Bring them too! I know when the house is warm enough because all the animals lay in front of the fire and sleep in odd/awkward positions

    Hi everyone!
Today when I woke up, I saw what I was waiting for years....
It is snowing in my island:D :inlove:I can't believe it!
It is snowing a lot now but the ground isn't covered with snow because there is so much wind.
There have been some power cuts in the morning and I am sure there will be more...

Me and my mango' s are drooping the weather is so hot. Mid 80's. I would love a blast of cold air so with that being said I am off to put my head in the freezer and retrieve some ice cream or maybe a Popsicle. To dream of hot chocolate:)

16 degrees, wind chills this morning were -8. Not usually this cold on Long Island during the winter. Wishing for spring!:(

The only thing I like about snow is the way the air is super fresh, like farmlily3 described. It takes all the pollen and pollution out of the air. But it's cold and hard to walk in so... I have no use for it in my yard. lol

We had some rain but it's been a couple of weeks. No precipitation in the 7 day forecast. That's bad news for those of us who worry about the drought. I'm afraid if I do a rain dance we'll have a flood. Maybe I'll do a snow dance. lol

On the other hand... It was 66F yesterday, a new record. Almost the same all week. I'm loving it. Lows in the 40sF. A bit chilly. I have to wear clothes aka long pants and sleeves. LOL!

lovely, I hope that flood didn't cause you and your mom too much trouble. That's awful.

Sorry, been too busy to read or post in this thread lately.

I'm just going to jump in by posting my weather as I do not have a whole lot of time...

We have about a foot of snow. I love it. Because of our lovely hill and the trees blocking out a lot of light, we always have more snow than anyone else in town. It's not snowing right now, but when it has been snowing lately, it's just a nice, soft fall, the kind people dream of.

It's actually quite a bit warmer today than it has been. 10 degrees Fahrenheit. It has been in the negatives for the past week or so. It's a shame it's starting to warm up.

I love all weather, but I love snowy freezing weather for my birthday, so I hope it stays this way or gets colder for at least another week!

This days when I look outside on window and I see the sun I fill like the winter is over but the negative temperature shows me I'm wrong. It's like an awakening from dreaming. Brrrrr

Well it's 1C outside and wet - sometimes I love my country, sometimes I could happily emigrate to the Southern Hemisphere.

No winter weather her in Ca, but was woken by an earthquake this morning at 5 am a big 4.4 felt like a good 6.0!!!! I guess the second floor is more extreme since all the bedrooms are upstairs...lol! Epa center was about 2 miles away. Nothing like the 1989 earthquake but scary enough to jump out of bed!! LOL!

    lovelyfarm1, that's a disaster.
    Where do you live?

DBAYES, so sorry to hear that you had an earthquake. I never had one. Not once in my area.

Expecting snow in morning 3-6 inches in MD, we are all stocked up the girls playing dance games. School was already closed tomorrow, so no worries on that front. NY is going to get 2 feet of snow so worried about some family up there.

8)Hi, all! We're in for it here in Massachusetts - a snow storm/blizzard starting tonight and going all day tomorrow....high winds and approx. 2 feet of snow with 3 ft. drifts +/-.o_O

This is a time to be grateful for our warm and cozy homes to watch all this wild and lovely whiteout madness the next couple of days. I can't help but think of all the homeless people who have been in the news lately, and how the shelters fill up. I wonder about those who have no place?? Please, will anyone so minded offer your concerned prayers and/or make whatever donations possible to these places?? Who knows what difference this could make in such an unfortunate circumstance. Many thanks to all who are able.:inlove:

farmlily, thank you for the excellent reminder to pray for and help those who can't help themselves right now. I think the trivia of everyday life sometimes makes me forget how blessed I am. For all those experiencing severe weather, my thoughts and prayers are with you *hugs*. All our snow has melted off in the last week, as we went from perfectly normal winter temps (20ish) to almost 60 fahrenheit.o_O I told my husband, it never fails, we finally get a chance to go ice fishing (he has extended days off), and all the ice melts!:p:cry:xD Forecast looks to stay somewhat warm (40s) for at least the next week. I don't doubt that we'll get at least one more subzero stretch, and a couple more blizzards, tho. This is Montana; don't like the weather? wait 5 minutes, it will change.:pxD

DB, I'm glad you're okay after your earthquake, if a bit shaken up. We had one here several years ago, I don't remember the official richter number, but I think it was like 2 or thereabouts. It was the weirdest sensation, the floor just vibrated real hard for a few seconds, then it was over.

And, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Arielh!:inlove: And you too, MonkeyEm!:inlove:

8)Spots, you are so right - the trivia of everyday life does sometimes make us all forget to care and share with others where we can.
I know your kind thoughts and prayers are well appreciated!:inlove:
