Now we can be sure to complete Stage 1. Just do not harvest your trees if you have auto harvest and you'll likely get 2 days worth of EPs on initial harvest...

Anyone else logged in and lost their buffs? I have just rushed home from work used 2 Easter Marmalades, my only Spring wreath and a pinkie pie to find out when I went to the main square that the event is postponed? Absolutely fuming about this. Sat up very late last night working out all the trees and stables I had and their values to get the tasks done in the timescales and now very disappointed in Bigpoint indeed. Really didn't feel the need to go into the forum and read it all again. Am I the only one? I don't rile easily at all but this has done it! It would have been fairer to have a newsflash pop up on the news screen then no-one would have wasted precious buffs.

 

All I can say is now I have a much better idea of how much EP I'll be getting No more concerns in that area of this event.

 

On the bright side, I had the chance to test actual EP yield since I decided to harvest everything with 1 PAC and 1 EM active: just from what I had in the Glade I got 78+K EPs, without even SprWr active, only EM. This test means tomorrow I won't waste either an EM or a SprWr (I'll need that slot right away for ZAB or White Innocence).

So, I'll delete all surplus trees everywhere else (once they're ready if they aren't already) and free up all the additional XXLs I placed in the Glade (I can add them later). I'll leave the highest EP-yielding trees though, so that they stack EPs and fruit for tomorrow (advantage only available for those having Premium Membership active).

 

I am in the same boat....farm covered in trees and as productions pens were ready, they were removed and replaced with trees. I also used Spring wreath and EM before I saw the postponement. I have decided to miss happy harvest day and leave trees out anyway. It takes 20 hrs for them to be ready so it will align with the start of the event tomorrow. I have more family obligations today so it will be best for me to just leave trees. I cannot make SW and if we need it for both timed events, I am off to the market...I did not calculate tree EP when harvesting b/c farm was a mixture of trees and pens and my poor tired brain did not calculate which was which...

Seriously, it's a great recipe. But off my limits for the moment.
The only bright side of this postponement for me is that I saw that my magical glade had over 60K of EP, more than enough for step 1. Without using any buff recipe.
I feel for those who had put their recipes active just to find them useless.
To be fair, usually BP compensates for mistakes like this one. Let's hope that they feel the same this time around. Fingers crossed.

 

I did not start any buffs as I learned my lesson long ago to check to see if the event has actually started. However, I have used over 100 SSG on trees that I now have sitting waiting for the start tomorrow. At least I'm not losing out on the Happy Harvest Day as that too has now been postponed. This is not how I planned to spend the day.

 

I hate the forecast start time. Here in the US, that is in the middle of the night. Usually, I can set my alarm early to get up at 4:50 a.m. for starting and harvest the last time if necessary at the end. Now, I am looking at a 2 a.m. start/ending time. With a bed time of 9 p.m. and a wake up time of no earlier than 5, I will loose at least 8 hours of the event because I can't function getting up at 2 a.m. and do all the micromanageing necessary for an event.

Any ideas on how to make up this time without needing to stay awake 5 extra hours for the start and the finish time so that I can at least think somewhat well? I also wonder if I can mange a day with only 3 hours of sleep.

 

Green Mateato is not useless but only limited to Baha and uses a gold slot. The 50% EP-boost it yields on Baha crops and trees is less than the 60% of EM + SprWr combined that affect all items everywhere, including EP-/B-EP-givers. In my opinion, it'd mean a misuse of 1 gold slot. Besides, typically, 1 GM costs nowadays more from mkt than 1 EM + 1 SprWr and only lasts 6 hs while both EM and SprWr last 12. I strongly recommend to disregard GM as an option.

 

I haven't had a chance to read the thread, so someone may have addressed this, but I'm wondering about those who have the gold and diamond premium packages, which has auto tree harvest. I forgot about that when setting out my trees last night, woke up and realized that, since my game is set to go directly to the main field upon login, I'd lose any EP from the trees in that field when I logged in because I wouldn't have a chance to start the timer. Was not disappointed at the change in start time, as gave me a chance to change my settings so I go to the map on login instead. So for those with premium packages, you might want to make sure your settings are such that you will be able to start the timer and activate buffs before going to your fields. Hope this saves some frustration for some farmers. Good luck everyone!

 

spots, are you a sure that changing the map setting is enough?

I have never had premium, so I am not sure how it works. I go directly to the map when logging in, but I have seen that the main field loads first, then I am taken to the map. This is especially visible after clearing cache, when loading a field takes much longer.

I don't know if this influences the auto tree harvest or not, maybe someone else knows? To be on the safe side, you can turn off auto tree harvester in the premium villa, and then turn it back on after starting the timer

The above statement has been updated. It looks like the old type workshops that do count are the Parrot, Elephant and Beaver ones. Also, Spooky stables are counted for step 3 as well.

so production pens counts except 3(Parrot, Elephant and beaver). So we will put production pens in our farm to get the EP amound for level 3

 

I can tell you for sure that the main field loads and will auto harvest your trees if still turned on. Even though the map "loads" first and I have to click on a field after. You can actually see the main loading underneath.

 

Mir, no, I'm not sure, it was all I came up with. Great reminder to deactivate auto tree harvest, thank you, I'd forgotten you can do that, lol. Now I can harvest all my pets before I harvest my trees and get the EP boost from them, also. (I was concerned about not being able to get the full benefit of the pets on each field because of auto harvest, but you solved my dilemna) pepsi, thank you for that further information. Between the two of you, I feel a little more confident that I won't lose EP for the first level. Am a bit disappointed that mega EP day is happening now, and not timed to coincide better with the start of the event. Many farmers will miss out because it will end before they are able to log on and take advantage of the extra EP .
