew results.

 

I'm glad it's not just me. I'm slogging away to get top animals with the occasional nice skip and as for the island, I don't think I've ever had a decent skip there.

 

Breeding up all my animals til there are none and spending rl monies to buy a couple thousand PF every Baby Boom and then to sell the small skips to eventually gain enough CC's to buy a Pink animal that I need. I think if you have bred up all your animals for several BBD'a you should get a great skip often. Now I did get one Great Skip...a Karate Panda ( yes, I was in shock) but only after thousands and thousands of PF and all my Pandas ever since Panda were available to breed. The Skips saves us rl monies for sure!

 

A Chuckle for today....I'm trying to breed squirrel monkies for comic event....so low and behold I get a gorilla monkey from 4 regs....LOL
