Farmerama Comic #7 Strategies

A few minutes left on step 3. I am 10,000 short., so no bear, but I got all but a bit of the other items. Planting my fields for the last 2 steps.

 

Well, for me, step one was finished in the first harvest of the day. Did about 4,000 event crops before putting out my animals. Step 3 was a bit harder. I had animals every where and waited until they were all ready. I did cloud rows and buffs and got 42,000. I was able to finish within the 24 hours, but used about 70 PF on the highest pens to get it done. I then proceeded to grow event crops with roses overnight. I still have about 64 drops to get, but should get them since I am growing roses only now. I was lucky to have all the other required crops and monkeys on hand.

 

Well, event crows, and spider monkeys, I like that ... cute !

 

Nobody should worry about getting the bear stable (I have 19 of them and never -never- use them) if doing so would put too much strain to your life or jeopardize the possibility of getting the event crops done on time for completing the event. Again, the juicy outcomes of this event are not any of the pens -even chameleon's yellow upgrades-: they're the EP-giver (step2) and the cloud row (step5).

A bear stable takes ages whearas a bear can easily be bought from mkt at a range between 1000 and 1600 CCs each. That is, one bear is the equivalent of 40 to 80 oats that can be easily, cheaply and quickly produced in 36 minutes, the time elapsed maybe between your breakfast start and its end....

For those who haven't undertaken step3 yet, I suggest to think again before dumping valuable resources and time to get it completed if it's a hard struggle -of whatever kind- for you: 40/80 oats = 1 bear --> no strains to your life would be justifiable to overdo the effort just to get a truly dispensable bear habitat. Get the 2400 EPs and move forward. (Not even 2400 EPs are needed: see escalonilla's post below....).

EDIT: However, this out of the blue appearance of a bear habitat as a prize tells me BP is planning to ask for bears in some future, not so far in time, quest or event. Go to mkt, then, and get bears while they are still rather cheap.

 

Just wanna add that you dont even need 2400 EP to move forward. I did it with just 240 EP and it worked.
I'm just a few batteries away to finish step 5.

 

It Does strike as odd they give a bear Habitat during this Event. It would have make sense to give us a Wolf Pen or Stork Pen or any other Rare Animal Pen that is needed to help complete Recent Farm Society Quests

I am Crop Farmer Mainly as I rarely put out animal pens on basis i can grow and reap crops more effectively than animal pens plus some crops are now selling for good cc. I also do refinements too to help make my crop farming more effective.

The Recently New Cloud Row that gives 30% More EP on Flower Crops and be used injunction with my refined flower crops make flower farming more effective but cannot used refinement on island Flowers but using Buffs and Pets combined with this flower cloud row does help boost Flower Ep on the island as I need lots of Bromeliad to Make Red Punches anyway this certainly help my production of red punches that i can either sell or EAT....

These Yellow Chameleon Pens have no use to me Yet, as I am buying up Chameleons in my market as cheap as i can, plus i am also buying up many other cheap animals too due to the fact i have notice the rising cost of Animal Feeds in the Markets not enough mill time to make sufficient animal feeds for all the Animal Pen that we need it for especially island animal feeds takes a fair while to mill etc

That cloud row at Level 5 is well worth Getting to those who struggle to level up the island for those Needy GBs. I now got i Think 9 cloud rows that give Bahm EP

I want to say well done to all those who have completed this event or put in their best effort igotfrogs had been up all night trying to complete level 3 defo case of serious FOCD lol but hope you have a lovely Beauty sleep after this event

This had certainly been more challenging event for us especially those timed events, some of us struggled real hard to do it some of us did it with easy, sorry to those who not been well enough not to be able to do much or not at all with this event to thinking of well wishes to them

Those Party Spins did many of us to Get Lyrical Lupine to complete flower cloud row, but some of us did not have luck like some of us did I got my Lyrical Lupine on my 2nd Spin so Overall Please with this event. As these posting does help others to do better and eventually with ease next time

 

I still have not gotten a single flower on the Party Wheel. Granted, I don't buy spins, so there haven't been a ton, but I only ever spin when there is a flower in the top spot. For those who have gotten ALL of them, how???!?!?!?!

 

shodack, I have spent money and I still don't have them all. It is just luck or farmers spending for 100s of spins. I bought 25 and had earned some but I'm still one flower short of the cloud row. I have gotten some other nice things along with lots of turbo mulch.

 

I generally don't use party spins unless there is a good red stable listed as a potential prize (that's the way I've got my 2 red donkey stables).

I've got most of the flowers on the previous Farmwheel Fun Day -I then bought some spins- and have been lucky enough to get the Lyrical Lupine right on my 4th spin this time. I made the wheel spin some more times (5 or 6) and got a second one but none of the other flowers. For me, the hard item has been the Jolly Lily -I've got the only one I have that went to the cloud row on the previous FFD edition-.

So, based on this "experience", limited to 10 spins tops in total, I was left with the impression that in current FFD odds of getting flowers have been lowered -though I might be absolutely wrong-, except for the newest one.

(By the way, the cloud row is awesome: I'm taking advantage of it for flowers in the Island, while I confined event crops to the Farm. I foresee a sustained reduction of flowers prices in mkt in the near future....).

 

I finished on this farm and loving the cloud row. I also managed to get the last flower from the wheel. My other farms are close and just waiting for the last of the drops. (but no luck on the wheel) BTW I just save up my spins
I do want to say that my granddaughter managed level 3 completely. She doesn't have very many upgraded animals but started with them all (including the production pens that were permitted). When I spoke to her yesterday she said that her biggest problem was running out of feed. She wound up using about 70 chicken and had monkeys and parrots on the Island! In the process she managed to level her Island and was able to open monkey breeding. Talk about FOCD and I thought I was bad!

 

I finished step 4. I will be growing event crops until the cows come home but should be able to finish. The crops should get me the remaining 105 drops I need for the last step. Have my red cabbage and squirrel monkeys waiting.

I am short one flower for my cloud row. I agree that the odds are less on getting flowers this time. If I don't get it before the next chance to trade, I'll be searching to make a deal!

 

I finished step 3 last night and was 719 ep's short of the 60,000 Really wanted that bear but I am proud of what I did accomplish as I managed to get 8 out of the 10 upgraded stalls. I will be able to finish this event and get that cloud row as I used some GB's to open monkey breeding. Maybe that was a mistake and should have saved GB's...time will tell but I think having that cloud row will be more beneficial in the long run than holding on to the GB's I used.

 

I plant & plant before doing LV 3, when I near finished LV 3, I free the
MF for planting event crop. But the PC troubles make me forget to
check event crop qty. I actually finished LV 4 instantly. Now, after palnting
my 4 field. I only need 1700 event crop will be all done. look today could
finsihed this event.
Oh... the monkey..... yes! they are in the barn.
I had already bought them from market at day 1 or 2.

 

I finished step 4 and only need to grow 4,000 more event crops for step 5. While waiting I made a million cc's selling mushrooms, circle crops and red cabbage. I love this event. Will start to restock my crops when done with event tomorrow.

 

Well, I finished the event just after midnight Eastern Standard.
Enjoying my new cloud row and now replacing stock and crops and getting ready for the Birthday Party.

 

Have just completed step 4. Just need event crops and about 100 drops to finish.

 

I have got more than half the necessary EP on Illy's farm (and still have three Jumbos to harvest) so when I harvest again tomorrow before work, I should make it okay. This farm may struggle but if, and only if, I am close, I may invest a few tools and get some more Peanut Butter Factories. I have tons of Peanut Butter and don't usually "grow" my own as the cost of two Elephants far outweighs the price of Peanut Butter at the moment.

I have already grown all the crops and have everything else apart from a few drops, which should come today or tomorrow. So as soon as I have got past step 3, I will finish the others in quick succession by tomorrow at the latest on both farms.

Regarding the flowers from the Farmwheel - It took me ages to get any of them, then I got a couple of all of them except the Jolly Lily. Eventually I got the Jolly Lily on this farm. I got the new one on both farms very quickly but the Jolly Lily is still eluding Illy. I usually only spun the wheel if I saw the flower I wanted but as the latest one is also the last, if I read correctly, I spin whenever I see any flowers. I never buy spins - I would never know when to stop!

I still don't know if I will ever use the Cloud Row - I may only activate it if I had to grow flowers and/or for events. Other than that, the flowers are blooming on my island and my park.

 

Step 4 is done. Still have lots of event crops to grow. Also need to grow some red cabbage and get some more drops. Still think completion is within my grasp.

 

I bought tonnes of Party Spins during the last event.
I was lucky to get 2 Lupines from the 33 Tickets I had this time around, so no buying.
Should be completing event in 4 hours time...


UPDATE: Finished. Downloaded the aeroplane...

 

Good going Mr P. And with the technical hitch too. I am way behind but I might have been a bit quicker if I didn't have to work lol!
I just did something that went against all my principles ... I fed my Pandas and Peanut Butter Factories *little Ned Flanders scream* ... Powerfeed! Realised that my Plan C involving building more Peanut Butter Factories would fail at the first hurdle - only had enough tools for one! Only needed about another 20!
Note to self: Remember which farm has all the stuff!
